Standing Up for Justice; Need for the Divine Feminine ~ June 11, 2020

We knew going into 2020 that it would be different and mark a new beginning. There was a kind of cautious excitement in the air as we began the new decade. We had lots of signs that the status quo was crumbling and that there would be a number of reckonings addressing our world’s dysfunction. Then came Covid-19, and now massive protests over racism and inequality. Both of these issues could be fundamental game-changers for our society. Continue reading for a higher view of where we are and how to stay calm when our world seems turned upside down.

Background

Firstly, consider the link between Covid-19 and racism. Both have a virus-type energy that stirs fear, uncertainty, and reminders of past historical experiences.

Viruses have been a natural part of Earth’s life stream. Scientists believe viruses played a key role in evolution of many species, including our own. Some viruses, when we’re exposed to them, can make us sick or cause us to die. Others are asymptomatic. Because there’s so much we don’t yet understand about viruses and the potentially-deadly kinds like Covid-19, there’s uncertainty associated with a Covid-19 pandemic.

Racism, which we’ve had in a systemic way throughout history, is not natural to humans – it’s a conditional adaptation. It’s based on fear, control, and the ego-need to have power over others in a hierarchical and patriarchal way. These roots go so deep that they are invisible until one begins investigating the “why.”

Humans were conditioned to have racist tendencies, over thousands of years.

In our natural state – before conditioning – we are social beings that gravitate towards building community with one another and helping each other. This is wired into our core at a DNA level. That’s who we are.

Fast Forward to Now

When we were born into this life, we didn’t pack a suitcase with reminders of our previous lifetimes or those of our ancestors. Our conscious mind operated like this life was the start of our existence.

Some of you may remember as a child having flashbacks or dreams of another time and place. However, usually that “past archive” is experienced only briefly and without tangible connection to the current life. We simply don’t connect the dots, except perhaps later in life when we’re doing a past life regression or DNA healing work. Then, in those instances, what comes up in our awareness is pertinent to something specific happening in our current life.

What We Forget

In our amnesia after birth, we forget that we have had countless lifetimes on this and other worlds. If we are born female, we don’t remember what it was like to be male. If we were born white, we don’t remember what it was like to be black or brown. If we were born privileged enough to be fed and clothed daily – having our basic needs taken care of, we don’t remember our lifetimes of poverty, starvation, oppression, racism, slavery, and other forms of bondage. If we were born into a life of subservience to others who misused power to dominate, we don’t remember our lifetimes when we did the same thing.

When I do DNA healing work for clients, we access this past history on a need-to-know basis. Depending on what issues are arising, for example, it may help to release traumas and clear prejudice by focusing on past experiences that are influencing the present. Sometimes a person says the mere sight of a protest march over racism makes his or her skin crawl. Others tell me they have a visceral response to seeing a video of a woman tearfully sharing how her 16-year-old black son died at the hands of police.

What We Need to Remember

What we need to remember in these times is who we really are and what comes natural to us. At a core level, each of us regardless of gender has a divine feminine and a divine masculine. We have this even if we are not conscious of it. As we evolve and become whole, we balance our male and female and each is elevated out of ego and into divine expression.

When I say “we” I mean ALL of us. That includes everyone from the policeman, the mayor, the corporate president, and the country leader.

It includes the looter, the paid agitator, and the arsonist. All of these individuals, regardless of how they appear to us now, are playing their part in the awakening of humanity. Therefore, we must strive to transform our anger towards them into forgiveness and empathy.

What’s Here – What’s Coming

In the past several years as more of humanity began awakening, there’s been a rise in energies associated with the divine feminine. This is all around us now, despite how chaotic and divided our world feels. Peoples’ hearts are opening, and there’s more listening taking place. Listening and receptivity are feminine qualities. We need more of this, but let’s acknowledge the progress we’ve made already. Some is showing up in the protest marches described below.

Need for the Divine Feminine

One thing that struck me during recent marches for justice was the presence of divine feminine energy. This energy, embodied by beings like Kuan Yin, is compassionate, merciful, courageous, and loving. To be sure, there was plenty of anger and grief present, yet an energy of caring also began surfacing.

I witnessed a groundswell of this energy – not only between protestors but even from some police marching with protestors. Some police took a knee with protestors.

This happened in several cities, including my town Santa Monica. Compassion was expressed by listening and being willing to walk side-by-side with others.

Need for Solidarity

What we need now is solidarity – a coming together of the human race to resolve issues that keep us in the dark ages and threaten our ability to have a sustainable planet. When only the privileged are free from discrimination and poverty, the majority have no real voice.

It will take unity across the world to resolve climate and other sustainability issues. What we have right now is a top-down model – fueled by greed and ego-power. Those in power destroy what does not serve their agenda. There is no long-range view to consider 50, 100, or 1,000 years from now.

Most of us deeply care about our planet and all life forms here. We care about each other. We care about the needless pain and suffering of others who are harmed by systemic racism and other forms of oppression. We care about this even if this never happened to us in this lifetime.

When humanity’s darkness comes to light, we naturally take notice and care about oppression we see. This has always been the case, yet now is different.

Remember that the 2020s are not “normal” times – we’re in a massive unveiling of society’s shadow. Some things long a part of our culture are now coming to light in an expanded way. The spotlight on them, in fact, is so bright that we cannot look away. This is a natural aspect of our world’s mega transformation.

It’s not about politics. If it feels like that to you or to your friends, consider what I wrote this week on my ‘Selacia, The Council of 12’ page:

“Standing up to oppression and racism is a moral and humane choice. It’s not about politics. We humans all carry this scar within us, because of our shared conditioning over thousands of years. Walk gently with your brothers and sisters. Be the light to each other so we together can transform out of our darkness.”

Remedies to Stay Calm

It’s understandable that there would be tensions in the air. We’ve been isolating for weeks, we feel uncertainty about a growing list of things, and then since the police killing of George Floyd there’s been nonstop media coverage of citizen protests and examples of police brutality. And all of this during some of the most tumultuous planetary energies of our lifetimes.

To stay calm with all of this going on is no simple matter. However we can do it, and we must do it, in order to be effective change agents for a more loving world. This is no time to sit on the sidelines and let others respond. We’re in the 2020s now, and that means active engagement and staying present to both the big picture and happenstance details so we can constructively help ourselves and others.

We hold in our hands and hearts the seeds of a more loving world. Discouraged by injustice towards minorities and angry about what we witnessed in Minneapolis? It’s natural to feel sad and angry, and to desire change. Let’s personally work with our anger, facing it and processing it – so it doesn’t impair our judgement and get acted out in harmful ways. Let’s actively use our voices for positive change. Let’s reach for the love naturally within us, applying that love over the coming days to do our part in creating a more loving world. We can do this.

Find Your Center; Stay in Your Heart During Intensity ~ February 14, 2019

By: Selacia

~~~~~~~
We knew before 2019 started that life would intensity this year. Knowing things like this ahead is one thing – being able to sanely move through the ups-and-downs over weeks and months is another. For perspective, the intense moment we’re in right now is worthy of paying close attention to so that you can ride through it in the highest way. Continue reading to understand what might come up for you over the next few days as this energy plays out.
Tumultuous Planetary Moments
We live in tumultuous moments that necessitate regular energetic regrouping to stay centered and calm. Our outer world is in chaos. Planetary energies can feel like a roller coaster – especially with the current Mars/Uranus conjunction in Aries underway. These planetary energies are not only intense but emotionally charged.
This particular cycle can be more potent – and challenging – than some others we’ve experienced. With understanding and foresight we can weather the emotional storm with little fallout or re-dos. If we become unconscious to these energies, it’s very possible our emotional responses could cause us to say or do some- thing we might regret.
Door That Won’t Open
One way these energies can make us feel is like being on the other side of a door that won’t open and having something important to say to a person on the other side of the door. The problem is we can’t open the door to communicate. The more that we can’t open the door, the more urgent it can feel to open it and say what we have to say.
Here are a few things you can do to override the ego tendency of pushing and insisting something must happen in one of these moments. Applying these tips can help you a lot this week.
Coping with Intensity
We’re sitting in intense energies now – some catalyzed by planetary forces and some a natural part of humanity’s awakening. Accept what is, acknowledging that this is part of living now. Rather than fighting what you encounter, work with it as part of your spiritual path.
I suggest taking more deep breaths, more walks outside, more time-outs from focusing on issues. To create your own inner sanctum of inner peace is among your optimal resources for walking through the fire of these times.
Meditate more often than you usually do. Stop the world more often than you usually do, too – looking out the window if you’re inside or gazing into the sky if you’re outside.
Another tool is working with time in a quantum way. Yes, some things seem urgent, especially to the ego mind caught in linear time. When you are behind that door that won’t open and you are enraged about not being able to open it to communicate immediately, your ego can push you in unwise ways. Your wise self operating in quantum, however, trusts in divine orchestration. It instinctively knows that a closed door doesn’t stay closed – all things in this world are temporary.
When you feel really stuck, go to your heart and do some deep breathing. Your heart knows truth. At your core you can be at peace – regardless of Mars/Uranus and the world’s chaos. Go to this place often not just when things become choppy, but as your spiritual resource for being in this physical world. Trust that you are okay and that you will be guided to your next best steps.
Mercury Retrograde Healing RX – Key Revelations & Breakthroughs Possible ~ November 15, 2018
By Selacia
In our last Mercury Retrograde of the year is a bonus you might not expect. Yes, we’ll have the usual sensation of slow down and interruptions of communications. However this particular retrograde can be a significant gift because of how it can catalyze life review and letting go of old energies. Think of this is a mega healing RX for the stuck places in your life and for shifting difficult relationships. Between November 16 and December 6, in fact, you could discover a whole new “you” that’s ready to be birthed just in time for 2019! Continue reading for examples and how to best work with these energies.
Mercury Retrograde Nov 16 to Dec 6
Firstly, 3-week Mercury Retrogrades are always an excellent opportunity to reflect on your status quo and where you want to be headed next. We’ve already had two of these cycles this year. This final one is actually the best time to get the clear picture you have wanted to have for months.
On an inner level, as you have moved through many outer world challenges and struggles, you have been building resilience and a quiet knowing that you have what’s needed to meet the next obstacles and unknowns. Your inner being, after all, knows that practice and persistence make all the difference.
This year you have had practice applying what you know and the ability to be persistent even when things kept getting crazier and crazier. To be here now, reading these words, trust that you indeed have succeeded with this. As I describe this, keep in mind quantum. If you measure success in a linear way, one misstep can be seen as failure. No one, not even enlightened beings, always fully apply what they know.
Secondly, I recommend approaching this Mercury Retrograde with new eyes and a fresh approach. To be sure, of course, you want to remember typical things like backing up your devices ahead of the retrograde. If you have an important message for someone or need to sign a contract, it’s usually best to do before or after a retrograde. That said, don’t be superstitious – there are always exceptions. Sometimes your car breaks down and you need to buy a new one. Also, if something important needs to be communicated – go with divine timing and let go of worry about it being the retrograde. These cycles aren’t nature’s way of punishing us – they are simply energy in motion. Understanding them – both the things that can be impacted so you can work around those, and the things that you could accomplish because of the retrograde – makes all the difference.
Thirdly, since this particular retrograde cycle can help catalyze deeper level secrets and forgotten life experiences, these 3 weeks can be especially helpful to personal transformation.
Example: a stale relationship could be revived – or even appropriately ended – due to intuitive insights you receive during the retrograde. The person may still be in your life, or you may have become distant. The same principle applies. I suggest using this retrograde time to do inner contemplation, meditation, and healing work that goes to deeper levels where hidden information lies.
I know from my 1-1 DNA healing work with others that oftentimes a person perplexed about a relationship will get insights about that person in between sessions. This can happen even before we directly address the issue. One way to describe how this happens is this: a person feels unsettled about a relationship, perhaps mentioning the name but then speaking about something else in the session. Afterwards, as the person is processing the healing energy of the session, they may suddenly have flashbacks about the difficult relationship – and get new insights that open the door to healing root causes.
Another example: a block about moving forward can sometimes cause a person to close down their energy – and with that their creative juices. Especially in these times of uncertainty and chaos, such a person could begin to feel so uninspired that they keep their feelings to themselves. They may get so depressed that they stop sharing with others – they may even stop their inner inquiry about why they feel so sad and blocked.
Here’s one thing I recommend in these cases. The simple act of sharing your difficult situation with someone else can catalyze just the additional insights you need to better understand things and move towards resolution. When you do this, it doesn’t mean that you are weak or that you are expecting the other person to “fix” what’s “wrong.” You do this to open your own heart to someone else, and to give him or her the opportunity to listen as your sounding board.
Deep listening to one another in these times is, in fact, one of the most important things for the healing of each other and our world. It’s a compassionate and caring way to show up and be with someone.
The person listening can be a friend, a trusted colleague, a family member, a therapist, a hairdresser, a body worker, or a healer. Sometimes it’s a stranger too. Yes, your pets can listen too, and provide abundant support, but what I’m suggesting here is the human element.
When we can learn to live together on Earth as the diverse group of humans we are – opening our hearts to one another and seeing each other as divine beings – we will have evolved beyond the tribal divisions surfacing now. We will have come home to ourselves, remembering our cosmic heritage and starry roots.
Time to Get Real – Putting Your Light Into Action ~ October 27, 2018
By Selacia
Right about now you may be wondering how much more intense and surprising life will get. We’ve been on a wild ride of both intensity and surprises. The last part of October is no exception. Still in Venus retrograde and currently influenced by a powerful full moon, relationships of all kinds are now taking center stage. Meeting a new partner, or improving a current relationship are two ways this energy can play out. Continue reading for insights on optimal use of these moments.
Questioning More Deeply
Ironically, when life becomes chaotic or simply exciting, we sometimes get so caught up in the chaos or excitement that we live on the surface rather than looking deeper.
  • Chaos example:a chaotic set of events can be energetically draining to the point that we may not make the effort to connect the dots between things.
  • New partner example:we could be out somewhere and meet someone who feels familiar in a good way, but for various reasons we may not follow up on the meeting.
In both of these examples, if we were more present and open, we likely would inquire within to know connections.
Looking more deeply at things is part of living in a quantum way. It really doesn’t take more “time” to question things beneath the surface. In fact, living this way saves you enormous amounts of time, pain, and suffering. Imagine that your soul mate was at that party you attended and you unconsciously dismissed the encounter and walked away. Who knows when or if you will meet him or her again this life.
A Numbing Out
One common response to our current intense and surprising energies is a numbing out. Other terms for it are tuning out, checking out, and turning down the volume of what’s coming in. Sound familiar?
Numbing out is quite different from becoming still and meditating. You can’t simultaneously check out and be present to the whispers of your soul. Turning down the volume of what’s coming in can be a useful filter for overload. Use your discernment and intuitive knowing, however, to know when you are shutting out too much. Balance in all things is the key.
To be sure, one reason for numbing out is the relentless deluge of news about the dysfunctional state of our world. Our global revolution in consciousness is messy and loud. Pretty much everything about our modern society needs reworking and balancing.
Mega Shift in Global Power
A mega shift in global power is underway. Out-of-date patriarchal structures are crumbling. At the end of the process, we won’t recognize our world. By then, we will have awakened to the divine within ourselves and to the divine in all beings. There will be no “other” to fear and control. We will have come full circle into the light.
What’s Needed Now
Meanwhile, while this process continues, it’s vital that we not lose patience. It’s important that we avoid numbing out. It’s imperative that we remain engaged with the process and play active roles. As divine changemakers we didn’t come here to sit on the sidelines and watch the parade pass by. We signed up for front-row – not sitting but standing and moving.
The light we hold must be expressed. Each of us will do this differently. That’s okay. We can find our own unique ways of expression – the key is to share our light to help humanity and the future of our sacred Earth.
Doing anything less than this puts us out of our integrity. We are not lightweights. We didn’t come here to complain about how long it’s taking or how hard it often can be to witness the hate and division we see.
Your Voice Matters
While it’s certain that we can’t change everything overnight, our energy and voices matter. Each of us counts in the larger picture. How do you see yourself in this picture?
Time to get real and put your energy into what you can change. Where will you put your energy today? How will you show up?
