There is a rumour circulating in the alternative media saying ICANN advised the Internet is going to go down this weekend—completely—for “maintenance”.
ICANN’s website makes no mention of this.Β The website cited for this bit of “news” is questionable; has no contact information, and focuses on marketing technologies. Clickbait, anyone?
There is this, however, from the India Times—a respectable source.
I suspect few have the capability to simply take down the World Wide Web except in a couple of isolated, critical circumstances. I don’t think “maintenance” is a reason anyone but the Highest Powers can justify to bring all the commerce on the planet to a full stop. The criminals and crony corporations make millions via the Internet.
Everyone needs the Internet for their “comms”—the bad guys and the good guys. The chances they will take it down are slim. We have thousands of people displaced and missing as a result of the recent weaponized hurricanes and communications are critical.
As this war goes into high gear the fear porn is ramping up. Good grief—the Internet’s going down, the Presidential FEMA alert is going to steal our data and spy on us, the aliens are coming to get us, and the sky is falling.

Facebook has admitted that hackers accessed the data of 29 million users on the social network by using people’s friends lists to steal access tokens. It explained that 50 million people’s access tokens are believed to have been affected, and that 30 million of those actually had their tokens stolen. Memo Reveals Soros-Funded Social-Media Censorship Plan

The recent wave of censorship of conservative voices on the internet by tech giants Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Apple mirrors a plan concocted by a coalition of George Soros-funded, progressive groups to take back power in Washington from President Trumpβs administration.
On Monday, the Gateway Pundit blog noted the memoβs relationship with recent moves by Silicon Valley tech giantsΒ to βshadow banβΒ conservative political candidates and punditsΒ andΒ remove content.
The memo spells out a four-year agenda that deployed Media Matters along with American Bridge, Shareblue and Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) to attack Trump and Republicans.
TheΒ strategies are impeachment, expanding Media Mattersβ mission to combat βgovernment misinformation,β ensuring Democratic control of the Senate in the 2018 midterm elections, filing lawsuits against the Trump administration, monetizing political advocacy, using a βdigital attackerβ to delegitimize Trumpβs presidency and damage Republicans, and partnering with Facebook to combat βfake news.β
Quashing βfake newsβ with βmathematical precisionβ
The Free Beacon in its January 2017 story said Brock sought to raise $40 million in 2017 for his organizations.
The document claims Media Matters and far-left groups have βaccess to raw data from Facebook, Twitter, and other social media sitesβ so they can βsystemically monitor and analyze this unfiltered data.β
βThe earlier we can identify a fake news story, the more effectively we can quash it,β the memo states. βWith this new technology at our fingertips, researchers monitoring news in real time will be able to identify the origins of a lie with mathematical precision, creating an early warning system for fake news and disinformation.β
Media Matters met with Facebook, which boasts some 2 billion members worldwide, to discuss how to crack down on fake news, according to the memo.
TheΒ social media giantΒ was provided with βa detailed map of the constellation of right-wing Facebook pages that had been the biggest purveyors of fake news.β
Brockβs memo also says Media MattersΒ gave Google βthe information necessary to identify 40 of the worst fake new sitesβ so they could be banned from Googleβs advertising network.
The Gateway Pundit pointed out that in 2016, Google carried out that plan on the Gateway Pundit blog and other conservative sites, includingΒ Breitbart, the Drudge Report, Infowars, Zero Hedge and Conservative Treehouse.
Facebook, meanwhile has changed its newsfeed algorithm, ostensibly to combat βfake news,β causing a precipitous decline in traffic for many conservative sites.
President Donald Trump himself was affected, with his engagement on Facebook dropping by 45 percent.
A study in June by Gateway Pundit found Facebook had eliminated 93 percent of the traffic of top conservative news outlets.
Western Journal, in its own study,Β found that while left-wing publishers saw a roughly 2 percent increase in web traffic from Facebook following the algorithm changes, conservative sites saw a loss of traffic averaging around 14 percent.
On Aug. 6,Β WND reported, Facebook, YouTube and Apple banned commentator Alex Jones and his Infowars website within hours of each other.
Last month, WND reported moderate Muslims and counter-terrorist activists were increasingly being restricted by Silicon Valley, while terrorist content remains on social-media platforms, according to researchers.
Trump campaign chief Parscale said last week the banning of Jones βwill inevitably lead to the silencing of those with far less controversial opinions.β
βWhat we are seeing in Big Tech is the inherent totalitarian impulse of the Left come into full focus,β Parscale said.

This update was to be published yesterday but it was too cumbersome to deal with and I didnβt get far. I kept getting error messages and when Number One did his analysis of our comms he reported the ship was definitely running slow, with the number of attempted hack attacks almost doubled in the past 72 hours.
He understood that as soon as Kavanaugh was confirmed the attacks across the web skyrocketed and a number of sites were affected. He is sourcing more dilithium crystals to increase our speed but my phone line cut out in the middle of a call with him and then my Internet was down briefly too, so I was a little frustrated. Weβre supposed to have a tech working on the phone/Internet today. They work on it every week but it doesnβt get fixed. They can put bases on Mars but canβt give me a fast, reliable phone or web connection. Go figure.
In the interim, because itβs been difficult working with the Starship Earth blog I posted at the Captainβs Blog instead. I published the newest War Drummer video there around dinner time yesterday and it has completely vanished. Itβs not a draft, and it didnβt publish, so Iβm including it below. Itβs a must watch video about a Democracy and a Republic that puts things in a new perspective.
I also shared a video last night of some additional, revealing footage during the SpaceX rocket launch on Sunday and that post on the Captainβs Blog is apparently off in hyperspace somewhere too. Why are there so often UFOs/UAPs around for these launches? Thereβs obviously more to it than they would like us to know, but βwe knowβ. See that video below.

The Justinformed Talk channel made a video telling us that YouTube demonetized every one of his videos that they hadnβt already messed with in the past. Unfortunately, most of his videos are Q-related, making him a target. He is upset because he makes videos to support his family and doesnβt know what heβs going to do.

Politkovskaya was shot and killed in Moscow on 7 October 2006. In 2003, she received theΒ OSCE Prize for Journalism and DemocracyΒ for her courageous professional work in support of βhuman rights and freedom of the mediaβ.
The Representative noted the decision of the European Court of Human Rights, on 17 July 2018, which ruled that the length of the investigation, along with the βabsence of tangible resultsβ, indicated that the investigation has been ineffective.
In June 2014, sentences were handed down to five individuals for the murder of Polikovskaya, a development which was welcomed by the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media (seeΒ www.osce.org/fom/119640). However, the investigation was unable to name those who commissioned the crime.
Marinova is the third reporter to be killed in the past 12 months in the EU.
