The full moon in Aquarius brings perspective. Sitting directly across from Venus and the Sun, conjunct in Leo, this full moon has a privileged view. 

Venus (love, desire, pleasure, and connection) conjunct the Sun (sense of self, personality, energy, and vitality) is no insignificant affair. 

As Venus is engulfed in the Sun’s purifying fires, it is said to be in the heart of it. What gets burned away is hopefully a little of the fear that surrounds so many of our emotional systems. Feeling unworthy of love is a distortion so many of us carry. Feeling unfit to love another fuels so many of our interpersonal issues. 

As Venus and the Sun help us feel the impacts of some of these storylines, the full moon in Aquarius offers us a much-needed perspective on how to overcome these misunderstandings. Aquarius is a cool-headed, even-tempered air sign, who values a fair assessment of a situation above all else. Not one to get embroiled in emotional ups and downs, Aquarius prefers to sit a little further from the stage so it can take in all the characters of a play fairly and accurately. Being able to witness, but not be fully enmeshed in, our emotional process is what makes healing possible. It aids in our ability to allow more love, affection, and connection into our lives – exactly what Venus is after.   

Given the right conditions, intimacy comes with great ease and sweetness. All of nature knows how to connect to what it wants. Nothing in the wild feels any way about sending out its mating call. Beyoncé Season starts out with energy, excitement, and creative ingenuity. Virgo needs to work, sort, and sift through life’s debris regularly. It is imperative to its well-being. As the planets leave the heat and intensity of Leo, they ask us what we can do to utilize the tools we have at hand while in Virgo. As Mars, Venus, the sun and soon Mercury enter this earth sign, they quickly form a trine to Uranus, the planet of change.

As the cosmic lovers unite, they do so productively. In Virgo, Venus and Mars aim for a perfect union, one that works as hard as it loves. Just after Venus and Mars unite, the two go on to receive an update from Uranus. A little disruptive and a lot innovative, Venus trine Uranus takes our industriousness to a whole new level. Our creative projects benefit greatly when we dare to break free from the confines of mediocrity.

Overview

The August 14th Sun/Venus conjunction illuminates a bright, favourable development. What you want/love in the areas of money, relationships or self-esteem will be dramatic, bold and on display for all to see. This is a golden, creative opportunity that will be part of the August 15th Full Moon in Aquarius – watch for a sudden burst of love, pride or inspiration that reveals something excellent. In some cases, this Full Moon’s ending can disrupt what you love or want, but ultimate liberation will be the result. 

Having said this, the Full Moon will square Vesta (focus) in Venus-ruled Taurus, indicating that developments will illuminate tension around security issues or your devotion to set habits. 

Mercury in Leo trines Chiron Rx in Aries on August 15th and squares Uranus Rx in Taurus on August 16th. Words/ideas will be loud and jarring, but this may be necessary in order to verbalize what hurts or address vulnerabilities.

Intuitive Astrology: Jupiter Aligns with the Great Attractor ~ August 10, 2019

Our Universe remains very much a mystery. There is still so much to explore, so much to see, and so much to understand.

In the 1970s, scientists discovered that remarkably, our galaxy was being pulled towards a specific point in the Universe. This point has been called the Great Attractor.

Scientists are still trying to figure out how and why we are heading towards this Great Attractor. While they have tried to look into what the Great Attractor holds, it lies on the other side of the Milky Way, making it very difficult to see what is there.

What they have found so far is that the Great Attractor holds the mass of over 1,000 trillion Suns and our Solar System is hurtling towards it at a speed of 2.2 million kilometers per hour. Yep, 2.2 million! Think of that the next time you feel stuck in the same place!

Here’s some good info from UniverseToday.com–

“Our galaxy and other nearby galaxies are being pulled toward a specific region of space. It’s about 150 million light-years away, and here is the best part. We’re not exactly sure what it is. We call it the Great Attractor….. We can see how our galaxy and other nearby galaxies are moving toward the great attractor, so something must be causing things to go in that direction. That means either there must be something massive over there, or it’s due to something even more strange and fantastic.”

In astrology, the Great Attractor is located at 14 degrees of Sagittarius, but as its discovery is relatively new, the significance behind it is still emerging.

Phillip Sedgwick is the leading astrologer when it comes to understanding the Great Attractor. You can read his full write up, but here is an excerpt-

“People born with the Sun, Moon, ascendant or another important planet close to, or aspecting, this point will often find that they have a polarizing effect on people around them, making unusually close friends and intense enemies as well. They can give the impression that they hold the key to the mystery of the universe, correctly or not. The perception is that people on the Great Attractor have unusual appeal or potency. They find themselves in vast circles, accidentally. Or they have impacted masses of people and think they have created no influence in their lives whatsoever.”

From Sedgwick’s work and my own intuitive feelings, here is what the Great Attractor may represent-

  • We are all magnetic beings with the ability to pull things towards us and be pulled by things too
  • Fate vs. free will: we are moving to a point we have no control over and yet we still feel free to make choices
  • All things lead here, so perhaps this is a clue as to our purpose and our reason for being- we are all being led to it whether we realize it or not
  • We can’t see it but we know we are moving towards it- kind of like death or change
  • Located out of sight on the other side of the Milky Way as a symbol for a new truth emerging or a greater truth to be revealed

While this is just the tip of the iceberg, it can help us to begin to understand what the Great Attractor may symbolize or represent.

Those born from December 6th-8th or those with the Moon, Rising Sign or other planets on the Great Attractor may also resonate with some of the above points.

So, where does that leave Jupiter?

Jupiter has been retrograde since April 10, 2019, and will station direct on August 11, 2019, at exactly 14 degrees of Sagittarius, the home of the GA.

This is going to amplify the energy of already expansive Jupiter and help us to receive energies and understand the GA with more clarity.

Just reading this very article brings more awareness that there is this huge gravitational force in the Universe that is pulling us towards something.

As Jupiter stations direct on the GA, we may also find ourselves asking the same question- Where do we feel pulled? Where do we feel we are heading?

Sedgwick shares that in the past, when Jupiter Retrograde was active over the GA, the Titanic sunk. It was the ship that wasn’t supposed to sink, but it did, creating doubt and questions in the minds of the people.

A deeper questioning of the truth was stirred and perhaps that is what we will find as Jupiter moves across this sensitive point in the cosmic skies in 2019.

Because this energy is Galactic, there is also an element of needing to shift out of our own reality in order to understand it.

We definitely don’t feel like we are moving at millions of kilometers per hour and yet we are. So, what is reality really? It can’t just be what we can rationalize with our five senses, it has to be more.

Many great spiritualists and quantum physicists have always felt that this Universe is just a hologram and we are living in a type of matrix controlled by our unity consciousness.

We are all co-creators building reality together by what we think, act, feel, and do. We are all threads in the same tapestry, weaving together in order to make the whole.

If you think about the word, “Great Attractor” it also reminds us of our own individual power to attract things to us using our vibration and our own individual magnetism.

When we vibrate higher we change our reality but that doesn’t mean we are still not part of the tapestry and not part of the same creation.

We are in this together, all of us. It is just that by raising our vibration we can see that there is so much more, we can shift our perspective and understand the journey from a more loving point of view.

Jupiter is the most expansive planet in our Solar System, and especially as it stations direct right over the GA, we are going to really be able to feel into the magnetism and mystery of our cosmic world.

The Great Attractor is where we are heading, whether we realize it or not, but it is definitely not the end of the road and not the end of the story.

There is so much out there that we still don’t know about our lives, our Universe, and what we are all doing here.

Jupiter going over the GA from August 11-29, will help us to think bigger, wider, and more abundantly.

During this window, think about your own power and ability to attract and manifest whatever you think and feel into your own life.

PS. On November 19-23, 2019 Jupiter will also pass over another sensitive point in our Universe known as the Galactic Center. While it’s not as powerful as the GA, it will help to amplify the energies of Jupiter and will be another good time for manifestation and attraction work.

The Full Moon on August 15th falls in the sign of Aquarius and is going be shedding a light on what we can do to serve each other.

Aquarius is the sign of the humanitarian and is represented by a woman carrying a jug of water. The woman symbolizes the healer in us all and the water symbolizes the heavy emotions, the pain, and the suffering of the world.

As the water bearer, Aquarius has the natural gift and ability to take these heavy emotions and transform them into something lighter. She doesn’t absorb the water or take it on as a part of her, she is an air sign, and uses her higher mind, her search for the truth in order to transform and cleanse the water before returning it to the Earth.

All of us have Aquarian energy within us, and on this Full Moon, we are going to be guided to bring healing, lightness, and love to the world.

One of the biggest hurdles on the path to enlightenment or higher consciousness is the suffering of the world. 

How can we be truly happy and a beacon of love when there is so much pain and suffering in the world? How can we live in this bubble of love and light when there is war, terror, and famine happening every minute of every day? 

These are common questions and good ones too, as the reality is – When someone else suffers, so too do we. This is because we are all connected, we are all one.

However, just as we feel everyone’s suffering whether we realize it or not, we also feel everyone’s love too. When someone loves so too do we, and herein lies our power to change the world. 

You are only one person, so it is perhaps an impossible task to go out there and house all the homeless, feed all the hungry, and speak out to end every war. Of course, there are organizations you can support and volunteer positions you can take up, but right now, right from where you are sitting, you can become your very own water bearer, simply by choosing to love.

Try it – think about someone or a group of people you would like to send love to. You can choose to send love to – every grieving mother, every person affected by a recent natural disaster, or someone you know that is going through a hard time.

Close your eyes and quietly repeat to yourself three times- “I send love to…..”

Feel the words as you say them, feel yourself sending out the love, and know that you just created a ripple that will be felt all over the world. 

While sending love and praying for peace is powerful it is far more powerful to act with love and to be at peace.

This Aquarius Full Moon whispers the words of the humanitarian Gandhi- “be the change you wish to see in the world.”

This theory of starting with yourself is also something shared by many great humanitarians. Mother Theresa once said- “if you want to change the world go home and love your family.”

It was her belief that everyone can start making a difference in the world by starting with their own family.

The famous poet Rumi also shared- “yesterday I was clever so I wanted to change the world, today I am wise so I am changing myself.”

It all begins with the individual for when you take care of your own needs, when you start loving yourself, it creates a ripple and that ripple flowing from each and every one of us is what will change the world. All you have to do is be responsible for your own ripple.

It is also worth remembering, that one of the greatest gifts of the water bearer is her ability to carry the water without bearing the burden of it. She doesn’t allow herself to get absorbed by the dark emotions she carries, instead she uses her Air sign qualities to rise above it.

As an air sign, Aquarius is about using her mind, her intellect, and the power of her voice to make a difference. Aquarius is not concerned with what is popular, what is written in the media, or what her friends and family believe.

Aquarius wants to make up its own mind and is always on the search for a bigger truth. The absolute truth. The truth that goes beyond perspective and into a higher place.

Under the energy of this Aquarius Full Moon think about how you can bring these qualities into your life.

How can you send love and healing to create a positive effect on your life and the world? How can you hold your own truth without absorbing and getting stung by the voices of the media or those around you?

Working with your higher mind, venturing into your own truth, and walking a path of love, will help you to learn the ways of the water bearer.

We have enough love to go around for everyone, so on this Aquarius Full Moon, which is bathed in light, in compassion, and in truth, start with yourself and then share some of that love around with your family, your friends, your community, your country, and with the world.
