The
September 13-14th Full Moon falls in the sign of Pisces and holds the
potential to be deeply transformative and illuminating.
This year the September Full Moon is also referred to as the Harvest Moon, as it is the last Full Moon before the Equinox.
As
the last Full Moon before the seasons change, this our opportunity to
“harvest” all we can before we enter into the new season. It is also a
time for us to reap the rewards of all we have achieved since the Solstice back in June.
Take
a moment to think back to this point in the year. Who were you then?
Who are you now? What have you learned? How have you changed?
Harvest
Moons are always cleansing, so if there is something you no longer wish
to take with you into the new season, this is the perfect time to
release and let it go.
Falling
in the watery sign of Pisces, this Full Moon is a sensitive one and may
trigger unresolved or unexpressed emotions. We may also feely deeply
sensitive and find it hard to not absorb the emotions of the world
around us.
While this
level of sensitivity can be difficult at times, under this Pisces Full
Moon if we allow these feelings to come and go as visitors, rather than
trying to control them, we may discover that our emotions, whether they
come from us or not, have a message or a lesson for us to appreciate and
learn from.
Pisces
energy also rules over the feet, so if we find ourselves feeling too
emotional or sensitive, grounding exercises such as walking barefoot on
the grass or even taking a moment to acknowledge how our feet hold and
support us may bring some relief.
The September Full Moon is also closely connected to the Jupiter Neptune Square,
which will add to its illumination factor. Around this Full Moon, a new
truth may be revealed or we may discover that something we believed to
be true may not be what it seemed.
No
matter how aware or observant we become, we can never really understand
the full picture. Just like we don’t fully understand the way an atom
works or our body works, we can’t ever truly understand how life works,
and what our purpose is through all of it.
There
is so much more to this life than we know, but not knowing is part of
the adventure, and the more we surrender to the fact that we don’t know,
the more open and curious we can become about the world and our role in
it.
When we believe we know it all, we get rigid and stuck, and we stop ourselves from learning and being open to change.
Beliefs
change, we change, knowledge changes. What we believe about ourselves
today may not be true tomorrow, and being part of this flow and part of
this movement will help to bring ease to any new revelations or truths
that are brought to light under this Pisces Full Moon.
The
symbol for Pisces is two fish swimming in opposite directions. Although
they swim their own separate ways, they work as a team and are
connected through a spiritual cord. Using their intuitive senses, they
can see through each other’s eyes and know what the other is thinking,
feeling, and experiencing.
These two fish symbolize the yin and yang of life but also the pursuit of higher levels of consciousness.
One
fish swims in a downward direction, reminding us to stay rooted and
present in reality but the other swims in an upward direction, reminding
us that there is so much more to life and realms beyond this one.
The
downward swimming fish is our roots, whereas the upward swimming fish
is our higher mind and higher consciousness. While they swim their own
way, they are still connected.
We
need to root ourselves to the Earth and be present in this physical
reality that we live in. But, we also need to remember that this life is
temporary, filled with unknowns, and not entirely what it seems.
Under the light of the Pisces Full Moon, take a moment to think about how you can bring balance to these ideas in your life.
Have
you been too caught up in the physical that you have forgotten the
softer, subtler parts of yourself, your soul, and your life journey? Or
have you been too caught up in the spiritual that you have forgotten
about your tasks here in this physical world?
We
are not our bodies, we are not our minds, we are not our thoughts or
the experiences that happen to us. We are so much greater than this, and
this is what Pisces energy reminds us of.
It
reminds us that we are more than we can see and while living in this 3D
world is part of our process, it doesn’t mean we can’t have our feet on
the ground and our head in the clouds, pursuing our own spiritual
knowledge and reaching higher levels of awareness.
Under
this Full Moon, we may also feel called to connect with our intuition
and deepen our spiritual practice. If you have wanted to meditate or do
some ritual work (ritual coming soon!) this will be the perfect time to
do so.
Overall, the September Full Moon is set to bring new truths to the surface or bring old beliefs crashing to the floor.
It
may stir emotions or trigger feelings that need to be expressed and
released. It may also guide us to venture into higher states of
consciousness and to deepen our spiritual gifts.
It is a heavy Full Moon that may also bring closure as we wrap up the events of the season and prepare to enter into a new one.
The
best way to navigate through this Full Moon is to be open to new
information and to remember that life is a constant journey of learning.
Even
when we think we have it all figured out, life comes along and shows us
we still have more to go. This is not a shortcoming of our own but
rather the process and adventure that life brings.
If
we remain humble and open to the lessons on offer, when we do make that
final change from this reality to the next, we will be able to do so
knowing we lived, we felt, and we loved to the fullest.

Watch as September starts a domino chain
of unstoppable events. If you didn’t get the message at last Friday’s
Virgo Super New Moon, it will be impossible to avoid it now. So what was
it again?

The time-lines have switched and will

Venus
and Mars will align in the sky on August 24, 2019, at 4 degrees of
Virgo, shining down creativity and activating soulmate and twin flame
contracts.
While they come together on August 24, we are going to feel this energy for about a week on either side of this date.
Venus
represents sacred feminine energy. This energy goes beyond gender and
lives within all of us and all of nature. It is represented by wavy
lines, running water, and the process of flowing. It is that intuitive
whisper, that tear trickling down the cheek, that open heart, and the
wanderer’s journey. It is a cool breeze, the sound of rain, the Moon,
and the dark night sky.
Mars
represents sacred masculine energy. This energy also goes beyond gender
and lives with all of us and all of nature. It is represented by
straight lines, still water, and the process of scheduling and
organizing. It is our rational mind, the ability to speak our truth, and
the stability and security we need to survive this 3D world. It is the
warm Sun, the bright blue sky, and the feeling of accomplishment as we
close our eyes at the end of the day.
Feminine and Masculine energy work hand in hand. They are the yin and the yang of life and we need both to feel balanced.
Mars
and Venus are always with us, but when they come together, we
experience a rebirth of their energies and a new awakening of both the
feminine and masculine energies within us.
With
this awakening, it is going to help us shift our attitudes towards our
sexuality, our relationships, our creativity, and the feminine and
masculine principles within.
Venus
and Mars meet every two years or so, but the last time they aligned in
Virgo was back in November 2015. You can look back to this time to see

We may encounter a soulmate or twin flame.

We may experience spiritual awakenings that are inspired or triggered by a romantic partner.

Someone significant may exit our lives as a signal that it’s time for us to start a new chapter.
We may gain insights or confirmation on the soulmates or twin flames in our lives.
Soulmate or twin flame wounds may emerge for healing.
More soulmates and twin flames will awaken and arrive on Earth.
The definition of soulmates and twin flames may also evolve and new insights on these special souls may come forward.
Venus
and Mars aligning in the sign of Virgo is also going to activate our
creative spark and give us a boost of motivation when it comes to
kickstarting or completing any projects.
Venus and Mars aligning at 4 degrees of Virgo is also significant in its own way.
The Sabian Symbol for 4 degrees of Virgo is – “A man dreaming of fairies.” Representing a time to dream, a time of fairytales and fantasy, and a time for us to connect with nature spirits.
Venus
and Mars aligning is the ultimate creative force, but together they are
also playful, much like the nature spirits that surround us.
Nature spirits
oversee the laws of the natural world but they are also known for their
fun, lighthearted, and somewhat mischevious energy. They like to hide
under leaves and behind trees, and are usually attracted to the laughter
of children.
It can
be easy to dismiss the notion of Nature spirits, but you can think of
them as representing the spirit of nature or the elements.
The
next time you are deep in nature and have some quiet time alone, ask
the nature spirits to show themselves to you. See for yourself whether
or not they exist. Who knows what you may encounter!
Venus
and Mars aligning is a time to create, to play, and to merge with the
spirit of nature. It is a time to remember that through all the chaos of
life, and the heartache it contains, Mother Earth is a beautiful,
expansive place with the perfect balance of feminine and masculine
energy contained within.
All
through nature, we can observe the masculine and feminine principles,
the yin and the yang. It is only in our human selves that we have
forgotten the importance of this balance.

Bringing in more Venus/feminine energy:

Take slow, deep breaths
Practice listening to your intuition
Spend time near water
Charge crystals under the Moon
Connect with the phases of the Moon

Read, write poetry, or write fantasy stories
Eat raw foods and limit animal products
Reflect and spend time alone
Disregard lists such as these and just do what you feel
Bringing in more Mars/masculine energy:
Do strength training, aerobics or another vigorous form of exercise
Journal or write letters to get what’s on your mind out on paper
Set plans and make goals
Do some grounding exercises
Charge crystals under the Sun
Spend time hiking or being active in nature
Assert yourself or put yourself out there
Meditate under the Sun (with SPF on of course)
Do puzzles or other word games
Eat warm, spicy foods
Spend time with friends
Adopt a “can do” attitude
Consult lists such as these
Venus
and Mars coming together is a rare treat, and a time of unity. It is
like the sperm fertilizing the egg, the two cosmic lovers coming in for
that fated first kiss, it is the symbol for the yin and yang of the
Universe.
Use this
energy to find your balance, your creativity, and your motivation. Use
it to remind yourself that you too are a spirit of Nature and connected
to the elements around you.
Venus and Mars will next meet in July 2021.

The
Sun moves out of fiery Leo into the earth sign of Virgo on August 23rd,
where it will remain until the September 23rd Equinox.
The Sun loves being in Leo and all through Leo season,
we have been able to receive the full power of the Sun. The Sun
represents the core of who we are. It is our self-esteem, our
self-confidence, and what makes us feel the most like ourselves.
Under the Leo Sun, we have all had the opportunity to get to know ourselves better and to feel proud and confident in our skin.
Now the Sun is departing its ruling sign of Leo and moving into the sign of the virgin.
The
symbolism behind the virgin has largely been misunderstood. When Virgo
was named the sign of the virgin the word had a very different meaning.
Back
in ancient times, being a virgin had nothing to do with sexual
experience and was more about being whole in oneself. It represented
this idea of belonging to yourself and not having to be accountable or
in alliance with another.
In
Ancient Greek mythology and before patriarchal religions were
practiced, there were virgin goddesses liked Virgo, who carried out
sacred duties. They didn’t need to partner up with another and they
definitely didn’t fit the contemporary definition of the word “virgin”.
So,
when we think about the symbol for Virgo being the virgin, we have to
remember that is it about feeling whole and complete in yourself. It
represents the freedom that comes when you feel confident and grounded
in who you are and where you are heading.
After
dancing under the Leo Sun, the Virgin knows who she is. She knows what
she must do, she knows her strengths, her weaknesses, and her power, and
she is sent to deliver them to us as the Sun moves through her.
We
don’t need another person to make us whole, we don’t need more things,
more money, more stuff, more success, instead we just need to know
ourselves, love ourselves, and remember that everything we need already
lives inside.
Under
the Virgo Sun, ask yourself- What can I do to return to my wholeness?
What can I do to feel more complete and whole within myself?
You may also have to ask yourself what things are not supporting your wholeness and see where changes need to be made.
You are whole and perfect just as you are, and the moment you start believing that, your life will start reflecting it too.
The
Sun leaves Virgo on the Equinox where it moves into Libra, signaling a
turning point in the astrological year and the start of either Spring or
Autumn.
As the Sun
moves through Virgo, this is our last chance to work with the energies
of the Summer/Winter period we are in. We may feel the need to wrap up
projects, get our routines in order, or perhaps pay more attention to
our health and wellbeing.
As
the Equinox approaches, we may also start feeling a need to accomplish
more or get more done before the calendar year is through.
If
you are looking to start or finish off a project, know that the Virgo
Sun will lend its support by giving you the right work ethic and
attention to detail to get the job done.
One
thing we have to be mindful of under Virgo energy is to not be so hard
or critical of ourselves. We need to remember that striving for
perfection can sometimes be our own worst enemy and can block us from
taking action.
Virgo
also rules over the digestive system, so we may have to pay attention to
the food we are eating and how our body is responding to it. We may
also have to think on about our digestion on an energetic level too.
What
emotions or changes are we having a hard time digesting? What do we
need to detoxify and release? What do we need to start bringing into our
lives in order to gain more “nutrients”?
While
we will all be living under the Virgo Sun, each of us will feel the
energies differently depending on where we are at in our lives, so stay
open to what calls to you during this Season.
During
Virgo Season 2019, we also have the fated meeting of Venus and Mars
which peaks on August 24th. Venus and Mars aligning is a rare event and
will send beams of heightened creativity to Earth.
Venus
and Mars are the two cosmic lovers and typically their meeting helps to
activate soulmate and twin flame contracts, but as they align this year
under Virgo, we also have to remember the symbolism of the virgin.
We
are whole within ourselves, and while it is great to have a soulmate or
twin flame, it still doesn’t change the importance of finding a sense
of independence and completion in oneself.
Virgo
Season 2019 also brings Saturn moving direct on September 18th, which
will be aiding us in our efforts to get grounded and to work on
completing those projects before the year’s end.
So,
as we move through Virgo Season 2019, think about returning to
wholeness. Think about how you can embody the virgin, this strong,
independent, forward-thinker that knows it is powerful, that knows it
can do anything.
