September 28th 11:26 AM PT – New Moon at 5° of Libra Venus in Libra sextile Jupiter in Sagittarius, both at 17° The New Moon in Libra is an affirmation, an invitation, and a little revelation sent to lift our spirits and remind us of what’s possible under pressure. Arriving in the nick of time, this refresh occurs when life’s squeeze is a little tight, its grip a little unrelenting, and its tasks mounting in importance and numbers.

As the faster-moving planets (the Moon, Mercury, Venus, the Sun, and eventually Mars) move through Libra, they each make a square to Saturn in Capricorn. As they do, an issue or two is defined, outlined, and solidified. Astrology like this often signals something in our lives that feels like a roadblock, a no-go, no way, no how. Forcing us to tackle something differently than we have been, it’s no wonder if you’ve felt a little stalled, slowed, or lacking in luster or answers lately.

It’s not only you, it’s also them (gestures broadly at the sky).  Saturn asks us to commit to the work before the reward. Saturn asks us to know our fears more intimately so that we can figure out how to fool them. Saturn asks us to master the art of working with what is available. Creative ingenuity will always win over gluttony and greed when we are talking about authentic maturity and living a meaningful life. Saturn may make life feel like it’s withholding the goods from us, but it’s just asking that we work in a more efficient way. Something we wouldn’t do unless we were forced to most times. Saturn demands we take our tasks seriously and ourselves with a grain of salt. Heavy is the load that is weighed with ego. Better just to get to work on what we can.

As the planets plow past the ringed one they also sextile Jupiter, experiencing a moment of levity. A breath of fresh air. An inhale. An expansion. The day of the New Moon comes bearing the imprint of such an opening. The ruler of it, Venus, has just completed a square to Saturn and now makes a sweet and fortuitous sextile to Jupiter. From rags to riches, this moment asks us to appreciate the bonus we’re being gifted.

This aspect reminds us that shift happens, love needs protection in order to flourish, and when we set boundaries and channel our energy, we’re able to make the most of our luck. It’s an aspect that reminds us that beauty is always abundant but sometimes it needs to be sought. This New Moon is a moment that asks us to protect our optimism, make room for luck and love, and to leave the door ajar for even the slightest chance of an opportunity. And that is exactly what your affirmation horoscopes are meant to help you with. Think of them as an entry point for this New Moon and the astrology that follows. Think of them as encouragement from your guides. Think of them as a jumping-off point to working with what’s challenging as a means to get to the blessings at the center of it.

After sextiling Jupiter, the planets traveling through Libra make a square to Pluto, offering us the opportunity to lay an unhelpful pattern down. This New Moon is a pocket of energetic gold in the midst of some defining astrological action, but it’s demanding that we take part in our own alchemical processes if we want to get to it.

September 30th Venus in Libra square Pluto Rx in Capricorn, both at 20° From the sweetest sextile to Jupiter, to the rigorous work of excavating our demons with Pluto, Venus is presented with the awesome and the ugly within a matter of days. Here, Venus asks us to lay down the accessories that inhibit us from accessing our power.

Whatever trinkets we feel make us special have no power in Pluto’s underworld. This transit uncovers intimacy issues, our value, and worth, and the power dynamics that must be challenged, deconstructed and transformed in our lives and in the world. These are long-lasting changes that won’t be completed today but are part of a greater story that’s unfolding in your life and in our collective experience.

October 2nd  Pluto stations direct at 20°Capricorn It’s a Pluto-infused week. With the deity of depth presiding over these hearings, there is no telling the levels we are asked to go to.

Excavations of all kinds are a major theme now. Pulling things up from the root requires finesse. We have to learn when to tug and when to gently shake loose.  Go easy with these onions. One layer at a time is all that’s needed now.  Those with planets (or points) around 20° of Aries, Cancer, Libra, or Capricorn are going through in-depth investigations. Check the meaning of the planet (sun = essential self, Venus = love and relationships, etc.), the meaning of the house it is in, and the other house(s) it rules for clues on where and what is going through a long-lasting change.

October 3rd Mercury enters Scorpio Mercury will remain in Scorpio for a long time this year. Stationing retrograde on October 31st, Samhain is set up to be a trip. In Scorpio until November 10th, Mercury will want to talk about secrets, power, deeply embedded psychological issues, death, rebirth, and every horror it can get a hold of. Mostly making affirming aspects to other planets, however, this transit will be intense, but not as challenging as it could be. Mars enters Libra Here until November 20th, the Warrior is challenged to do its job in the sign of the peacekeeper.

As it navigates conflict right now, Mars may uncharacteristically second-guess its actions, feel demoted, or try to stifle issues that need to be dealt with. Headed towards a square to Saturn and Pluto, the first part of Mars through Libra signals yet another moment of needing to apply incredible determination to what we have chosen to do.

October 6th Mercury in Scorpio opposes Uranus Rx in Taurus, both at 5° The only challenging aspect that Mercury makes while in Scorpio is today. Startling news, unexpected conversations, and unpredictable but very inventive outcomes abound. Roll with the turbulence, it might just knock something else back into place – or into a better one.

October 7th Sun in Libra square Saturn in Capricorn, both at 14° The bi-annual bummer aspect. Saturn is a harsh critic of the Sun’s glow up. Saturn isn’t swayed by its theatrics. Saturn is the hard-line that cannot be negotiated. Today’s astrology is a moment to be faced, met with hard-work, sincere effort, and an ability to move through self-pity. No one is saying you don’t have the right to feel sorry for yourself, but staying there won’t get your work done. And most likely there is much to do right now. If you are reading this ahead of time, be forewarned and do not overbook your calendar.  Venus enters Scorpio Here until November 2nd, Venus in Scorpio is a lesson in joy and pain. Scorpio’s wells run deep. These intense feelings aren’t necessarily the easiest waters for Venus’s inflatable unicorn to remain rightside up in. Here, Venus will help us work through our more challenging emotions, encouraging us to connect with what’s far below the surface yet incredibly close to our hearts. Venus in Scorpio is often touted as “too much” but anyone who has been called this knows that only the bland and boring would think such a thing about the truth. Venus in Scorpio is the raw and real deal and wants nothing else.

October 12th Venus in Scorpio opposes Uranus Rx in Taurus, both at 5° Like Mercury, this is the only difficult aspect that Venus makes in Scorpio. The rest of the time it’s pretty smooth sailing. Here, relationship issues get a rude awakening. Inconsistencies break the bonds long enough for the truth to emerge. It’s a quick but loud transit that is sure to shake things up between you and yours.

Aries & Aries Rising Love is a risk. Love is sacrificing my pride. Love is the biggest threat to my ego and the greatest gift I can give myself.  Winning at love means wanting more for myself than merely getting what I want. Winning at love means wanting the kind of partners that I need and being rapidly disinterested in the ones that gaslight, disrespect, or devalue me.

Winning at love means wanting to grow more than wanting to be right. Winning at love means trusting that the process of partnering with the right people will make me better for having committed to them. With this New Moon, I recommit to protecting my heart, hopes, and energy from those relationships that only seek to keep the gifts flowing one way. I am here for reciprocity. I am here for renewal through mutual respect, affection, and accountability. I am here for good times and heavy ones if I am with those who are too. If this moment makes one thing clear, it is that no one but me can clean up the dynamics I am a part of for me. If I’m not honest with myself about what is and isn’t ok for me to do, agree to, or be a part of, I can’t advocate for the partnerships I need and deserve. Little is as life-saving as this information. I make it a top priority in my meditations.   Work more deeply with the New Moon in Libra with this month’s workshop – it has a reading, ritual, and guided meditation for you. Taurus & Taurus Rising If what I do daily isn’t infused with a little love, affection, and compassion, it hasn’t got the hydration needed to be long-lasting. If I don’t have rituals at work that remind me to remain a source of love and kindness for myself, my soul feels shriveled. If I don’t care for my work, it will wander around unloved and unclaimed, dry and dusty.  With this New Moon, I am committed to cleaning up my act. I prepare space for abundance to infuse my work and relationship to it, my love of what I do and why I do it, my care and consideration for the energy demanded of my mind, body, and soul in order to get it done.

I reclaim my professional projects from any pits of despair they may have fallen into. I make sure to witness the effort, skill, and determination I have applied to my work life and relationships. I make sure to strike a balance here; I do not disrespect my efforts nor am I delusional about what I still need to work on. If I want my work to command the respect I think it deserves, I have to respect the time, energy, and experience it takes to get there.  Work more deeply with the New Moon in Libra with this month’s workshop – it has a reading, ritual, and guided meditation for you. Gemini & Gemini Rising With this New Moon, I make space for my muses. I’m not afraid of blank pages, canvases, or business proposals. I know that to start from scratch is daunting, but I like the challenge. It’s a turn-on to have to try hard. Having to be patient prolongs the pleasure.  Anticipation is its own aphrodisiac. With this New Moon, I remember to romance my creative energy, projects, and fantasies. I want passion to run deep through all I make and give to the world. I want my desires to be a starting point, not a problem to shut out. I want to build the kind of containers that are strong enough to handle my energy unbridled.

I consent to let my muses show up whenever and however they want. I promise not to complain if they catch me in the shower, mid-sentence, or in the most inconvenient situations. I’ll stop whatever I’m doing for them, I am a dutiful servant to them. I am willing and wanting to be used by them and know my kinks will always be worked out by allowing myself the time and space to get to know them better. Cancer & Cancer Rising If love was missing, it’s my job to make sure it’s no longer left out. If care wasn’t in attendance, it’s my job to invite it in. If understanding was never part of the equation, it’s my job to add ample amounts in now. No matter what unfounded fears show up at my door, it’s my job to slam it shut. No matter the sorcery of sadness that tries to creep into my present from the past, it’s my job to break its spell. The survival strategies that I’ve had to develop over my lifetime are more than understandable, but they are no excuse for staying stuck in a pattern that keeps me resentful, fearful, or forgetful of my agency.

With this New Moon, I reclaim myself from my past. I recall my energy from every unnecessary entanglement. I reorient my energy towards getting to work on what I can. I know that to worry about what is out of my control is a waste of my time, talent, and energy. I am smarter than that. I am wiser than that. And if I fall prey to it, I snatch myself back from that.  Work more deeply with the New Moon in Libra with this month’s workshop – it has a reading, ritual, and guided meditation for you. Leo & Leo Rising Learning how to effectively communicate through conflict is an essential element of learning how to resolve it. Learning how to have difficult conversations is an essential skill for being a good partner. To myself. To my loves. To my entire life. Learning that conflict isn’t cause for flight helps me stay grounded in the reality that life requires that I deal with all aspects of it. Compassion for myself and others requires that I embrace the truth, not shy away from it.

With this New Moon, I send the messages that I most want to hear. I tell others the honest truth about how much they mean to me. I’m thoughtful and clear in my feedback. I’m generous and kind in my delivery.  I give my daily routines a little extra time and attention, amplifying the ones that help me feel refreshed, cute, and capable.  I keep clearing my calendar of all events that don’t actually call me to them. I reserve my energy for the things that will fill me up the most. I am conscious and mindful of what I have to give to each day so I don’t overextend myself every night.   Work more deeply with the New Moon in Libra with this month’s workshop – it has a reading, ritual, and guided meditation for you. Virgo & Virgo Rising I put a little honey on my money so more of the same sticks to it. I keep my coins in quality-controlled containers so they know I appreciate their value. I protect my assets by caring for the conditions I work within.  With this New Moon, I attract the kind of work that appreciates, honors, and pays me well. I release the gigs that don’t pay, don’t equal out to a good investment of my time, and don’t end up helping me make ends meet.

I make sure that those I trade with feel the love I have for what I do. If there’s no sweetness in making it, it’s not the kind of success I’m after.  With this New Moon, I clean out my wallets, purses, and pocketbooks. I make sure to declutter the spaces that I hope will hold a great number of good things. I remind myself that clearing pathways for fortune to find me is my part of the bargain. Magic relies on my efforts, and the spells I am casting don’t Bibiddy-Bobbidy-Boo on their own. Libra & Libra Rising Being dedicated to my personal best means being dedicated to quality rest, quality care, and quality time with myself and my inner-circle sweethearts. Being dedicated to my personal growth means being able to cut out what curbs it. Being dedicated to making this next year one to remember means being clear about what I want and learning how to express it without hesitation, guilt, or wanting it redacted.

With this New Moon, I become unwavering in my commitment to meeting my needs, protecting my energy, and reclaiming any investments I’ve made that are costing me. I value the gift of every day too dearly to waste even a moment on what isn’t necessary, needed, or mine to mind. With this rebirth I am more considerate of what I say yes to, remembering that the first affirmation has to be with myself. If it’s not a yes for me, it can’t be for anyone else. I no longer waste my time thinking I can please everyone, it’s an insult to all involved. Relationships based on equality can’t function unless honesty is central to everything in them.  Work more deeply with the New Moon in Libra with this month’s workshop – it has a reading, ritual, and guided meditation for you. Scorpio & Scorpio Rising All good things begin in the dark. Conception must be done without criticism of its process. The wrong kind of light leads to overexposure. Bleached out beginnings lead to abrupt endings.  I let myself linger in the unknown.  I refuse to pressure myself. I refuse to force myself. I refuse to forsake my current momentum. As I prepare for my season, I know some stillness is needed. I know that listening requires my entire being. I know that trusting my body when it demands rest is the most intelligent response I can conjure up.  There is magic in the downtime.

There are dreams that need to find me, but flee when I’m too consumed with being busy. There is power in my stillness. The deeper I am rooted in myself, the clearer I am on the actions I need to take and the less energy I waste chasing what isn’t mine or any of my business.  With this New Moon I know to honor the endings I am experiencing as gateways to new beginnings right around the corner. May I be released from wanting anything that isn’t meant for me. Work more deeply with the New Moon in Libra with this month’s workshop – it has a reading, ritual, and guided meditation for you. Sagittarius & Sagittarius Rising  I’m invested in creating networks that become safety nets. I know that diversity is the key to generativity. I know that finding allies takes time. I know that finding those that want to energetically, creatively, or financially support my dreams takes my ability to remain dedicated to the process no matter who approves of it. Learning how to take constructive feedback is very different than being railroaded by critique without creative solutions. I take care of my creative projects by protecting them from such carelessness.

I’m invested in the ingenuity that is accessed when everyone in the group feels valued. I know that if I think I’m responsible for figuring it all out, I’ll collapse under the weight of the responsibility. I know that the most intelligent way to work is to count on the inherent wisdom of all involved. With this New Moon, I commit to honoring the members of the teams I am a part of. I’m invested in building spaces where everyone that enters is given the opportunity to tap into their potential. Including myself. With this New Moon, I make my friendships a priority. Caring for my community is a blessing I cash in on. Loving on my people is loving myself. Seeing my besties glow gives me all the more reason to keep shining. Letting others know what I struggle with, hold, and hope for might be hard but it’s the only way to get help holding it all. I am not in this alone, but sometimes I need to put myself in the company of those that know how to remind me so. A Workshop for the New Moon in Libra, the Full Moon in Aries, and the Astrology of September 28 – October 26.

Capricorn & Capricorn Rising To scale great heights takes great focus. It takes knowing what to put aside. It takes knowing what to cut out completely. It takes knowing what to pack extra of. It takes trusting that whatever falls down the cliff wasn’t meant to make it to the top with me. This is no time to get side-tracked. With this New Moon, I set intentions for my work-life and make preparations for the professional peaks I wish to reach. My to-do lists are made with great pleasure and specificity. My emails are constructed with confidence and clarity. My ability to side-step power-hungry people with agility and grace is at an all-time high.

I’m not willing to host those with bad intentions, bad boundaries, or nothing nice to say.  There’s no room in this caravan for those kinds of shenanigans.  I’m serving the world my work in hopes that it is sweet to receive. I’m working alongside those that know the power of creativity, kindness, and care. I want to create pockets where my industry can grow its integrity and foster work that I can be proud to say I was a part of. Aquarius & Aquarius Rising September’s New Moon asks me to make a choice. I can choose to invest in myself and the path I am currently on, or in my past and what I have no power to fix, change or do over.  I can’t have both.  I can’t forge a new way and be stuck in a paradigm that doesn’t support it. I can’t hold onto what is over and feel full with hope for what’s on the horizon. I can’t keep letting the guilt of surviving to stop me from thriving.  It’s unfair to keep dragging the past into the future. It’s unreasonable to expect that I’ll get anywhere if all I’m doing is looking back in regret. It’s unconscionable to split my energy, myself, and my life in two.  I respect what and where I’ve come from while allowing myself the freedom to grow into all I know I can be. I know that when others ask me to dim my light, dull my shine, or slow my roll, it’s only from a place of fear and I love myself and respect them too much to oblige it. Changing me to make you more comfortable does no one any good, ever. Work more deeply with the New Moon in Libra with this month’s workshop – it has a reading, ritual, and guided meditation for you. Pisces & Pisces Rising Long-lasting change comes through long-standing effort. I don’t expect all things to heal in an instant,  but I know that cumulative efforts can create the conditions for quantum leaps.  With this New Moon, I appreciate the work that I have put in, making my healing possible. With this New Moon, I honor everyone who has invested their time, energy, and talent in me. With this New Moon, I make sure to pay these investors back by taking my dreams, potential, and productivity seriously.  I haven’t come this far to cut my chance for success short.

With this New Moon, I clear space for the most important collaborations I am cultivating. Even if there are multiple opportunities that I’d like to take on, I focus on the ones that are the most energetically and monetarily profitable. I know that saying yes to one thing means saying no to others and while I’d love to stay open and available, the more powerful move is to stay focused and determined.  Work more deeply with the New Moon in Libra with this month’s workshop – it has a reading, ritual, and guided meditation for you. A Note on Saturday’s New Moon in Libra ~ September 27, 2019

Darlings,

Your horoscopes will be out tonight, but I wanted to share a few details with you about the New Moon in Libra, which arrives at 11:26 AM PT on Saturday.

The New Moon in Libra is an affirmation, an invitation, and a little revelation sent to lift our spirits and remind us of what’s possible under pressure. Arriving in the nick of time, this refresh occurs when life’s squeeze is a little tight, its grip a little unrelenting, and its tasks mounting in importance and numbers.

September 13  9:33 PM PT, Harvest Full Moon at 21° Pisces Mercury conjunct Venus at 29° of Virgo Sun in Virgo trine Pluto Rx in Capricorn, both at 20° Mars in Virgo opposes Neptune Rx in Pisces, both at 17°

There are times when figuring a situation out is impossible. Times that demand we feel, float, and wade our way through them. Times that leave us untethered and unable to choose a direction.   Welcome to the full moon in Pisces

Known in the Northern Hemisphere as the Harvest Moon, this moment is ripe with messy emotions and events that don’t entirely make sense. Conjunct Neptune, Goddess of the Great Seas, this is one of the most sensitive lunations of late. The full moon opens up the floodgates, upends all boundaries, and makes a mockery of Virgo Season’s desire for clarity and categorization.

Pisces isn’t here to distinguish one thing from another (like Virgo loves to). It’s a sign that does away with all silos of separation. Things fall apart. The laces that tie our lives together come undone. Truth seeps through the seams. Under the light of this full moon, we have the hard task of letting time wash the truth of the matter up onto the shores of our lives. This is not a moment for precision, it is a moment for working with the practices that promote our ability to find solutions; time in nature, reading poetry, staring at the ceiling, taking long baths, long walks, and deep breaths.

If things are a mess at the moment, don’t rush past them. Hold space for your experience without indulging your worst-case scenarios (at least not for too long). Remind yourself repeatedly that there is a solution and it is on its way. Your job is to take the highroad with yourself, bearing witness to what hurts, what gets confused, and what needs sorting through…
It is still Virgo Season after all.

This full moon is sextile Pluto (the Sun is trine it), giving it the ability to lead us towards experiences that will transform our way of working. Whatever comes up in your life over the course of this full moon (right before the full moon up until the next new moon), invest in the belief that it is best. Don’t waste energy worrying about what you can’t fix. Redirect it towards what you can do to stay afloat.

This full moon happens on a day already packed with high-functioning, and just plain high, astrology. At the edge of Virgo, Venus and Mercury meet. This brings a little dose of sweetness to this day, promoting listening, care, and consideration. At the edge of reason, Mars makes an opposition to Neptune (and the full moon). This is a dose of high-octane intoxicant, adding to the mushy make-up of this lunation. Directions get blurry, instructions get lost, and gas-lighting may feel more than likely. You are allowed to be angry when an injustice happens, just make sure that you aren’t being overly precious or preoccupied with what your bruised ego will tell you to do. It’s best to use this energy for creative and spiritual endeavors.

Or just rest as much as you can whenever you can.

If you want a little extra guidance for this full moon, I’ve got a reading, ritual, and guided meditation for you in A Workshop for the New Moon in Virgo, the Full Moon in Pisces, and the Astrology of August 30-September 27.

September 14

Mercury enters Libra, there until October 3 Venus enters Libra, there until November 1

As Mercury and Venus travel together, they leave one’s domain (Mercury rules Virgo) to enter the other’s (Venus rules Libra). Here, Mercury is given a major boost by Venus. The Goddess in all her glory gives The Messenger ample sweet treats and trinkets. This helps us beautify our speech and better connect with one another.

However.

Both are soon to face some incredible opponents. As they do, our relationship dynamics and communication issues will need our attention, energy, and commitment.

September 18

Saturn stations direct at 13° Capricorn Having been retrograde since the end of April, Saturn has been encouraging us to review the structures we work within. Specifically in the topics related to the part of your chart that contains Capricorn, Saturn’s lessons have most likely been stern but transformative. Nothing is a teacher like real life, and the effects of Saturn are far from virtual. These lessons aren’t complete, but you’ve most likely done a tremendous amount of work anchoring the core of its curriculum. As this Babe of Boundaries pivots, do what you need to honor yours.

September 19

Mars in Virgo trine Pluto in Capricorn, both at 20°

Committing to forward momentum can be the difference between settling for situations not meant for you, or connecting to your future potential by risking what is comfortable but confining. Most fears are just problems waiting to be figured out. Most of the time what stops us from dismantling our doubts is an unconscious agreement to give them a power they haven’t earned. Today’s astrology wants you to connect to your agency, power, and potency. It wants you to dismantle doubt, channel the confidence of a mediocre white man, and give life your all.

This astro might make you a little extra agro, so channel that excess energy into your most challenging projects and pursuits.

September 21

Jupiter in Sagittarius square Neptune Rx in Pisces, both at 17°

The last of 3 squares between these two planets helps us to clear up a couple of our doubts about our growth and pathways towards progress. Over the past year, as Jupiter and Neptune have been in a square to each other, many opportunities may have turned to mush, but many a daydream may have led to your best idea yet. The rub of these two teaches us to manage expectations while allowing time to fantasize ourselves out of what restricts us. After this last pass, Jupiter is free and in the best form it will be for quite some time. October and November bring big blessings in regards to the area of your chart that contains Sagittarius; as Jupiter makes its last moves through hereyou’ll want to make an effort to make the most of them.

September 22

Mercury in Libra square Saturn at 14° Capricorn

Over the course of the next couple of days, the area of your chart that contains Libra goes through a rough patch. Today’s is all about communication. You may have many a writing deadline or many a tough conversation to be had. ‘No’ abounds. Stick to solutions and you’ll find a way to work through the limits others may be placing in front of you. Some you should heed, some you should have a good long look at to find your way around.

September 23

12:51 AM PT – Sun enters Libra

Happy Equinox! Today’s astrology brings Spring to the Southern Hemisphere and Fall to the Northern. With this change of light we get a new perspective. Libra is the sign of balance and harmony, but its not achievable if we aren’t willing to work through discord and strife. The sun will go through the same challenges that all planets in Libra must. There are a few limits and boundaries that might feel like a weight, until you muster up the strength to lift them.

September 24

Mercury in Libra sextile Jupiter in Sagittarius, both at 17°

Today’s astrology is a moment of levity in an otherwise heavy week. Take advantage of the bright ideas and bold conversations that come your way. In them you’ll find the keys to working through a few current difficulties.

September 25

Venus in Libra square Saturn in Capricorn, both at 13°

Today’s astrology feels like it lacks in loving kindness and over-emphasizes strict rules and guidelines. There may not be a ton of pleasure here, but any responsibilities tended to will most likely lead to some in the long-run. Boundaries in partnerships become a big deal. Knowing which to be firm on and which were erected out of fear makes all the difference.

September 26

Mercury in Libra square Pluto Rx in Capricorn, both at 20°

Deep and cathartic conversations may not lead to peace talks but they will get to the truth. There’s no getting around astrology like this. We can choose to work through it or hide from it, but if we do the latter we just have to deal with it in another form, in another time.

Aries & Aries Rising

September’s full Moon lights up your hidden life. What comes to consciousness now, needs to. Healing has its own time. Deeper truths only arise if and when we’re ready. The Harvest Moon primes you for such insights.  The efforts that you’ve made to have a better understanding of what’s pained you have added up. Hopefully this has created some space in you for a little more self-acceptance, a little less fear, and a lot more forgiveness for the mistakes you make as you try, learn, and be human. Let the cleansing nature of this moment leave you with lighter emotional baggage than before.  Open floodgates and prepare flotation devices.   This moment also lifts up the projects that you are working on behind the scenes. As they come to an important stage of their growth, consider how best to serve them. Be mindful of what they lack and be willing to work at correcting it.  As the Harvest Moon fades, so too does Virgo Season. Its close makes a point to inspire you to get your professional life that much more precisely put together. Taking a few key actions is critical at this point as you have a storehouse of power at your disposal. The impact you make at work is long-lasting and should be done with confidence, swagger, and skill.  As Saturn stations direct, it gives you a report card on the structures, boundaries, and responsibilities that you have taken on in your career. Over the past 5 months, this strict seductress has made it abundantly clear that nothing much can be accomplished in your professional sphere without your commitment to the process. This has not been an immediate gratification type of situation but what Saturn has offered you is the opportunity to fully investigate and reflect on what, and who, you answer to. Or should refuse to. If you want a little extra guidance for this full moon, I’ve got a reading, ritual, and guided meditation for you in A Workshop for the New Moon in Virgo, the Full Moon in Pisces, and the Astrology of August 30-September 27.

Taurus & Taurus Rising

There is a place for all of us on this planet. It was made big enough, wide enough, and grand enough to hold all of our complexity. But more than that, it is dependent upon it. It is the diversity that we bring that makes this place whole. Generative. Gorgeous.  The Harvest Moon pulls focus on how you feel about your wide array of friends, networks, and associations. It comments on the importance of all the many connections you’ve compiled. It asks you to remember the dreams that originally drew you to them, acknowledges the power of your shared ideals, and comments on the reality of all you’ve manifest with them.  You don’t need to reinvent the wheel in your work with others, you just need to use it towards a collective vision for the dreamiest future possible.  As the full moon fades and Virgo Season comes to a close, the power of your creativity makes itself known. What you create is constantly shaping you; choose your projects with the shape of what you are growing yourself into in mind. The Equinox brings with it a departure in tone. Libra Season sees you hard at work and challenged in ways that demand the best from you. These little pitfalls and obstacles give you important pieces of your professional puzzle. Don’t fear the conflict and don’t mistake a little struggle for a small scene in a grand tale of triumph.  If you want a little extra guidance for this full moon, I’ve got a reading, ritual, and guided meditation for you in A Workshop for the New Moon in Virgo, the Full Moon in Pisces, and the Astrology of August 30-September 27.

Gemini & Gemini Rising

The soul of your work is where the Harvest Moon wants you to place your attention. The world will tell you to sell out, but right now the only thing that will satisfy you is making an effort to bring your professional dreams into reality.  Without them there is only a shell of a role you play instead of the galaxy of possibility that could be. The full moon pulls focus on the efforts that you’ve put into your career and offers you some reflections on the ways in which you take up space in the world. Whatever your professional experiences have taught you over the past 5 months, this moment brings the lessons together. This synthesizing can help you feel much appreciation for the intersection of your efforts and the opportunities you’ve been able to run with. As Virgo Season comes to a close it reminds you how important it is to be determined in your efforts to create a solid and sturdy foundation for yourself. Winning in this area of your life is more about tenderness than triumph. In order to access the softer areas of self, being uncompromising about your power and when to wield it is essential.  Saturn’s station direct reminds you that without places to sort out and transform what is too hard to handle on our own, you end up weighed down unnecessarily. The healing structures you’ve been able to commit to over the past year and a half are revealing themselves for the sound skeletal system they are. When we refuse to do our inner work, partnerships become a funhouse, messing with our ability to experience intimacy. Keep building these places of respite, restoration, and reflection. Your relationships, and all the bounty they want to bring you, depend on it. If you want a little extra guidance for this full moon, I’ve got a reading, ritual, and guided meditation for you in A Workshop for the New Moon in Virgo, the Full Moon in Pisces, and the Astrology of August 30-September 27.

Cancer & Cancer Rising

There may be no greater tragedy in life than a missed opportunity to appreciate how far you’ve come, how incredible your journey, and how awe-inspiring the process of your life is. The Harvest Moon comments on the dreams that you have realized for yourself – no matter what still feels like a mess. Whatever you do during this Moon, take a moment to reflect on the amount of energy, dedication, and luck it took to get you to this stage of your evolution.   As Saturn stations direct, the dynamics of your committed partnerships become clearer than they’ve been in a while. What you’ve learned about your boundaries and expectations of others will serve you well going forward. Knowing the difference between past dynamics and present ones saves so much time, energy, and hurt feelings. This learning process is far from over for you – it’s lifelong – but the insight you have gained provides you with a much more conscious understanding of the issues that arise repeatedly for you. Don’t take on what others refuse to work on for themselves. The last week of the month see you working on the foundations of your life. Libra Season sees you turn a couple of tight corners. Finding your way around each one teaches you just how much healing you’ve done – and that each layer you peel back helps you plant your life more firmly in the soil. If you want a little extra guidance for this full moon, I’ve got a reading, ritual, and guided meditation for you in A Workshop for the New Moon in Virgo, the Full Moon in Pisces, and the Astrology of August 30-September 27.

Leo & Leo Rising

The full moon reminds you of the importance of composting. A process wherein nothing is wasted. A process that nature is relentlessly engaged in. A process from which abundance is an outcome.  If we want to grow, we have to make peace with letting go.  No experience, no mistake, no sorrow, and no slight is left unincorporated – all of it, no matter how challenging, is utilized by the organism that is your life.  It’s easy to forget our power when in the middle of molting. This current shedding is temporary, sensitizing, and important for the long-term. Your collaborations might be places for this high-speed growth. They also help you to make dreams a reality, reminding you that the process of doing so is far from perfect but so right for the present moment Saturn’s station direct comments on what the last couple of months have taught you professionally. Teaming up with the end of Virgo Season, Saturn’s station direct connects you to your desire to win financially. You’re being asked to strategize with the resources you have at your disposal. It’s not about being perfect, but it is about the moment being exceptionally suited to your specific talents if you choose to stick to your commitments and work through the fears that inevitably arise.  If you want a little extra guidance for this full moon, I’ve got a reading, ritual, and guided meditation for you in A Workshop for the New Moon in Virgo, the Full Moon in Pisces, and the Astrology of August 30-September 27.

Virgo & Virgo Rising

As the Harvest moon blooms, it pulls focus on your commitments to others. What you’ve been able to build together, through dreaming and doing, is celebrated under these skies. What you’ve recently come through within your most important relationships leaves a long-lasting impact on you, and them.  This is a moment of exceptional sensitivity and the power of it is a gateway to radical change if you need it. Be gentle with your tender heart, even when you think it’s being dramatic (it may just be trying to get your attention). Your ability to be vulnerable with yourself is a skill that serves you incredibly well in this moment. It can be a challenging one to master, or even to practice, but doing so brings you insights that can’t be underestimated.  As the full moon fades, the last week and a half of Virgo Season reminds you of the balance between being thoroughly prepared and taking deep leaps of faith. When you commit to the practices that never let you down and you show up for the responsibilities that develop your talents, business has a way of taking care of itself. Worrying is a human reaction to life but redirecting your energy towards doing what you can in the moment leaves much less time for it. Apply the same philosophy if any financial or professional issues arise come the last week of September and as we shift into Libra Season.  If you want a little extra guidance for this full moon, I’ve got a reading, ritual, and guided meditation for you in A Workshop for the New Moon in Virgo, the Full Moon in Pisces, and the Astrology of August 30-September 27.

Libra & Libra Rising

little disharmony is key to living a balanced life. There are solutions in the conflict, new sounds to discover in the discord, and there are ways in which you strengthen your core when teetering off balance. While the Harvest Moon pulls focus on your work routines, relationships and projects, you are asked to do the impossible task of balancing all of that against what you need personally. There are still a million details to tend to behind the scenes but look for opportunities to take micro naps, mini meditations, and make sure to stop by every refueling station you can.  As the Equinox initiates you into Libra Season, you might feel a little more under pressure – and for good reason. You’re being asked to run a much tighter ship, take the shape of things more seriously, and consider all the ways in which it’s time to step up your game. Even the smallest of adjustments can help you make major improvements. Be honest with yourself about what you need to eliminate, either temporarily or long-term, in order to accomplish what you’ve set out to. In order to help you feel more supported in the world, some things at home may be ready for an upgrade. Give yourself what you need, especially when you catch yourself thinking that it’s ridiculous of you to need it. If you want a little extra guidance for this full moon, I’ve got a reading, ritual, and guided meditation for you in A Workshop for the New Moon in Virgo, the Full Moon in Pisces, and the Astrology of August 30-September 27.

Scorpio & Scorpio Rising

The Harvest Moon gives you ample opportunity to witness how your creative dreams have recently come into form. It is a reminder to appreciate the immense power of your imagination and to always give it a place of prominence in your work and process. The visions that appear to you in relentless ways want to be brought into the world through you. Oblige them.  This full moon is a reminder that you don’t have to know exactly how your dreams will manifest in order to engage with them. They just have to know that you are willing to go through the process of realizing them and they’ll show you where to go and what to do once you do.  Because your creative process is so tied to the people you wish to serve with it, there is a direct call and response that you can tune into now.  Listen.  This isn’t to say that you need to shape things to other’s likes and dislikes, but the feedback you receive will more than likely inspire you to trust in the power of your creativity. Your community, your audience, and your networks let you know the impact and impression your work has made (and is making) on them. Let any creative triumph you have in this moment become an affirmation that you can use for future projects.  There’s an excellent pocket of time from the end of September to the beginning of December wherein work opportunities can help your bank account become especially abundant. Remember to go for the kind of work that has unusually good returns on the investment of your time and talent, both in material and soulful ways.  If you want a little extra guidance for this full moon, I’ve got a reading, ritual, and guided meditation for you in A Workshop for the New Moon in Virgo, the Full Moon in Pisces, and the Astrology of August 30-September 27.

Sagittarius & Sagittarius Rising

If history is written by the winners, it’s your job to triumph by revealing the truth of your roots. The Harvest Moon celebrates your ability to be honest about your past, willing to forgive yourself for what you didn’t know, and ready to keep working on connecting to your core, sourcing power from yourself instead of any position you hold or wish you held in the world.  You were brought here for a reason, born with a purpose, and made with care by the creative force that saw fit to mold you as you are. The full moon wants you to know this with no doubt, no shame, and no hesitation. Healing your relationship with your former life and former selves is hard work. Rest when you need. Go home early. Get into bed when it’s still light out. Make no excuses for your needs. You have a lot to accomplish out in the world, but your home-base is what will hold you through it. As Virgo Season comes to a close, it does so by granting you incredible drive to make an impact on your professional life – a totally different tone than the full moon created. This push and pull may be confusing and most likely points to the importance of having both aspects of life in as much balance as possible.  Get specific about what you can and can’t do. The more precision you bring to your professional life, the more impressed others will be, and the more consciously you can direct your energy towards realizing your intentions. Success takes both focus and the ability to understand what to cut out, what to move towards with confidence, and what support your system calls for. You’re going to have to figure out how to hold all the abundance coming your way in the near future. The end of September will also bring interpersonal dynamics to contend with in friend groups and your networks. Be fair when political dynamics need a voice of reason, but be firm when unnecessary drama tries to take over.  If you want a little extra guidance for this full moon, I’ve got a reading, ritual, and guided meditation for you in A Workshop for the New Moon in Virgo, the Full Moon in Pisces, and the Astrology of August 30-September 27.
Capricorn & Capricorn Rising

The full moon pulls focus on your communications. What you have to say, get across, or put in writing is amplified by this lunation. Make sure that your content has clarity. This full moon will have a tendency to blur the points that you are making, but it can also tend to uncover what has been unclear, muddy, or a little chaotic. If your days feel like they are bursting at the seams, make sure to get some perspective. Remember that what you want in the long-term needs you to fight for it in the short-term.  Trying to avoid conflict is a sure-fire way to create some.  These lessons start to seep into your professional life mere moments after the full moon. Whether it’s you or those that you work with that have a problem being straightforward, the issues are unrelenting come the last half of September and the first part of October. This is a small segment of time, but it’s one that can help shape the trajectory of your career. Make sure to take the high-road in hopes of developing ever more integrity on the job and within yourself.  As your planet, Saturn, stations direct you are reminded that having authority over your life is your birthright, but one that you have to remind yourself of. Fear has a funny way of making us forget this and we have to be willing to deconstruct the myths it spins around our lives. Untangle yourself from stories where you are a passive participant in your own journey. If you want a little extra guidance for this full moon, I’ve got a reading, ritual, and guided meditation for you in A Workshop for the New Moon in Virgo, the Full Moon in Pisces, and the Astrology of August 30-September 27.

Aquarius & Aquarius Rising

The Harvest Moon shines its light on your resources and the ways in which you use them to make your dreams come true. Investing in your visions is imperative now. It takes more than money; it takes time, energy, love, and a relentless belief in your ability to figure out the next step to success.  Not taking the risk means never reaping the reward.  The full moon in Pisces brings up deep feelings about your worth, your work, and what you are meant to do with the abundance in your life. There’s no need to over-think your gifts. Your job is to trust them, give the excess you have access to away, and use whatever it is that you have to help others tap into their own wells of plenty. The more you do, the more becomes available for you to work with. Whatever you want in your life wants you to be more of a source for it. It’s a simple recipe for success, but not always easy to perform in practice. As Saturn stations direct you get clearer on the ways in which you’ve been able to create solid structures for your healing. It’s a process that is never done, nor perfected, but one that you get better at relating to over time. Take note of how the past 5 months have taught you to carve out time for yourself, time for your healing, and time for your projects to take shape. Your creative incubators are holy temples. As you worship at their altar with your commitment and devotion, you’ll gain greater clarity and clearer communication about what your projects need and how to give it to them.  If you want a little extra guidance for this full moon, I’ve got a reading, ritual, and guided meditation for you in A Workshop for the New Moon in Virgo, the Full Moon in Pisces, and the Astrology of August 30-September 27.

Pisces & Pisces Rising

Your ability to tune into the needs of others is at an all-time high during September’s Harvest Moon. Your compassion pours forth. Your kindness is lifted up for all to see.   But this moment also illuminates your need for the same sweetness. Life is not one-sided; your relationships need not be either. Abundance comes when you know who to share your life with. Satisfaction comes when you strive to share it with integrity. Joy comes when you refuse to compromise being honest for being liked. Virgo season has taught you these lessons by making you reflect on your interpersonal dynamics.  As the light of the full moon shines down on you, celebrate the successes you’ve had and the strides you’ve made to relieve yourself of the shame that would’ve made you shrink in the past.

Take up the space that is yours to fill out and shine within. The world is ready for your work and in order to bring it to us you must refuse to play it small. Fear isn’t always a liar, but when it is, it is the worst kind. These last few months of 2019 want to help you exceed your own expectations. What’s possible when you make a real effort to leave a mark on the world is waiting for you to discover it.

Meditate on the impact that you want to make on your profession, your community, and all those you care for, then bring that vision with you to work each and every day.
If you want a little extra guidance for this full moon, I’ve got a reading, ritual, and guided meditation for you in A Workshop for the New Moon in Virgo, the Full Moon in Pisces, and the Astrology of August 30-September 27.

August 30

3:37 PM PT – New Moon at 6° of Virgo

No one appreciates the intelligence of streamlining like Virgo. This sign knows that in order to heal, the system in question needs enough space to do so. Clutter is a natural part of life. Chaos is an intrinsic aspect of the creative process. But the first order of magic is clearing a space for our rituals to take place within. Spells are cast to harness and align with the forces of the natural world; the less that stands between us and them, the more impact our incantations have.

The new moon in Virgo asks us to do some emotional organizing, declutter our psychological systems, and as a result clear a path for solutions and unexpected opportunities to find their way to us.

The new moon in Virgo is flanked by a pile-up of planets in Virgo, emphasizing this sign’s attributes. With Mercury, Venus, and Mars here, the earthy emphasis of this moment speaks to what it means to manifest our energy in real-time in the material world. Sitting with its ruler, Mercury, The Magician and Messenger, this new moon is encouraging us to take time to digest, integrate, and absorb the meaning of life’s current events. In a trine to Uranus, the new moon and Mercury are teaming up with the planet of innovation. Unconventionality, change, and bold new beginnings want to make their mark on our lives.

Mars and Uranus are two of the testier planets out there, however, and with such an emphasis on the sometimes pickiest of signs, our patience may run thin for things that don’t work, don’t move quickly, or don’t fit precisely. This astrology can trick us into being overly and overtly critical, tearing apart what is better left alone.

Careful where you put that criticism.

Under these skies, what has grown tired and tedious becomes a thorn in our side. This new moon brings with it a soulful efficiency. In order to receive its blessings, we’ll need to risk letting go of what might have worked for this long, but won’t help us go the distance.

September 1

Mercury in Virgo trine Uranus Rx in Taurus, both at 6°

Communications become increasingly interesting as Mercury and the Mistress of Mayhem, Uranus, team up. Watch out for ideas, inspirations, and all kinds of breakthrough conversations that fill your airwaves and ask to be channeled through your windpipes.

Venus in Virgo trine Saturn Rx in Capricorn, both at 14°

Venus and Saturn also team up today in support of the new moon’s initiatives. This is a transit that has heft and an ability to help us manifest. Making the most of our connections, today’s astro wants us to fill the containers we’ve built for pleasure, joy, and creative explorations with fertile soil.

September 2

Sun conjunct Mars in Virgo at 9°

Between today and tomorrow, Mars makes itself known. These are days full of action, heat, movement, flare-ups, fire, and new beginnings. Here, Mars begins a new cycle. Much like a new moon phase, what we learn about our power, anger, and agency makes all the difference for our future growth. Channel your drive instead of being steered by frustration, or worse, bitterness for having not tried at what you most want to make happen in life.

Venus in Virgo square Jupiter in Sagittarius, both at 15°

The two planets most focused on feeling good team up today. This secondary astrological tone of the moment may magnify our desires for connecting to any and all sources of pleasure. It’s best to give in to these kinds of moments instead of resisting just know that they will be encouraging us to go all-out without much regard for whether or not we can afford such extravagances.

September 3

Mercury conjunct Mars and Sun in Virgo at 10°

Today is a hot topic. Temperatures rise and it may be easy to say things we’ll later regret. Instead of letting today’s astrology run wild, run with it. Write, sing, shout from the rooftops if you can but just make sure to vent your more heated thoughts and feelings in ways that can be constructive (or at least not damaging).

September 4

Venus in Virgo opposes Neptune Rx in Pisces, both at 17°

Today is dreamy and deluded, derailing and delightful. Not great for specifics, Venus opposing Neptune is here to make your most ideal relationship scenarios come to life. They may not be the real-deal, but under this influence, you might not care. These two might not land you in anything long-lasting, but the mirage will most likely be entertaining. Some will feel this as a deep need to escape and this desire should be indulged if possible. Binge on all the rom-coms you can, just don’t compare your life to their plot lines.

September 5

Mercury in Virgo trine Saturn Rx in Capricorn, both at 14°

Helpful information, conversations, and agreements are made now. Look for those that can and want to commit to what you do.

September 6

Mercury in Virgo square Jupiter in Sagittarius, both at 15°

Big moves, bold conversations, and bright ideas are the talk of the town today. Mercury feels especially bolstered here, but a little unevenly. While the flashiness of the moment might momentarily win favor, the nitty-gritty details will eventually have to be dealt with. Enjoy this influence, just remember that every big adventure we say yes to requires as big of an effort to make happen.

Sun in Virgo trine Saturn Rx in Capricorn, both at 14°

This signature anchors some of our best efforts into reality, helping the machines of our lives stay well-oiled and industrious. Keep working with what keeps working.

Venus in Virgo trine Pluto Rx in Capricorn, both at 20°

This aspect of today’s astrology helps us to get to a deeper layer of our relationship dynamics with some ease. The intimacy that occurs with this influence makes an impact and doesn’t require another person to take place. Date yourself today.

September 7

Mercury in Virgo opposes Neptune Rx in Pisces, both at 17°

Much like a Mercury retrograde, today’s astrology will tend to frustrate the myopic, detail-focused, and fact-obsessed aspects of us. As the Messenger gets caught up in a world of make-believe, we might not get all the data we were promised but we do get access to some fascinating visions and fantasies. Go easy on yourself if day-dreaming derails you a little. Tomorrow gets you back on track.

September 8

Sun in Virgo square Jupiter in Sagittarius, both at 15°

Today’s astrology is uplifting and affirming. If yesterday was a bit of a mess, today makes up for it. Amplifying what works, almost to an extreme, today’s industriousness might make us over-produce but at least we’ll get the job done.

Mercury in Virgo trine Pluto Rx in Capricorn, both at 20°

Conversations run deep today. There is a need to have the kind of talks that are satiating on mental, emotional, and spiritual planes. Knowledge is shared in ways that transform the profane into the sacred. Catharsis is central to the conversation but comes with greater ease than usual.

Mars in Virgo trine Saturn Rx in Capricorn, both at 13°

This combination of Mars and Saturn in earth signs can’t be beat for its ability to connect us to both our drive and discipline. This is super-hero astrology. As humans we can use it in small doses or large ones, depending on our current appetite to accomplish our to-do lists or total world domination.

September 10

Sun in Virgo opposes Neptune Rx in Pisces, both at 17°

There’s no need to rush any aspect of today. In fact, it’s a day to dream, sleep, meditate, take a bath, take to your bed, make memes and other messes. This may not be at all possible for you right now, but just know if all you want to do is daydream or dilly dally, you are more in tune with the cosmos than you may give yourself credit for. At the very least read a trashy romance novel or get to a museum and wander through the work of the impressionists and surrealists.

September 12

Mars in Virgo square Jupiter in Sagittarius, both at 16°

The desire to win today runs wild. This astrology wants us to go hard for the things that are worth it. The aggressively accurate style of Mars in Virgo gets amplified, however. Criticism might get a little out of control. Temper it by cultivating a desire to be generous with the prizes you are awarded.

Aries & Aries Rising

With this new moon, I tap into my determination. It is always there as a resource for me to draw upon, but now I put it front and center as a practice. What I do on repeat plays the tune I create my life to. My rituals create worlds of meaning or disappointment. Mayhem or joyful chaos. Much ado about nothing or a lot of that special something.

I routinely sharpen what is in my toolshed. By flipping, reversing, and reconstructing the outdated structures I have been handed to work within, I make a triumph out of what was too tired to be of use.

I make sure that my instruments are cutting edge.

I’m not here to create a career in honor of mediocrity. With this new moon, I honor my unique way of using what I have in my professional grasp, when and where I can. Doing so requires effort as much as rest. It requires planning as much as it does dreaming. It requires me to develop my talents as much as it requires me to play without needing to produce. I focus on staying on track as much as I allow myself pathways to get lost down.

If you want to make the most of Virgo Season and this new Moon, I’ve got a reading, ritual, and guided meditation for you in A Workshop for the New Moon in Virgo, the Full Moon in Pisces, and the Astrology of August 30-September 27.

Taurus & Taurus Rising

My creativity needs to roam. Needs time and space to experience its wildness. Needs no one to tell it what to do or where to be. I may at times think that I am in charge of this process, but the real boss is the process. I am here to serve it, see it through, get out of its way as best I can and be in support of its tangents.

They always lead to an important discovery.

I don’t need this part of my life to make sense. I need it to help me appreciate the mystery of the moment. When I doubt my creations because they are not finished fast enough, I know that is a form of sabotage. I know that this kind of battle is waged with little pellets of doubt. Shrapnel that consists of criticism that splinters into the system. Shards of poison that develop into despair.

I know that this world isn’t invested in freedom of expression. I know that so many would rather conform than let the power of their paradigm-shattering creativity run the show. I know that we cannot keep living as we do and stay here for long, so I pledge allegiance to the innovative ideas that keep me up at night.

With this new moon, I promise to wake up to the power I possess because it can make my corner of the world more just, joyful, and sustainably, sensually, sumptuously generative.

If you want to make the most of Virgo Season and this new Moon, I’ve got a reading, ritual, and guided meditation for you in A Workshop for the New Moon in Virgo, the Full Moon in Pisces, and the Astrology of August 30-September 27.

Gemini & Gemini Rising

I sort through the rubble of my past with purpose. I find ways to make it a ritual. I find it essential to building a life of meaning. I give both the sorrow and the sweetness of my history a place to exist. Their colors complement each other. One texture tells me what to avoid. Another sound reminds me to attune myself to more of the same.

One way to look at how far I have come is to feel gratitude for the journey. The other is to feel resentment for what it hasn’t been. I can’t have both at the same time, so I choose what will help me at this moment.

I know that honoring my blessings doesn’t mean I need to discount my suffering. I know that any amount of appreciation for my life grounds me in what is fertile here and now. I know that to build a home for myself in the world might seem impossible at times, so I start by creating a world where I am welcomed. Appreciated. Applauded for what I am good at. Encouraged to grow and keep going.

It’s my job to create for myself what I need in the world, knowing that if I am missing it, others are too and future generations will need it as much as we do.

Cancer & Cancer Rising

I pay attention to what my intuition is telling me. I thank it for the messages it sends. I track its ability to always guide me to where I need to go next. I’m all for making plans, but I’ll break them if and when my gut demands I do.

With this new moon, I make a note of the books that magically fall off my shelves, the teachers that I accidentally stumble into, and the emails that come at exactly the right moment. I know that each time I acknowledge the synchronicities of my life, I reclaim a little bit of my power. Being overly invested in only the physical realm dulls my senses and intuitive powers. When I forget my connection to the living world, the most intense self-criticism my mind can cook up has a chance to take hold of my spirit.

With this new moon, I thoroughly investigate all the murmurs in my mind that suggest I am losing, lost, or failing at life. There are too many systems that win when I entertain self-doubt. There are too many other possibilities and potentials at play that I can and will tap into instead. There will be moments when I forget this, but they will pale in comparison to the moments when I recall my power. With the new moon, I commit this to memory.

Leo & Leo Rising

I am discerning with my resources. Not to be withholding, but to be enterprising. I respect the limits of what I have. Within the reality of what is sustainable, an abundance of ways to get professionally creative is possible.

Gluttony is basic corporate culture. I am here to build something that can see itself well into the future. And then some.

With this new moon, I rededicate my resources to what keeps me refueled. With this new moon, I stitch up the holes in my pockets so that my coins can collect. With this new moon, I aim to honor all the ways in which I am breaking the mold in my professional life. It takes courage to cut through the density of outdated cultural norms. What worked in the past but no longer has much use in the present needs to be revised.

With this new moon, I work on respecting the time, energy and talent it takes to pay my bills and keep my life on track. If the world has yet to pay me what I’m worth in dollars, I will pay myself what I’m worth in appreciation, affection, and self-respect. I know wins are out there, I just need to persevere in-between to get to them.

Virgo & Virgo Rising

I’d rather live my life in pursuit of joy, justice, and connection than spend my precious energy convincing others that I’m right. I know that what I’m right about will reveal itself. I don’t have to push truth on anyone.

When I’m present, the need to prove anything vanishes.

I trust that everything I do in earnest is revealed eventually. I focus on directing my energy towards what works right now. I focus on channeling my creativity into projects that help me regenerate. I focus on my rebirth this Virgo Season.

I trust that what I need will find its way to me, what is mine will never refuse me, and what is happening at this moment is needed and necessary. I trust that the relationship dynamics in my life are helping me hone in on a couple of key lessons I need to learn now. I trust in love’s medicine. Its healing process uncovers my fears, my fortunes, and my everything in-between. I am here for the whole unveiling.

If you want to make the most of Virgo Season and this new Moon, I’ve got a reading, ritual, and guided meditation for you in A Workshop for the New Moon in Virgo, the Full Moon in Pisces, and the Astrology of August 30-September 27.

Libra & Libra Rising

Closure is sacred. Endings require ritual. Saying goodbye is as important to the process as hello. Anything in my life that is wrapping up, getting reinvented, recycled, or renewed gets my blessing.

I know that what I am being relieved of is clearing the way for what I need to live into.

I know that moments of stillness don’t come often, so pausing is my pleasure when I get to. I also know that these moments can bring up sadness, loss, longing and all manner of rubble. But unless I check in, I can’t help to clear it out. With this new moon, I remember that both connecting with and sorting through whatever lays in wait when I stop, is some of the most important work I can do.

I know that so much activity happens underground before the bright light of day gets a hold of it. I know that what I see on everyone’s timeline is rarely reflective of the struggle it took to get there. I refuse to mistake a snapshot of a moment for the lifetime of effort it took to arrive at. I am more interested in the insides of things. In the ways in which I work. The ways in which a life of depth is created, protected, and lived out fully.

If you want to make the most of Virgo Season and this new Moon, I’ve got a reading, ritual, and guided meditation for you in A Workshop for the New Moon in Virgo, the Full Moon in Pisces, and the Astrology of August 30-September 27.

Scorpio & Scorpio Rising

I’m paying attention to the good news I get from others. I’m paying attention to who the core of my life is aligning with. I’m paying everyone I love the compliments they deserve.

Because I travel with gorgeous souls, it isn’t hard to reflect back to them the beauty they bestow.  When I find myself in the company of those I couldn’t, or wouldn’t, honestly give love to, I know I need to rework my social calendar. It’s too late in life to hang around those that don’t make me want to sing their praises. I love myself too much to waste my energy on those that don’t. I am more interested in making way for solutions than swimming in the sewage of self-sabotage.

I know that right now there is important work to be started with those that can and will get it done alongside me. I initiate projects with the people in my life that possess the prowess needed. I am here to help make way for our collective genius to emerge. I focus on facilitating spaces that are intelligently constructed, so much so that people feel safe enough to soften into their wisdom and let it come forth. I know each one of us carries so much baggage, and that finding ways to acknowledge it, without encouraging more of it, is key to getting to the wisdom we each have to offer.

If you want to make the most of Virgo Season and this new Moon, I’ve got a reading, ritual, and guided meditation for you in A Workshop for the New Moon in Virgo, the Full Moon in Pisces, and the Astrology of August 30-September 27.

Sagittarius & Sagittarius Rising

With this new moon, I cast spells of sustainable wellness in my professional life. I know that when building what may take a lifetime or longer to complete, I need pick-me-ups along the way. I focus on the little wins; the step taken, the poison extracted from the system, and the personal growth with each quality effort made. I focus on the things that I can get in order, not those that are beyond my control.

With this new moon, I remember that when abundance blesses me, my clarity about what to do with it keeps me progressing. Instead of wondering if I’m deserving of it, I trust that because it’s here it’s my job to do with it what’s right. The quality of the service that I can provide is the most important place to put my attention and intentions.

With this new moon, I make sure to polish up any skills that have been left to languish. Connecting the dots between what I have to work with at my disposal and what I want to bring into being is what differentiates me as a leader in my field. No matter who else comes along, right now I follow what is professionally promising and perpetually alluring to me.

Capricorn & Capricorn Rising

I know that a meaningful life is created every day, a little at a time, in the smallest of ways. I don’t underestimate the power of my practices. What I do as a ritual becomes my way to experience the transcendent.

With this new moon, I remember that big isn’t better, humility is where hope lives, and being of service is the holiest of endeavors. Without finding some satisfaction at the moment, I’ll only ever chase a fantasy of a future not granted to me.

With this new moon, I realign my actions with my visions for the future, making sure that where I am going is truly where I want to be headed. I remember to routinely readjust my compass. As I grow, so too does my understanding of where I want to be.

With this new moon, I’m planting the seeds for my future by saying yes to the incoming opportunities that stretch my understanding of the world. I have to leave my comfort zone regularly in order to know myself more deeply. I know that any pond in which I am a big fish will need to be traded out for one where I can test my strength, skills, and let the scales of my tail shine.

Aquarius & Aquarius Rising

There is no succeeding if I’m unwilling to work with the entirety of my experience. Particles of my past regularly intertwine with the events of the moment, but being able to parse out one from the other is what makes deconstructing demons possible. Pretending I am above my burdens only forces me to remove myself from life. Beauty doesn’t always showcase the process it takes to get there, but I’m here for the whole of my experience.

It’s my job to dissect what derails me. It’s my job to know the difference between what is dangerous and what feels threatening but will ultimately leave me thriving. It’s my job to find the people and the practices that help me live a life with less self-condemnation, doubt, and devaluing of my gifts.

With this new moon, I sort through what is a phantom of my past and what is the promise of a noteworthy future.

It’s never fun to face a fear, but it’s the only way to ground and grow. It’s the only way to truly get to know who I am. It’s the only way to get to the gold that lays in wait underneath it.

If you want to make the most of Virgo Season and this new Moon, I’ve got a reading, ritual, and guided meditation for you in A Workshop for the New Moon in Virgo, the Full Moon in Pisces, and the Astrology of August 30-September 27.

Pisces & Pisces Rising

The best relationships don’t feel like work, but that doesn’t mean they don’t require that I do a lot of my own. In order to be with you, I have to be able to be with me too. I need to be able to bear witness to all the parts of myself that are hard to accept if I want someone else to.

If I desire intimacy, there is no end to the unpacking of my past experiences, beliefs, and misgivings of it. In order to feel more connection in my life, I thoughtfully remove the obstacles I have placed between my heart and the whole world.

My defence mechanisms are understandable, but not an excuse for staying stuck in a pattern that I resent.

In order to transform, I have to be of service to the situation at hand. The issues my relationships pinpoint give me a much deeper appreciation of how tricky and tenacious they are. I need others to help me do this work, but only I can decide to do it. With this new moon, I honor all of the ways in which I am learning to disrupt unhelpful dynamics in my partnerships and replace them with ones that make it possible to build beauty together.

August 15

5:29 AM PT – Full Moon at 22° of Aquarius

The full moon in Aquarius brings perspective. Sitting directly across from Venus and the Sun, conjunct in Leo, this full moon has a privileged view.

Venus (love, desire, pleasure, and connection) conjunct the Sun (sense of self, personality, energy, and vitality) is no insignificant affair.

As Venus is engulfed in the Sun’s purifying fires, it is said to be in the heart of it. What gets burned away is hopefully a little of the fear that surrounds so many of our emotional systems. Feeling unworthy of love is a distortion so many of us carry. Feeling unfit to love another fuels so many of our interpersonal issues.

As Venus and the Sun help us feel the impacts of some of these storylines, the full moon in Aquarius offers us a much-needed perspective on how to overcome these misunderstandings. Aquarius is a cool-headed, even-tempered air sign, who values a fair assessment of a situation above all else. Not one to get embroiled in emotional ups and downs, Aquarius prefers to sit a little further from the stage so it can take in all the characters of a play fairly and accurately. Being able to witness, but not be fully enmeshed in, our emotional process is what makes healing possible. It aids in our ability to allow more love, affection, and connection into our lives – exactly what Venus is after.

Given the right conditions, intimacy comes with great ease and sweetness. All of nature knows how to connect to what it wants. Nothing in the wild feels any way about sending out its mating call. Though many of us have to work hard to undo the conditions that have lead to the disruption of it, connecting is central to life on the planet. It is the core principle of conception  – something that the natural world and Venus are always trying to create optimal conditions for.

Like bees flying directly into the pollen they desire, we are encouraged to go after what we want. The honey that flows from these days is not only golden but fortifying for the system. Claiming our desires makes our immune systems stronger. Suppressing a yearning only confuses our energy flow. Admitting to ourselves what we want is the first step towards creating the conditions that will bring it to us.

Celebrate this full moon by simply being a little more present to the love, pleasure, and connections that fill your life with joy. Feed your loves honey. Kiss more. Hug often. Create altars everywhere you go. Beautify your path and feel the blessing of being able to do so. Offer flowers and flirtatious affections to any and all Goddesses you come into contact with. Connect with all rituals that remind you what feels good, right, and holy to your whole system.

August 16

Mercury in Leo square Uranus Rx in Taurus, both at 6°

As Mercury leaves its post-retrograde shade, it makes a chaotic clash with Uranus. Hard on the system sometimes, what usually accompanies this astrology is the kind of truth that shatters norms. Be open to hearing the disruptive-but-decidedly-honest information meant for you. Be wary of saying something just to cause chaos.

August 17

Mars enters Virgo where it remains until October 3, 2019

None may be as aggressively hard-working as Mars in Virgo. Here, Mars fights back the urge to call it in, give up, or care less. This warrior is ready to challenge itself – and all of us – to do better daily. The part of our chart that contains Virgo is about to go through some exciting updates. Stay tuned.

August 21

Venus enters Virgo where it remains until September 14, 2019

Mercury in Leo trine Jupiter in Sagittarius, both at 14°

While in Virgo, Venus gets dirty. Not afraid of hard work, here Venus is more likely to put off pleasure than pursue it. While in Virgo, Venus helps us get much accomplished, but we’ll have to remember to pause and make space and time for the pursuit of all that brings us joy.

As Mercury makes its trine to Jupiter, good news and big ideas arrive. Here, our plans and communications get a jolt of lightning-like inspired ideas. Some may be too big for real-time so temper the torrential downpour with sound timeline realities.

August 23

Sun enters Virgo where it remains until September 23, 2019

Beyoncé Season starts out with energy, excitement, and creative ingenuity. Virgo needs to work, sort, and sift through life’s debris regularly. It is imperative to its well-being. As the planets leave the heat and intensity of Leo, they ask us what we can do to utilize the tools we have at hand while in Virgo. As Mars, Venus, the sun and soon Mercury enter this earth sign, they quickly form a trine to Uranus, the planet of change.

It’s time to use our tools in ways that liberate their potential and show us something new about ours.

August 24

Venus conjunct Mars in Virgo at 4°

As the cosmic lovers unite, they do so productively. In Virgo, Venus and Mars aim for a perfect union, one that works as hard as it loves. Passion gets channeled into productivity and sparks some of our more potent projects. What gets conceived of now should be taken seriously, worked with thoroughly, and protected accordingly.

August 26

Venus in Virgo trine Uranus Rx in Taurus at 6°

Just after Venus and Mars unite, the two go on to receive an update from Uranus. A little disruptive and a lot innovative, Venus trine Uranus takes our industriousness to a whole new level. Our creative projects benefit greatly when we dare to break free from the confines of mediocrity.

Today’s astrology also helps us to update our relationship agreements, break out of the patterns that keep our desires repressed, and encourages us to open up to new and possibly out-of-the-blue meetups.

August 28

Mars in Virgo trine Uranus Rx in Taurus, both at 6°

A trine between two of the most disruptive planets is cause for a little pause. This astrology is fantastic for breakthroughs but not so much for stabilization. Use this transit to bust down any walls of resistance you have to your own success. Days like this show us what we are capable of when we refuse despair and instead focus on what is worth fighting for.

August 29

Mercury enters Virgo, where it remains until September 14, 2019

Sun in Virgo trine Uranus Rx in Taurus, both at 6°

Today marks another moment in a week filled to the brim with industrious innovations. With the ruler of Virgo back in its home sign, all the planets there (the Sun, Venus, and Mars) have a little extra gas in their tank.

As the sun trines Uranus, we have the third planet in a week pass through this setup. That is a lot of positive, workable change we’ve been asked to channel. This first part of Virgo Season sets us up to confront, understand, and dismantle the outdated versions of our ways of working.

Aries & Aries Rising

The full moon pulls focus on the groups that you are a part of and the joy and pleasure they bring into your world. Party with those that you have loved, struggled alongside, healed with, and risked being vulnerable around. What you’ve been able to build together is what you’ll eventually refer to as ‘the good old days’, make sure not to miss living them.

The days surrounding the full moon will also help you get to the core of an intimacy issue with friends or lovers. Your ability to hold what hurts for yourself, while being able to communicate your needs to others, makes it possible for your relationships to have depth and length of life. Let your feelings breath and the facts that surround them will be all the more available for your use.

The days following the full moon have you on the professional move – but busy isn’t best. Right now your work calls for innovation, creativity, and sustainability. Take stock of your tool shed. What serves you daily? What have you let go rusty? What just needs a little rewiring? You’ve got access to everything you need, but you may have forgotten what you have to work with. Get busy remembering and renewing your relationship to the tools that are made to help you build successfully.

Taurus & Taurus Rising

The full moon lights up your career goals and public roles. What you have achieved, and what you have learned in light of it, now comes into view. Focus on what the process has taught you. Focus on what you have been able to understand about yourself through the brave act of chasing your dreams. Focus on what you are no longer afraid of trying, saying, or revealing about yourself. The more freedom you feel to be honest in the world, the more permission you’ll be able to give your projects and their process.

Once the full moon fades, what comes to consciousness is your need for a new creative outlet. Innovating what you make and how you make it is the theme of your last two weeks of August. What you are creating may or may not be changing, but how you create must. Meditate on the aspects of your self-expression that want a little more free will. Try not to let your ideas of what others want dominate what you make. The world needs you to break the molds of convention. The more you do, the more you’ll be able to access your internal age-old wisdom that is always willing and able to assist you.

Feel the breeze on your skin and find a place where you can ground and touch down.

Denounce busy and radically reclaim what in your life is beloved.

As the full moon fades, the rest of August encourages you to do what you can to reconnect to your home and inner life. Cancer & Cancer Rising

The full moon pulls focus on the pleasures of your collaborative pursuits. How you make a living is getting gifted with an extra dose of sweetness. Share some. Those that support you, see you through tough professional obstacles and help make your work-life less challenging benefit from your accolades. The good things that others offer are to be received as a blessing – taking a moment to acknowledge them as such can go an incredibly long way in your work together.

The full moon also helps you to shed a layer of any emotional debris that has built up. Through appreciating the quality of the time you have during the day, you are more likely to let old stresses slough off. The littlest of internal shifts can help you make the most dramatic overall changes.

Once the full moon fades, your days begin to get busier. With more action, adventure, and communications taking place, you are bound to feel the need to do and say more. Leo & Leo Rising

August’s full moon lights up your committed partnerships. The gifts of connection and companionship are portals into greater self-awareness. The messages that reveal themselves now are long-lasting. Allow yourself a little time to take them in. Allow yourself the luxury of letting go of a little resentment. Allow yourself the pleasure of not needing to be perfect in order to be loved.

Notice who is offering you affection without demands and care without coercion. Notice the appreciation that comes from others, with no strings attached. Notice who challenges you to make room for more tenderness and care.

Being open receptive to your emotional life isn’t easy work. Being vulnerable requires that we trust ourselves enough to do so. The more honest you are with yourself, the more clarity you can bring to all the ways in which you partner with others. Virgo & Virgo Rising

August’s full moon finds you working with greater ease than usual and your health and wellness benefit from it greatly. The softer you can go on your system, the more you seem to accomplish. Find the sweetest ways to get done what would normally make you a little sour.

As the full moon helps you to put the finishing touches on a work project, you get to have a deeper appreciation for all that you have been able to bring, cultivate, or make happen in your professional life. Every little bit of love, kindness, and care that you have shown yourself shows up now in the quality with which you do all that you do.

As the light of the full moon fades, what emerges is a newly fortified drive. Whatever you have been able to let go of, work around, or resolve pays off. The focus is now on moving forward. The courage, ambition, and decisiveness that you are channeling are potent. Use it wisely and innovatively. You don’t have to wait to work your new ideas into the grand scheme of your life and in fact, you shouldn’t. Changes abound in late August and as they do the planets ask you how you can support what is professionally exciting, unexpected, and right on time.

Libra & Libra Rising

The light of the full moon encourages you to open up to the kindness that comes your way. Through good friends and connections, through small acts and grand gestures, through hard times and ordinary ones, life is made better when we routinely recall the sweet nothings that make life add up to sweet somethings. What you routinely acknowledge takes up more space in your life. No matter the other issues at your door, try to make a little time for pursuits that help you focus on the pleasure that your system needs and deserves.

As the light of the full moon fades you are called inward to do some deep digging, reassessment, and resorting of your life, your goals, and the way you use your gifts. Behind the scenes projects demand your time come late August and the first part of September. By the looks of it you’re being given the chance to rewire yourself and/or your life from the inside out. Take it. Don’t worry about what you have to show for your efforts. Right now your job is to focus on getting yourself sorted, sifted, and restructured in the ways that best serve the big picture of your life.

Scorpio & Scorpio Rising

The full moon in Aquarius lights up your inner world. Commenting on the quality of your home base, and the needs you have that aren’t up for negotiation, the full moon asks you to settle into yourself. Give yourself copious amounts of what grounds you, feeds you, and keeps you feeling connected to your inner world.

What success looks like on the outside, and what it feels like on the inside, can be very different. This moment demands that you make room for these extremes. Be tender with the parts of you that need a little extra TLC. Be firm in your commitment to your professional goals. From one side of the coin to the other, this moment makes clear that rooting and rising are of equal necessity.

As the light of the full moon fades, an emphasis is placed on your personal and professional social circles. There’s a need to do, try, or create something new with a group of people. You’ve got access to a point of view that others are ripe and ready for. As you allow yourself the freedom to self-express, you get a better sense of your audience and how to relay your message.

Sagittarius & Sagittarius Rising

Clear communication is key. August’s full moon helps you feel safe enough to say what otherwise might stay stuck in your system. The moment calls for a little vulnerability, a lot of honesty, and a willingness to get to the heart of the matter.

What you need, needs you too. It needs you to claim it unconditionally. It needs you to know it like a lover. It needs you to say its name like you mean it. Life responds with as much passion as we come to it with. Try not to stifle yours.

Your days are holy temples. Each one of them asks you to worship at their altar. The full moon reminds you of your need to reclaim your calendars. Take a look at how you are spending your resources, specifically time and energy. To whatever degree you can sink into the joy of being present. Watch the Sun set and the Moon rise. Watch the fruit ripen on the vine. Watch the details of your life closely, they contain multitudes.

As the light of the full moon fades you’re asked to step more fully into the spotlight. What starts out as a whiff of an idea becomes a full-blown professional course correction by the end of August. Capricorn & Capricorn Rising

The full moon lights up your financial life and feelings about it. It gives you a little tip in the form of a monetary note or an emotional one. The partnerships that are worth working for, with, and towards come into focus. The full moon helps you get to the heart of an issue that pertains to the quality of your collaborations. Pay attention to any old feelings of self-worth, lack, or fear that come up to be healed. You are not what you feel, but you are the result of what you do with your feelings.

Ignoring them isn’t a sustainable strategy.

It’s time to outgrow outdated ideas about your resources and how you make a living. How is this moment encouraging you to pursue what is right for you?

As the light of the full moon fades, your desire to travel and explore comes to the fore. You need invigorating excursions. Seek out the adventures that challenge you to think in new ways and explore the philosophies that thrill your soul.

Aquarius & Aquarius Rising

The full moon casts its gentle light upon you, highlighting the partnerships that propel your life forward. It’s not just driving what gets us where we need to go. The kindness, the care, and the love that we receive from others act not only as a protection against the world’s hostility but also a real reason to get up every day and make the messes of life into monuments.

Taking a moment to acknowledge the nourishment you get goes an incredibly long way toward maintaining the relationships that matter most to you. Use the light of the full moon to reflect back to others how much they mean to you. This moment aims to help you get to the heart of an intimacy issue. Investigate any resistance you have to be known, held, or loved like you deserve to be.

As the moonlight fades, what comes forth is a need to innovate the ways in which you collaborate. Some of the resource-sharing in your life needs to be reworked, changed, or updated. This is a theme that follows you throughout the last half of August, and while some of the shifts come from the outside in, the real work for you is around trusting the new direction things are flowing in. A change of mind is the only way to ensure long-lasting change over time.

Pisces & Pisces Rising

August’s full moon celebrates all that you have gotten done behind the scenes. Your ability to be generative within the creative incubators of your life makes all the difference when your work is finally ready to be delivered to the masses. The depth of attention, care, and consideration you are able to give all that you conceive of shows up in every detail, color, and curve of your creations. Even if it never ends up in the final product, no ounce of thoughtfulness ever goes to waste. Each struggle, each decision, each attempt is woven into the fabric of its being.

Trusting the process makes the art of your life that much richer.

The full moon also asks you to reflect on the ways in which you have learned to take care of yourself lately. What have you come to understand is an absolute for you? What do you now know you shouldn’t go without? Under the light of this lunation, how can you commit to being consistent with what keeps you on track and close to joy?

After the full moon blooms, the focus turns towards your relationships. Creative ways of being in professional, romantic, and platonic partnerships spark your curiosity and ingenuity. There’s a feeling of renewal here, and the innovative energy that comes into your life through others is amplified. Not all change is easy, but these changes aim to help you shift things in ways that affirm, rather than disrupt, your life’s unfolding.
