The July 2019 new moon also joins two stars called the Ascelli, in Constellation Cancer the Crab. Their aggressive and impatience influence stresses the importance of being patient and cooperative during this challenging moon phase.

An eye for fashion and beauty makes this a good time for shopping, decorating, and makeovers. However, Venus can give a tendency toward vanity, laziness, and overindulgence. Take care if using your credit card because of a tendency to spend based on emotional reactions rather than common sense.

New Moon square Uranus brings unexpected change, uncertainty, anxiety, and tension. This can lead to unpredictable behavior, rebelliousness, abruptness, rapid changes in direction and even accidents.

The best way to handle this impulsive energy is to be proactive about positive change with open-mindedness and flexibility. A change could lead to a brave new path which opens your life to many more possibilities and opportunities.

Venus square Uranus can bring a need for freedom and excitement in your love life. This is more likely if you have been feeling smothered, confined or bored. A healthy relationship will face no major drama, especially with an open-minded partner. Experimentation in the bedroom might satisfy your need for increased stimulation.

The more demanding or conservative you partner, the more likely you are to lose your patience or lash out in anger. Such uncertainty and instability in your love could lead to sudden separations, flirting or short-lived affairs.

The star map above shows the July 31 New Moon in Constellation Cancer, between the fixed stars Asellus Borealis and Asellus Australis, the Northern and Southern Donkeys.

The list below shows the new moon closest to Australis, but it has already passed over Borealis which adds to its influence. Robson does give some separate influence but most astrologers treat these two stars as one, the Ascelli.

According to Robson, together, the Ascelli give care and responsibility, with a charitable and fostering nature, but the danger of violent death, serious accidents, and burns. [1]

Ebertin said they cause aggression, lack of caution, brutality, and violence. But that an extraordinary output of achievement is possible if the aggression can be sublimated. [2]

Morse says they give all the moodiness of Cancer Constellation, making people very self-willed, uncooperative, stubborn and impatient. With the Ascelli, cooperation with others is the secret of success in life. [3]

New Moon conjunct the Aselli

With the Sun, the Ascelli cause blows, stabs, serious accidents, shooting, shipwreck, beheading, hanging, murderer or murdered, violent fevers, the danger of fire, disgrace and imprisonment. With the Moon: Inflammatory-fever, pains in the head, blindness. [1]

The Chinese gave this group of stars the name “the spirit of the ancestors” and believed they gave peculiar experiences with the realms of the dead. The same can be said for spiritual seances. [2]

The Ascelli with the Sun gives an intuitive sense which makes one ‘see the possibilities’ where others miss them. With the Moon, the Ascelli take the intuition deeper and will often reveal the poet, painter, musician unusually gifted, composer, psychic ‘medium’ or astrologer. There is also the patience necessary for all really reliable psychism. [3]

Although the new moon is n the Sign of Leo it is in the Constellation of Cancer. In particular, the two Ascelli of the Crabs moodiness but also much needed care and responsibility.

Stationary/Retrograde Pluto: Scary bringer of good news ~ April 20, 2017


Whew! I NEED some good news, don’t you? Well..Carl Boudreaux is bringing me that gift with his latest astrological reading that I found on Starship Earth: The Big Picture. No doubt these are tempestuous times on Earth and I welcome reading Carl’s latest forecast, listed below.

I felt the urge to post a little something about recent vibes.

We are dealing with lots of retrograde stuff and rather than risk confusion and error in my account, I’ll just say ‘check your astrology calendar for the gory details’, lots of retrograde stuff going on: Mercury, Saturn, Jupiter, very recently Venus and now Pluto.

The retrograde I’d like to comment on though is Pluto, stationary/retrograde on Thursday, April 20, 8:46AM New York Time.

I think the overall combination of retrograde motions will add to the complexity, intensity and urgency of the vibes many of us are sensing. The reason I will focus on stationary Pluto is that I think it brings the best and most clear cut of the various astrological events.

Let me cut to the chase. In my experience with stationary Pluto, Pluto always seems to retrograde at precisely the right time to prevent a catastrophe.

It could be, for example, that enemy forces are massing on a contested international border. War is in the air. Also, there are numerous other astrological aspects around that don’t help the situation. They seem to suggest or support war. It seems like open conflict is inevitable.

Or similar, analogous, things could be going on in one’s personal or professional life.

Then, ‘all of a sudden’ Pluto goes stationary/retrograde and the situation suddenly and quickly cools off. By the time Pluto returns to where it was when it stationed, the whole situation has unwound and, instead of being on the brink of open war, the involved parties are in the midst of successful negotiations and it’s hard to remember why everybody got so excited in the first place.

So, in the present context, stationary Pluto was contributing to an intense, high-pressure situation/atmosphere this week – involving urgent and fateful decisions and growing concern. Then it today it went stationary/retrograde. 😄

The vibes prior to and leading up to the Pluto station were serious, no doubt, and might help account for the difficulties I have been seeing and hearing about for more than a week. Blessings and best wishes to all those involved.

But my take would be that as Pluto’s station retreats into the past and the Pluto pressure itself eases up, people will find that things are not as bad as they feared they might get and that there are options – or options will soon develop – that make the situation less dire than it was certainly beginning to look.

Stationary Pluto is no joke and it is associated with some really high pressure, high risk situations. But in difficult times, the Universe rarely seems to want to hit us full on with a stationary Pluto at the worst possible moment. In my experience, stationary Plutos always seem to have serious mitigating effects.

In my younger days, when Pluto stationed in the middle of a hot situation, I always felt like somebody had just canceled a fireworks display. Nowadays, I am very grateful for the compassion of the Universe. A stationary/retrograde Pluto, in my view, is like the opposite of Murphy’s law.

In fact, it is probably a lot closer that any of us who are “awake” would realizeBut, the main point of this article that appeals to me is the fact that since this change is almost here, isn’t it time for the “awakened ones” to create the change we want? As Sophia says… WE ARE CREATING THIS AND OUR COMBINED ENERGY IS UNSTOPPABLE.

Some moments are like long, stretched out rubber bands.  You know the ones?  They are poised at their limit, pulled within a hair’s breadth of their breaking point; the slightest movement and they’ll “SNAP”!!!

One of my sons was terrified of the book you see pictured here (“How far will a rubber band stretch”); he couldn’t stand the tension ‘til the BOING!!!

The funny thing was, he’d ask for it every night.  (Spoiler alert!!) In the story, the last place the little boy reaches is the moon.  As he steps off the rocket, the BOING snaps him and the rubber band right back to his room.

This is such a rubber band moment and it’s stretched much further than any of us imagined we were capable of.  We are on the moon and about to step on lunar ground, our rubber band held firmly in our hands.  We can feel the tension in not just our hands, but our entire bodies.  We KNOW IT’S GOING TO BREAK.

We could mimic my son, and wrap ourselves in covers, hiding our eyes until it’s over.  Or, we could remember that (also like my son), we asked for this story because we love the thrill, the tension and the BOING!!!  It’s sort of an addiction.

Although thrills are great, let’s let this rubber band snap and see where else we can create them (the thrills). The suggestion here is, like my son, this tension filled game is so fun for us, (especially now at the “almost ready to snap” part), that we are unwittingly keeping it going.  How?  With our focus.

As we focus, watch, listen to and talk about the tension, it perpetuates.  As we focus on, dream, write about, discuss and expect this shift, it accelerates.

It’s a challenge to take our eyes off of the corruption, revelations and drama and instead see the world that is possible without them.  Yet THIS IS PRECISELY WHY WE ARE HERE.  We have to remind ourselves just how creation works.  For, WE ARE CREATING THIS AND OUR COMBINED ENERGY IS UNSTOPPABLE.

What we intend, believe and focus on is what we create.  It’s tempting now, with news streaming in every day that validates what we’ve always known, to rest on our laurels and nod knowingly, while saying “See?  I wasn’t crazy/mistaken/imagining this.  I told you about this years ago.”  Tempting maybe, yet not productive.

Just as you knew long ago about the slavery, corruption and secrets – you know what’s next.  Keep looking ahead.  These news reports and revelations are to wake up the masses.  You are awake already.  It’s time to move on to the next part.

There are no “revelations” about this next part because we are writing that story right now.  It’s in our dreams and visions of an un-shackled populace and a multi-dimensional existence.

This is not a call to place your head in the sand.  It’s a call to remain aware of where you are directing your light. Keep looking ahead and telling the story of what you see. The power of your energy is exponential.  Use it.  This is why you came here now.

When this rubber band snaps, and we are all thrown someplace else?  It’ll be to the place we are building now.  A foundation of love with bricks of dreams held together with your brilliant light – this is Home Sweet Home.

We are Master Builders.  Let’s create.  We are the ones we’ve been waiting for.
