Happy Thanksgiving to the Canadian crew. There has been snow already in some areas north of the 49th, so the pumpkins and spy apples should be ready soon. Despite it being 80+ here in the valley of the sun, when October hits I always crave pumpkin pie, apple crisp, bonfires and coloured leaves due to decades of conditioning and pleasant Canadian memories. South of the border there is much hoopla over the Judge Kavanaugh confirmation and a “fall” of a different sort. I listened to a little of the senators’ remarks prior to the confirmation vote this morning. So much disagreement.

I must say that I don’t believe the President’s decision to make fun of Christine Blasey-Ford’s testimony at a recent rally was a good idea. He’s probably fed up, like most of us. There is a lot of bad blood due to the disgusting display of corruption, manipulation, and hate during the hearings and a pall will probably hang over Washington for some time to come.

It looks like Brett Kavanaugh is the man, however there are those who don’t believe Kavanaugh is an ideal choice.
