Astrology Status for 09/18 – October 2015

The Threshold

by Carl Boudreau

Not Just Another Ingress

I think the best way to understand October 2015 is as a followup to Saturn’s re-entry into Sagittarius for the full transit. This ingress is one of those astrological events whose truly immense significance can easily be missed.

It’s true that October will be about coming to terms with the complexity and difficulty of the energies unleashed in September, among other things (http://on.fb.me/1FMYcNo). But the deeper astrological truth about October is that it will help us once again bring the gifts of Saturn to bear against injustice, inequality, exploitation and oppression. Saturn’s Sagittarius ingress will end a hazardous, decades long odyssey for Saturn and the world.

saturnSaturn and the Major Planetary Cycles

Astrologers who study the long term, pay special attention to the cycles of the outer planets: Saturn/Pluto, Uranus/Pluto, Neptune/Pluto cycles, etc., etc. In this post, I will be primarily concerned with recent Saturn cycles.

Such cycles begin with a conjunction and end when the two bodies return to conjunction decades later. In the first half of these cycles, beginning just after the initial conjunction, the planets move toward opposition. During this phase, until the point of opposition, the faster moving, separating planet, remains subordinated to the the slower moving planet.

Beginning in 1980, all of the outer planets, including Saturn, gathered in a fairly tight grouping in signs closely identified with the 1% – power signs. Consequently, all of their Saturn cycles began at roughly the same time.

As a result, during those years, Saturn was subordinated to Uranus. Uranus was subordinated to Neptune. Neptune was in turn subordinated to Pluto. The combined power of all the outer planets was subordinated to the power of Pluto. The power of the outer planets was woven into a single intense current of social, economic and political power under the sway of Pluto, a planet associated with the use of power for its own sake.

Pluto would be supreme. Saturn would remain in a deeply subordinate, weakened position in relation to the other outer planets for the better part of the next 30 years. While Saturn was so subordinated, the world, freed from the discipline of careful thought and hard work, would get progressively more out of control.

THE-1-PERCENT

Advantage the 1%

This alignment took place in the signs Libra thru Pisces – signs closely associated with society’s social, cultural, economic and political elites – the 1%. This new concentration of power was in addition to the considerable advantage the elite already had by virtue of their position in society.

Under the influence of this grand alignment, every conceivable effort was made to channel social, cultural economic and political power into the hands of the 1%.

A World Without Saturn

Saturn stands for sober and objective judgment. It tests our reasoning, our skills and our assets against reality. It imposes discipline and hard work. It engenders good conscience and strength of character.

Saturn is blind to privilege. Its reason is unfailingly rigorous. Its commitment to the truth is unimpeachable. Its sword cuts both ways.

With Saturn subordinated to Pluto, et. al., little if any defense remained against the accumulation and inevitable abuse of power by the overly empowered 1%.

With Saturn’s influence so seriously impaired, rules were bent and broken with relative impunity. Science and sound reasoning took a back seat to demagoguery. The truth gave way to outright lies. The public conscience was muted. Nothing was out of bounds if it increased the concentration of wealth and power in the hands of the 1%.

The grand alignment has been breaking up slowly for some years, now, and it will continue to break up in slow stages over the coming decades.

angelic super heroOne of the things we can look forward to in the near term, though, is the return of Saturn’s power. Saturn will dramatically re-empower those among us who fight for social, political and economic justice.

Saturn in Sagittarius, a Major Milestone

As explained above, during a Saturn cycle, Saturn will initially break free of the slower moving planet’s dominance at the halfway point, at the opposition. Saturn does not actually come into its own, however, until it squares the slower planet in the final quarter of the cycle, as it returns to conjunction.

Accordingly, Saturn reasserted some of its power when it squared Pluto from Libra in 2009-12. Saturn will assert significantly more of its power as it squares Neptune from Sagittarius.

sagittarius full moonIn fact, Saturn in Sagittarius is forming a T-Square with Jupiter in Virgo and Neptune in Pisces. The intense, prolonged friction from this T-Square will affect all of the mutable signs – the signs that govern the creation, maintenance and dissemination of thought.

In so doing, the T-Square will burn off the grit of lies that has frozen the gears of reason. It will dispel the fogs that blind people to the truth and to their own best interests.

Saturn’s Sagittarius ingress will, in effect, empower those who speak truth to power. It will awaken reason and conscience from their long slumber.

For the first time in many decades, the 99% will have the tools to block further abuses by the 1% and roll back previous abuses. They will have the resources to find genuine, truthful answers to the countless questions enveloping us.

Imposing Truth on Power

One of the most insidious effects of the great alignment of the last thirty-some years was the creation of a worldview enshrining the ideas and false principles that supported the supremacy of the 1%. This great body of lies flourished and grew for decades in Saturn’s absence. A great density of lies shielded the 1% against the truth and the consequences of their actions.

through the veilOn of the most important and empowering effects of Saturn’s ingress will be to destroy this false worldview, suppress the demagoguery it engenders and answer the lies that breed oppression and exploitation. The ingenious lies that used to set the ignorant marching will fall flat.

Truth will begin to matter again. It will become progressively easier to convince each other and ourselves to do the right thing for the right reason. Blessed once again with conscience and the power of individual thought, people will break free of the oppressive system we have created since the 1980s.

So think good thoughts about Saturn, and spare a generous thought for the Sagittarians who actually have to deal with Saturn in their Sun sign. πŸ˜‰

Carl Boudreau: Overview of Current Astrological Intensity ~ May 19, 2015

kaapunaandsea2_l

I think we can all agree that our worldΒ  is changing. For me personally, I couldn’t be happier about this change because it it fuled by Love! Intense solar and cosmic energies are affecting all life on earth, but so is something else, the placement of the heavenly bodies around us commonly referred to as…astrology!

I AM including an article here by Carl Boudreau, and eminent astrologer who gives me a sense of ease with his srticle I have included below. Yes…the astrological signs point to rapid change of our world, but more importantly…in us! But, astrological signs (well explained by Boudreaus) inidcate this change is not without our growing realization of who we are.

Isn’t it nice to witness many ideas and pieces of information coming together like the various planes of a faceted diamond to cause the Earth, with human inhabitants, shine from the Light (truth)? Please read this astrological essay from Carl Boudreau, consider how you are reacting to change in your workd, and…

Injoy!

On this day when Mercury turns retrograde to travel backwards (from our point of view) for the next three weeks β€” while continuingΒ to square (90Β°) Neptune, thus amplifyingΒ and intensifying the subtle confusion, disorientation, and boundary dissolution that Neptune, during these many years (2012-2025) when it slogsΒ through its home sign of Pisces, guarantees β€” we, of course, continue to be surprised by seemingly endlessΒ shocks to the global system and to our personal, familial, tribal, and national boundaries and structuresΒ that theΒ Uranus/Pluto square (2012-2016)Β which, though its seven exact aspects are done, is itself, in terms of continued effects, by no means done! All these years, we’re being softened up for continuous transformation. And it does seem to be working!

Here’s astrologer Carl Boudreau, with a marvelous overview of this tumultuous, tsunami-riddled voyageΒ we all decided, as souls, to embark upon, by incarnating on this intensely alive MotherΒ Earth at this seemingly climactic point in her planetary, solar systemic, and galactic story.

β€œThe stuff of the outer world has been softened and supercharged, making it far more reactive and malleable and amenable to radical change. The stuff of human nature has also been softened and supercharged. It, too, is reactive and subject to sudden and radical transformation.”

Moreover, there’s good news. Read on, the whole thing β€” at least once, probably more! Especially during this Mercury Rx time (May 17- June 11). It might help to integrate all that you have been experiencing/thinking. Indeed, I dare you to NOT find resonance with immense ongoing struggles inΒ your own wild and beautiful life.

Why All the Intensity?

What is All This Intensity About

This post presents my understanding of why things are so intense on the psychological and spiritual fronts. I also suggest why we can expect continuing, gradual relief from this non-stop intensity.

Please Note: This post is to explain what has been happening, not to predict more of it, not to predict the worsening of a difficult situation. Quite the contrary. As I will explain below, help has already arrived.

Successive Waves of New, Unfamiliar Energy

Psychological and spiritual issues, both new and old, have been arising with unusual frequency and force. Some of these inner challenges are doubtless the result of energetic overload from a series of energetic tidal waves. These do seem to have served as a setup for spiritual and psychological crisis, though not, I think, as the direct cause of these crises.

Between 2008 and 2011, the three powerful outer planets all changed signs. Each ingress brought a wave of new and challenging energies.

These successive energetic bursts affected our inner state both directly and indirectly. Directly, by stimulating our subtle bodies and indirectly by triggering psychologically and spiritually challenging events in our lives and in the wider world.

Pluto Enters Capricorn – 2008

Pluto entered Capricorn in January 2008. Historically, Pluto’s transits of the Cancer/Capricorn axis release immense amounts of energy, more than you would realistically expect from a simple transit.

Pluto, for example, was in Capricorn during the American Revolution. It was in Cancer from just before World War I, until the beginning of World War II. That transit also coincided with the Russian Revolution, the rise of dictators like Hitler, Stalin and Mussolini and the rise of militarism and expansionism in Japan and The Great Depression.

Accordingly, Pluto’s 2008 Capricorn ingress coincided with a wave of strong shocks to the world’s social, economic and political systems that has not fully subsided. On the energetic level, the ingress barraged our nervous system and subtle bodies with a wave of raw, spiritual evolutionary power.

Uranus Enters Aries – 2010

Uranus entered Aries in 2010. This transit, powerful in its own right, was intensified by a lengthy Uranus/Pluto square. This square enlarged upon and extended the disruptive social, economic and political effects of Pluto in Capricorn. Energetically, inwardly, it brought another blast of raw – and difficult – psychologically and spiritually transformative power.

Neptune Enters Pisces – 2011

Neptune entered Pisces, its home sign, in 2011. Neptune in Pisces began dissolving the foundations of prevailing worldviews, adding more social, economic and political unrest. Energetically, its energies hit our subtle bodies with an influence guaranteed to soften and dissolve the spiritual and psychological foundations of our personality.

The End of the Mayan Calendar – 2012

An ancient prediction focused everyone’s attention on the winter solstice of 2012. In that chart, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto were linked by very exact midpoint contacts with Uranus.

This inclusive network of close midpoint contacts made all five of the outermost planets agents of Uranian energy. That, in turn, increased the breadth, scale and rate of change in the world. It also added to the overall volume of energy our subtle bodies had to process.

The Diamond Tetrahedron – 2013

On the morning of July of 2013 UT, a Star, or Diamond, Tetrahedron took shape in the heavens. In my opinion, such structures, although certainly important, are not particularly well-understood.

Suffice it to say, a massive, inclusive field of intricately coordinated astrological energies added to the quantity and complexity of energy already affecting individuals and the world.

Outwardly, it would dramatically facilitate social, economic and political transformation and probably render these changes unstoppable and completely irreversible. I believe it would function like a wormhole through history, moving us with unusual speed from one historical era to another, very different era, by rapidly accelerating the rate of change on all levels.

Inwardly, it would further accelerate an already dramatically accelerated process of psychological and spiritual transformation.

However you slice it, you don’t just go back to a previous status quo after such a series of astrological events. The world not only changes, it not only stays changed, it continues to change and as a direct result of these aspects. The energies and processes unleashed during such a time continue to flow and ripple through subsequent history.

The Usual Astrological Suspects

The big ingresses are done, now. There are no major anomalous events on the horizon. Major supportive aspects are taking effect (see last month’s statushttp://on.fb.me/1F4E786). The world shows signs of putting itself back together.

Meanwhile, Grand Squares, conjunctions, oppositions, eclipses and such continue. Regardless of their relative power, the over-reactive state of the world stuff amplifies their effects. But given the state of the world stuff, even minor squares can stir things up enough to give us all the jitters.

Future Shock – Abnormal is the New Normal

Given all of the above, given our new starting point, it will be a long while before we even begin to approach anything you would call β€œnormal.” And given the state of the world, it would be very hard to imagine what that new normal would look like when it finally arrives, except to say that it would be very different.

The stuff of the outer world has been softened and supercharged, making it far more reactive and malleable and amenable to radical change. The stuff of human nature has also been softened and supercharged. It, too, is reactive and subject to sudden and radical transformation.

I think it fair to say that we need to get out there and meet the challenges because they aren’t going way. And seize the opportunities. This is a get in on the ground floor situation. Don’t get left behind.

Clearly, this long series of energetic bursts was a setup for psychological and spiritual crisis. However, I think all of the above only partly explains the frequency and intensity of psychological and spiritual crises we are experiencing. But there is a grouping in Pisces that has a much more specific and direct causal relation to that issue, IMO.

Along Came Nessus – Nessus Enters Pisces

So, in my opinion, the trio in Pisces is at the root of the persistent intensity.

Chiron was already in Pisces when Neptune arrived. Nessus first entered Pisces in late May of 2014, which is when reports of spiritual and psychological crisis began pouring in.

Nessus re-entered Pisces for the full transit in February of 2015, which is when the intensity began picking up again. Neptune, Chiron and Nessus will all be together in Pisces until Chiron leaves in 2018.

With its natural effect on our spirituality and our worldviews, Neptune’s energy essentially targets our inner lives directly. Chiron and Nessus, for their part, are both known as drivers of spiritual evolutionary change.

They are also known for adding a painful edge to the process of change. Chiron is known to use illness and injury to overcome our resistance to needed change. Nessus is known for translating spiritual evolutionary lapses, especially moral lapses, into physical or psychosomatic illness. In the event, Chiron and Nessus would seriously compound each other’s effects.

Neptune, powerfully situated in its home sign, Pisces, liquefies toxic emotional sediments in the subtle bodies, releasing them into awareness, demanding they be dealt with. It also release painful things locked in the unconscious.

In so many words, Neptune dissolves the blocks that keep old traumas, guilt, shame, bitterness and anxiety locked in the unconscious. All of the things that block psychological and spiritual growth and, by the way, fuel the work of Chiron and Nessus, come into consciousness.

Vesta, faster moving that the other bodies in Neptune, also directly effects inner, spiritual and psychological conditions. For the sake of brevity, let’s just consider Vesta a transient intensifier of the processes governed by the other bodies in Pisces.

The Good News – Help is Already Here

As I hope I made clear, this post is to explain what has been happening, not to predict more of it, or the worsening of a difficult situation.

There really is a lot of good astrological news. But we want to avoid thinking that there will be a quick fix for the psychological and spiritual challenges we are facing.

The toxic contents of the unconscious accumulated over a rather long period of time. They will not be released all at once.

Once released, they will not be dissolved all at once. We will have to study up on and perfect the spiritual skills and techniques required to deal with them.

But there is good news. The same positive aspects now showing up in the heavens, and which are helping us put the material world back together, will facilitate the purging and healing processes being triggered by the bodies in Pisces.

These supportive aspects will help relieve psychological and spiritual discomfort by providing direct energetic support to our subtle bodies. They will also help with the outer challenges that add to stress levels and impede the changes required for healing.

As I reported previously, the Jupiter/Saturn/Uranus trine relationship, in effect until August, is providing synchronicity and positive traction. Saturn in Scorpio/Sagittarius, Pluto in Capricorn, Neptune in Pisces and Uranus in Aries are forming an added series of sextile and semi-sextile relationships.

This bracelet of positive aspects will be in effect for years into the future. It will augment the power of the fire sign trine while it is in effect. When Jupiter leaves Leo, the big fire sign trine will break up. However, Saturn and Uranus will remain in trine relationship and Jupiter will form a new trine with Pluto. All of these planets will continue to participate in the bracelet of sextiles, semi-sextiles and form new trines, also.

In effect, all of the outer planets, from Jupiter to Pluto are involved in supportive, protective, facilitating aspects and will remain so for years into the future. Please take a moment to stop and register that good news.

Spiritual and Psychological Relief, Too

Generally speaking, the bodies in Pisces will also participate in the benefits brought by these supportive aspects. We can renegotiate the terms of our contract with the world to benefit our healing process and make the changes our healing process requires.

More specifically, and more immediately, Venus is making a series of trines to the three bodies in Pisces.

Venus in Cancer trines Nessus in Pisces on May 10th.
Venus trines Neptune on May 16th.
Venus trines Chiron on May 27th.
Venus trines Vesta on June 4th.

As I said last time, these trines will allow us to harmonize our healing process with important relationships processes, our social life in general and our spiritual aspirations. On another, deeper level, we can coordinate our healing work with the profound psychological and spiritual processes governed by Cancer. As the months pass, other favorable aspects will further assist us in the healing process.

Carl Boudreau – Astrology for March 2015 ~ March 2, 2015

Astrology for March from CarlΒ Boudreau

by Starship Earth: The Big Picture

Sounds like we’d better strap ourselves in. This is on the dire side, actually. Maybe that’s why I needed a break yesterday. I started a few times to do a post but just didn’t feel like it. I was sick of reading about all the negative stuff and I find it best not to force creative ventures. Creativity and inspiration must flow freely to manifest a worthwhile product.

We didn’t get the heavy rains they predicted, but it’s been dark, gloomy and blustery with only a couple of very brief showers that barely wet everything—just enough to bring a ton of sand in on Mica’s feet. Thank goodness for a Swiffer.

I DO have a lot of things I want to share—and some of it’s fun! I feel like it’s time to elevate the energy as it’s felt very heavy of late.Β  It’s been like swimming through dark water… up and up and up… but not being able to take a breath or reach that bright light glittering and beckoning through the surface.Β

If Carl is right, a lot of blinders will fall away this month, and then maybe we can get somewhere—FASTER!Β  ~ BP

Astrology Status for February 28, 2015

Deceptive Astrological Coloration

Everyone has doubtless heard of essentially harmless and vulnerable animals who have evolved to resemble dangerous and well-protected animals. Or you will recall movies in which information revealed in the final scenes (The Sixth Sense) forces us to rethink the entire movie. Something like that is happening in March.

Some of March’s most noticeable aspects seem to justify negative expectations across a broad range of issues. On the face of it, the bad news in March can be made to seem really bad.

Seeming Cause for Grave Concern

There is an exact Uranus/Pluto square on March 16th. Uranus and Pluto will both be direct during the exact square. This strengthens and sharpens its explosive, disruptive potential.

The negative potential of this square is further aggravated by the effects of Mars conjunct Uranus and square Pluto. Both will be exact on the 11th, a few days before the Uranus/Pluto square on the 16th (New York Time).

This powerful and harsh set of aspects suggests a sharp peak in abrasive rhetoric, repressive politics, confrontation, and, brutal and violent aggression. Realistically, we do have to expect some disturbing events in March.

Political and economic pressures will come to a head. On the individual level, health and employment issues, domestic and legal issues will come to a head.

It seems to get even worse. There is a total solar eclipse on March 20th, the Vernal Equinox, and a total lunar eclipse on April 4th.

These eclipses can trigger long-pending disasters or release destructive pressure that has been building unnoticed in the background of structural integrity has been compromised over a period of time. That is why, for example, bridges suddenly collapse or pipes rupture.

It is indeed likely that lingering Uranus/Pluto issues will flare up one more time. They might also continue to simmer into the indefinite future. On the individual level, employment, health or domestic issues can reach crisis levels.

Finally, the fact that all of this is happening close to the the vernal equinox on the 20th raises the specter of a very difficult spring, indeed.

About Face

However, the fact that the upcoming Uranus/Pluto square is the last in a series of 7, changes expectations entirely. We have already absorbed the energy of 6 exact Uranus/Pluto squares.

So we have already absorbed and more or less neutralized the brunt of this aspect’s destructive and transformative power. The worst that the Uranus/Pluto square has to offer is now behind us.

We will still have to deal with the damage already done by the Uranus/Pluto square, certainly. However, negative Uranus/Pluto events will taper off sharply and existing Uranus/Pluto situations will stop getting worse. We can start the cleanup in earnest. And look unhindered to a better future.

Image result for eclipse imagesProtective Coloration

The Mars/Uranus conjunction and the Mars/Pluto square on the 11th will, indeed, make the last Uranus/Pluto square on the 16th seem worse than it is. Don’t be fooled.

The new Mars/Uranus/Pluto activity simply does not pack the wallop and does not have the staying power of the fading Uranus/Pluto square. The troubling and attention-grabbing Mars/Uranus/Pluto fireworks can disguise, or camouflage, the fact that a lengthy, difficult and much more powerful Uranus/Pluto influence is ending. In reality, all it will do is set up those still committed to a dark and negative outcome for a fall as we head toward two total eclipses in a row.

The eclipses are not the universally, uniformly dark omens some might think. Eclipses can bring important issues to a head, ending costly debate and controversy. They can bring answers to longstanding questions and do all of the above in our favor. Eclipses can also remove unrealistic possibilities from consideration, leaving us to devote our energies to more realistic options.

Eclipses might not always resolve issues to our complete satisfaction. But by closing out old business, eclipses create fresh starting points, allowing us to move forward less heavily encumbered by the past.

Reversing Course

Saturn is stationary retrograde on the 14th. This is, in many cases, a solid plus. Many legislative, legal and bureaucratic issues currently seem to be approaching finality. In many cases, the most likely seeming outcome is decidedly unsatisfactory.

This is especially concerning since final votes seem scheduled to coincide with the highly problematic, conflicting, deeply troubling aspects of mid-March.

These conflicting and largely negative aspects make it all the harder to marshal our forces and stop the momentum. The upcoming eclipses deepen the sense of uncertainty and foreboding surrounding these outcomes.

However, with Saturn stationary/retrograde, all of these problematic legislative, legal and bureaucratic proceedings will grind to a halt unresolved and the issues will, of a sudden, be open to review. Their seemingly unstoppable momentum toward an unsatisfactory outcome will stall out and its once certain outcome Β called into question. Going into March, we could be looking at defeat. Going into April, we could be looking at victory, or at least an agreeable compromise.

The Eclipses Themselves

To get some sense of where this potentially very confusing mix of conflicting forces will take us, I cast a composite chart for the two total eclipses.

The power and negative potential of March’s aspects are apparent in the composite chart. However, you have to look closely to see them because the squares are concealed behind multiple, overlapping trines, including one loosely formed grand trine.

Image result for uranus pluto imagesNetting it All Out

Recently, I have been reporting on signs of a major energetic shift. For a long time, hard aspects in cardinal signs have dominated the charts. I’m thinking of the Uranus/Pluto Square in Aries and Capricorn and before that the Saturn/Pluto/Uranus T-Square in Libra, Capricorn and Aries. Very difficult stuff.

We are now entering a period dominated by a much more forgiving mix of hard aspects in mutable signs (Saturn in Sagittarius square Neptune in Pisces) and a fire sign trine (Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus in Leo, Sagittarius and Aries respectively).

Also, we are moving from an energetic set up that favored aggressive, disruptive, outer-directed action based on rigidly held views. We are now moving into an energetic set up that favors the kind of inner changes and soul searching that can fundamentally change the social, economic and political dynamic.

To me, the choice in March is simple. We can mistake the transient social, economic and political fireworks supported by Mars/Uranus/Pluto aspects for something much more serious than it actually is and completely overlook the passing out of the Uranus/Pluto square influence. Or we can look more closely at what is actually happening and see the dawning of different and much better times.

Do not allow a few admittedly hard and potentially destructive aspects convince you to abandon hope or to drop your plans for the future.

time clock

Welcome to 2015!Β  As we currently navigate the dangerous waters of life on Planet Earth may peace, prosperity, and eternal love and joy find all of us in 2015! πŸ™‚

Do you keep up with the stars? It makes sense to me that since our bodies consist mostly of water, as well as the electrical currents that are conducted superbly by water, that the position of the planets and stars will indeed have an influence on life on Planet Earth. I found this article on Starship Earth: The Big Picture…and who better to advise us of celestial influences than Carl Boudreau who has been making monthly astrological forecasts available for quite a while.

Carl’s forecast for the year of 2015 seems spot on for me as her indicates this year to be one of internal and external “shakeups” as truth is revealed. I say…bring it on! Let the truth (Light) be revealed, hopefully without physical catastrophe! Even if you don’t really “get” into astrology, I believe it’s always wise to stay informed!

So…please read Carl’s annual forecasts, see what you think about Carl’s annual forecast, and…

Enjoy!

Astrology Status for December 31, 2014 – Happy New Year, Sort Of

Neptune, Nessus and Chiron in Pisces
Nessus, Chiron and Neptune have been traveling the Zodiac together for the better part of the last ten years. Neptune and Chiron have been together in Pisces since February of 2011. Nessus first entered Pisces in April of 2014 and remained there until it retrograded into Aquarius in August.

Nessus’s initial foray into Pisces coincided with several of the most difficult months, psychologically and spiritually, in recent memory. http://on.fb.me/1K34rB5 Social, political and economic conditions showed improvement, but our personal lives came under great pressure.

In February 2015, Nessus will complete its transition into Pisces, joining Neptune and Chiron for the full transit. They will all remain together in Pisces until 2018 when Chiron enters Aries. The force of this grouping will be accentuated by squares from Saturn.

We are dealing here with a rare and unusually intense dose of difficult and unfamiliar energy. In a sense, we are being blind-sided.

To the best of my knowledge, these three bodies have not been together in Pisces since at least 650 A.D., probably a lot longer, and more than a thousand years before any of these bodies were discovered. ( 650 A.D. is the earliest date for which data on Chiron are available.) It will not happen again until about 2502 and for only a comparatively brief stretch. Saturn will be in Cancer.

Indeed, it is rare to find these bodies together in a single sign at all, especially with a difficult aspect from Saturn. In all those centuries between 650 A.D. and now, Neptune, Nessus and Pisces were together in the same sign once, in Sagittarius, in 665 A.D. Saturn was in Capricorn.

On the macro level, this triple transit of Pisces could bring a significantly higher than normal incidence of natural and man-made disasters, including instances of violence and hardship. The energies will all but certainly manifest negatively on the individual level.

However, on both the collective and individual levels we are likely to benefit somewhat from the immunity conferred on us by Nessus’s temporary stay in Pisces last summer. Many of us got to grips with the energies of Neptune, Nessus and Chiron in Pisces then. By all accounts, it was rough. Hopefully, some of those lessons stuck.
A Time of Psychological and Spiritual Crisis

Chiron wields the power to forcibly break down our ego’s resistance to psychological, spiritual and moral growth. Chiron often precipitates spiritual crises.

On the individual level, Chiron often works through emotional or physical injuries, which are often, but not always, karmic in nature. Chiron will cause sudden, surprising accidents that bring with them sudden, surprising realizations, or expansions of mental and emotional boundaries. On the macro-level, Chiron can work through natural and man-made disasters.

Working together, Chiron and Neptune will expose hidden injuries and incomplete healing. Neptune dissolves the veils of unconsciousness that hide unhealed injuries and unresolved issues. This energy will almost certainly manifest at crisis levels in some cases.

Resistance Isn’t Futile

Nessus governs our ability to resist negative, destructive emotions – our own or those of others. It governs, for example, our ability resist the desire for payback, or revenge, individually or as part of a group. Nessus also governs our ability to resist pressure to do wrong or to remain silent while others do wrong. Nessus is about retaining our moral independence. I strongly suspect that bad Nessus energies play a role in discrimination and the persecution of minorities.

On the individual level, Nessus works by translating guilt we incur by compromising our moral principles into chronic physical or psychosomatic illness. Nessus, builds strength of character over time. It teaches us to maintain a positive, patient, compassionate attitude toward ourselves and others – to do and say the right thing – despite our own discomfort. Long term.On the macro-level, Nessus will teach us to resist war hysteria, for example, as well as racism, sexism and other forms of discrimination. I am not sure how Nessus achieves its effects on the macro-level. It probably isn’t pleasant.Neptune and Nessus in combination will penetrate and dissolve the veils that conceal moral weakness and β€˜motivate’ us to overcome those weaknesses on both an individual and a collective level.

Β

Neptune, Nessus and Chiron and Saturn to Boot

None of these bodies will conjoin the others while they are all in Pisces (good news!). However, their difficult influence will be intensified by Saturn’s broad square to Pisces from Sagittarius. The Saturn square will be exact on the dates below (UT is used throughout):
~ Saturn in Sagittarius Squares Nessus in Pisces: May 2, 2015 and Sept. 26, 2015.

~ Saturn in Sagittarius Squares Neptune in Pisces: Nov. 26, 2015, Jun. 18, 2016 and Sept. 10, 2016.

~ Saturn in Sagittarius Squares Chiron in Pisces: Dec. 28, 2016, Apr. 30, 2017 and Nov. 2, 2017.

Saturn leaves Sagittarius for the full transit of Capricorn in December 2017. The troublesome trio will remain behind together in Pisces until 2018 when Chiron enters Aries.

Β

Nothing Is Hidden That Will Not Be Released

Many of the negative patterns in our lives and in world events are the result of negative patterns imbedded and preserved in our individual ego or in our collective unconscious, or both. As long as those patterns remain essentially unchanged in our unconscious, social, political and economic reform can only go so far. Our ego, or the mass mind, will block reform and progress, trying to keep its embarrassing secrets hidden, its pain buried and its illusory comfort and imaginary security assured.

Neptune, Nessus and Chiron in Pisces, with an assist from Saturn in Sagittarius, will help us overcome and overpower the ego’s resistance to the removal of these defective patterns. In that way, these planets will dramatically increase the scope and pace of social, economic and political reform.

Not Every Bad Thing is the Result of Bad Personal Karma

I want to avoid the implication that all negative experiences triggered by these transits are the result of personal bad karma. The aspects I discussed above should not be understood in terms of “punishment,” “judgment” or “retribution.”
Even the very wise have difficulty understanding what is the result of karma and what is the result of random, impersonal and unavoidable circumstance. Often they are the result of sacrifices made in the interests of spiritual evolutionary progress.
The Broader, Positive Astrological Context

We need to be mindful, too, that, despite the releases triggered by this influence, we will be experiencing the power of the positive synchronicity of Saturn’s Sagittarius transit in our lives. http://on.fb.me/1K34CMS

While we are enduring what might turn into a marathon release of psychological and spiritual negativity, we will probably not have to worry also about global economic and political collapse.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

I wanted to get a word or two out on October’s eclipses before they started happening.

Eclipses get a bad rap. They are most commonly associated with disasters. They are seldom if ever associated with good things, and wrongly so.

Basically, eclipses bring things to fruition or stabilize affairs at a new level. A longstanding issue of any kind will likely go critical or reach an important turning point. The eclipses will reward those who have done the work with greater prosperity and stability. And vice versa.

It could be a process of decay, like the rusting of neglected steelwork on a bridge. The eclipse would mark the moment of collapse. If we had been maintaining the steelwork, the eclipse would have come and gone without incident.

Eclipses famously bring high visibility natural and man made disasters, too: earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, big storms, Β violence, economic turbulence political unrest and worse. They bring the downfall or death of the famous and powerful. But they will also reward up and coming talent with a day in the Sun.

The Context of October’s Eclipses

October’s eclipses come as several important, interwoven trends play out.

We are emerging from a time of serous material hardship and uncertainty. We are experiencing deep, transformation on a psychological and spiritual level. Our impatience with political and economic injustice and the lies that support it grows more acute daily.

The political and economic turmoil is abating but we cannot achieve stability or security. Painful, long buried wounds are rising to awareness needing to be addressed. The pain undermines our ability to function. Our truth keeps losing ground against the deceptions that perpetuate economic and political injustice.

We have yet to gain sufficient traction against any of the issues we are dealing with. As of now, the trends still seem to be working against us. October’s eclipses will remedy that.

What Effect Are October’s Eclipses Likely to Have?

We can count on eclipses to do several things generally.

~ They reveal unrealistic options for what they are. Barriers suddenly appear where none were apparent. Barriers to other, more realistic and promising options drop away.

~ Penalties will be exacted for wrong actions that used to go unnoticed or unopposed. Rewards will be granted for those who have done the right and timely thing all along. Those who change their ways in time will get by.

~ Eclipses exact a price for things left undone but reward those who have done the work.

~ In essence, eclipses pick winners and losers. Before the eclipses, rain falls equally upon the just and the unjust. After the eclipses, rain falls much more heavily on the unjust.

More Specifically

In the current energetic environment, then, we would see the following results

Those making earnest, well-advised and realistic efforts to right their economic situation will find themselves on more solid financial ground. Those pursuing half-hearted, unrealistic or ill-advised plans will be compelled to change course.

Those working through their personal issues honestly and sincerely will find their mental and emotional equilibrium returning. Those resorting to denial, avoidance or psychological gimmicks will find their condition worsening.

Those who speak their truth in the face of lies will find their fortunes improving. Those relying on lies and untruths will rapidly lose ground.

Two Out of Three Ain’t Bad

But eclipses are not all or nothing. I have outlined three major areas of concern: Economic recovery, personal transformation and speaking the truth.

People might succeed in all three areas. They might fail in all three. They might get one or two out of three right. Hence, effects of these eclipses will be different in different areas of a given life, depending on the quality of effort in each area.

Because these eclipses occur at such a complex juncture in our lives, their effects will be unusually complex, varied and unpredictable.

A Much Bigger Difference Than Eclipses Usually Make

The nature of October’s chart (http://on.fb.me/1vB371l) suggests that numberless turning points in the lives of countless people will add up to a bigger, less predictable and more rapid shift than one normally expects from eclipses. Forget about controlling it.

October’s composite has 0ΒΊ degrees of a cardinal sign on each major angle, supercharging the chart. There is a continuing series of oppositions to retrograde Uranus providing a great deal of sharply disruptive energy. Mercury retrograde most of the month will bring lots of decisions, revisions and second-guessing.

A Matter of Faith, Too

From one perspective, then, these two eclipses are frosting on the cake of a month that was going to be chaotic anyway you sliced it.

But remember, for all the chaos, the wildly shifting, criss-crossing and intersecting lines of causality, the oscillating trend lines, the high visibility negative events, countless millions of positive changes will be occurring. For each disconnect and dead end, countless more connections will be made and an equally large number of new pathways will open up. The effects will range from the deeply spiritual and inner, psychological change, to very concrete, external, material change.

The confusion will be great, too, though. (Remember that retrograde Mercury.) So we will be forced to take a lot of things on faith. Those who allow pessimism to dictate their choices or who demand absolute certainty before choosing will lose out.

Don’t count on knowing exactly what is going on. We will have to trust the process.

With respect to our individual lives, I think it will be as if someone snatched the carefully drawn flow chart of your life, ripped it into tiny bits and tossed it into an industrial grade fan.
