Ready for more pertinent information about “the straw that broke the camel’s back”? I’ve found this article on Starship Earth: The Big Picture that you might be interested in seeing.
Is Russia an enemy of the USA? Well…maybe for the current USA gov’t, but not for you and me on the street. Is Putin a “bad” guy? You may want to see the video, or read the included text, in order to make that decision.
Personally, I think Putin holds the space he is in for spiritual reasons. I AM not saying I have direct knowledge, because I don’t, but Putin is calling out the planet’s cabal AND taking cautious steps in avoiding a nuclear nightmare for planet Earth! That’s positive news, folks, and you can access his message about that here.
So…see this video, perhaps re-align your thoughts about Putin as a positive domino, and…
InJoy!
Once again Putin has nailed the global situation and given a brilliant speech as he did last year in Valdai, telling it like it is and exposing the absurdity of the New World Orderβs claims about Russiaβs intent.
Itβs about conquest. This is exactly it, of course, while many do not recognize it as suchβparticularly Americans. Without control of the mainstream media there is little hope of exposing the truth of it on these shores, and the network traitors are too busy distracting everyone with the (S)election dirt, Standing Rock, Zika, Halloweβen, holiday shopping, βnewβ space discoveries, etc.Β
Quote from Putin:
OfΒ course, it can be aΒ pleasing andΒ even profitable task toΒ portray oneself asΒ theΒ defender ofΒ civilisation against theΒ new barbarians. TheΒ only thing is that Russia has no intention ofΒ attacking anyone. This is all quite absurd. IΒ also read analytical materials, those written byΒ you here today, andΒ byΒ your colleagues inΒ theΒ USA andΒ Europe.
It is unthinkable, foolish andΒ completely unrealistic. Europe alone has 300 million people. All ofΒ theΒ NATO members together with theΒ USA have aΒ total population ofΒ 600 million, probably. But Russia has only 146 million. It is simply absurd toΒ even conceive such thoughts. AndΒ yet they use these ideas inΒ pursuit ofΒ their political aims.
You may read extra notes from the meeting at the website below, and itβs all worthwhile, but will need to scroll down a little to get to Putinβs address. The video is at the link below as well.
I have seen Putin welcome questions and comments from an audience. He is fair, open, has a sharp wit and displays much humility. Is he the βold Putinβ or a walk-in? I donβt know, but I like it.
If only we had statesmen like this in the West. Perhaps Trudeau has potential. Iβm hoping.Β ~ BP

President ofΒ Russia Vladimir Putin: Tarja, Heinz, Thabo, colleagues, ladies andΒ gentlemen,
It is aΒ great pleasure toΒ see you again. IΒ want toΒ start byΒ thanking all ofΒ theΒ participants inΒ theΒ Valdai International Discussion Club, from Russia andΒ abroad, forΒ your constructive part inΒ this work, andΒ IΒ want toΒ thank our distinguished guests forΒ their readiness toΒ take part inΒ this open discussion.
Our esteemed moderator just wished me aΒ good departure into retirement, andΒ IΒ wish myself theΒ same when theΒ time comes. This is theΒ right approach andΒ theΒ thing toΒ do. But IΒ am not retired yet andΒ am forΒ now theΒ leader ofΒ this big country. AsΒ such, it is fitting toΒ show restraint andΒ avoid displays ofΒ excessive aggressiveness. IΒ do not think that this is myΒ style inΒ any case.
But IΒ do think that we should be frank with each other, particularly here inΒ this gathering. IΒ think we should hold candid, open discussions, otherwise our dialogue makes no sense andΒ would be insipid andΒ without theΒ slightest interest.
IΒ think that this style ofΒ discussion is extremely needed today given theΒ great changes taking place inΒ theΒ world. TheΒ theme forΒ our meeting this year, TheΒ Future inΒ Progress: Shaping theΒ World ofΒ Tomorrow, is very topical.
Last year, theΒ Valdai forum participants discussed theΒ problems with theΒ current world order. Unfortunately, little has changed forΒ theΒ better over these last months. Indeed, it would be more honest toΒ say that nothing has changed.
TheΒ tensions engendered byΒ shifts inΒ distribution ofΒ economic andΒ political influence continue toΒ grow. Mutual distrust creates aΒ burden that narrows our possibilities forΒ finding effective responses toΒ theΒ real threats andΒ challenges facing theΒ world today. Essentially, theΒ entire globalisation project is inΒ crisis today andΒ inΒ Europe, asΒ we know well, we hear voices now saying that multiculturalism has failed.
IΒ think this situation is inΒ many respects theΒ result ofΒ mistaken, hasty andΒ toΒ some extent over-confident choices made byΒ some countriesβ elites aΒ quarter-of-a-century ago. Back then, inΒ theΒ late 1980s-early 1990s, there was aΒ chance not just toΒ accelerate theΒ globalisation process but also toΒ give it aΒ different quality andΒ make it more harmonious andΒ sustainable inΒ nature.
But some countries that saw themselves asΒ victors inΒ theΒ Cold War, not just saw themselves this way but said it openly, took theΒ course ofΒ simply reshaping theΒ global political andΒ economic order toΒ fit their own interests.
InΒ their euphoria, they essentially abandoned substantive andΒ equal dialogue with other actors inΒ international life, chose not toΒ improve orΒ create universal institutions, andΒ attempted instead toΒ bring theΒ entire world under theΒ spread ofΒ their own organisations, norms andΒ rules. They chose theΒ road ofΒ globalisation andΒ security forΒ their own beloved selves, forΒ theΒ select few, andΒ not forΒ all. But far from everyone was ready toΒ agree with this.
We may asΒ well be frank here, asΒ we know full well that many did not agree with what was happening, but some were unable byΒ then toΒ respond, andΒ others were not yet ready toΒ respond. TheΒ result though is that theΒ system ofΒ international relations is inΒ aΒ feverish state andΒ theΒ global economy cannot extricate itself from systemic crisis. AtΒ theΒ same time, rules andΒ principles, inΒ theΒ economy andΒ inΒ politics, are constantly being distorted andΒ we often see what only yesterday was taken asΒ aΒ truth andΒ raised toΒ dogma status reversed completely.
If theΒ powers that be today find some standard orΒ norm toΒ their advantage, they force everyone else toΒ comply. But if tomorrow these same standards get inΒ their way, they are swift toΒ throw them inΒ theΒ bin, declare them obsolete, andΒ set orΒ try toΒ set new rules.
Thus, we saw theΒ decisions toΒ launch airstrikes inΒ theΒ centre ofΒ Europe, against Belgrade, andΒ then came Iraq, andΒ then Libya. TheΒ operations inΒ Afghanistan also started without theΒ corresponding decision from theΒ United Nations Security Council. InΒ their desire toΒ shift theΒ strategic balance inΒ their favour these countries broke apart theΒ international legal framework that prohibited deployment ofΒ new missile defence systems. They created andΒ armed terrorist groups, whose cruel actions have sent millions ofΒ civilians into flight, made millions ofΒ displaced persons andΒ immigrants, andΒ plunged entire regions into chaos.
We see how free trade is being sacrificed andΒ countries use sanctions asΒ aΒ means ofΒ political pressure, bypass theΒ World Trade Organisation andΒ attempt toΒ establish closed economic alliances with strict rules andΒ barriers, inΒ which theΒ main beneficiaries are their own transnational corporations. AndΒ we know this is happening. They see that they cannot resolve all ofΒ theΒ problems within theΒ WTO framework andΒ so think, why not throw theΒ rules andΒ theΒ organisation itself aside andΒ build aΒ new one instead. This illustrates what IΒ just said.
AtΒ theΒ same time, some ofΒ our partners demonstrate no desire toΒ resolve theΒ real international problems inΒ theΒ world today. InΒ organisations such asΒ NATO, forΒ example, established during theΒ Cold War andΒ clearly out ofΒ date today, despite all theΒ talk about theΒ need toΒ adapt toΒ theΒ new reality, no real adaptation takes place. We see constant attempts toΒ turn theΒ OSCE, aΒ crucial mechanism forΒ ensuring common European andΒ also trans-Atlantic security, into anΒ instrument inΒ theΒ service ofΒ someoneβs foreign policy interests. TheΒ result is that this very important organisation has been hollowed out.
But they continue toΒ churn out threats, imaginary andΒ mythical threats such asΒ theΒ βRussian military threatβ. This is aΒ profitable business that can be used toΒ pump new money into defence budgets atΒ home, get allies toΒ bend toΒ aΒ single superpowerβs interests, expand NATO andΒ bring its infrastructure, military units andΒ arms closer toΒ our borders.
Another mythical andΒ imaginary problem is what IΒ can only call theΒ hysteria theΒ USA has whipped up over supposed Russian meddling inΒ theΒ American presidential election. TheΒ United States has plenty ofΒ genuinely urgent problems, it would seem, from theΒ colossal public debt toΒ theΒ increase inΒ firearms violence andΒ cases ofΒ arbitrary action byΒ theΒ police.
You would think that theΒ election debates would concentrate onΒ these andΒ other unresolved problems, but theΒ elite has nothing with which toΒ reassure society, it seems, andΒ therefore attempt toΒ distract public attention byΒ pointing instead toΒ supposed Russian hackers, spies, agents ofΒ influence andΒ so forth.
IΒ have toΒ ask myself andΒ ask you too: Does anyone seriously imagine that Russia can somehow influence theΒ American peopleβs choice? America is not some kind ofΒ βbanana republicβ, after all, but is aΒ great power. Do correct me if IΒ am wrong.
