Full Moon In Pisces Eclipse/Square Mars-Energy Report ~ September 16, 2016

With these influences in play at this time physical energy is null. Some may have found it difficult to keep their eyes open today/now, or found you needed to go to bed earlier last night in order to gain 12-14 hours of rest for integration of the last major solar cosmic wave that rippled through the collective on the 12th.

It seems patience and tolerance is waning more each day leading up to the full moon. Anger is rising to the surface and being directed at our closet relationships. All those little, annoying things others do that you used to let slide by are suddenly amplified to the point of zero tolerance, thanks to this full moon in Pisces square Mars. Least we not forget Mercury is still in Retrograde which is adding to challenging communication.

Many are hitting a brick wall at this time in their professional and personal lives. Doors are slamming shut which once deceivingly looked wide open. Ecplise Energies bring a screeching halt and slam doors shut to allow further introspection on important actions and relationships in our lives. If you are experiencing this currently, it’s time to take a step back and re-assess.

Being that this full moon is in Pisces and the ruling planet over Pisces is Neptune you can expect your intuition to be highlighted, your psychic abilities to intensify, and your dreams to be vivid and lucid.

This square Mars puts all relationships to the test with nitpicking here and there, annoying behaviors not being tolerated, others negative aspects being brought out for re-examining. Immaturity, crying and feet stomping would not be out of the realm if this energy is not accepted for its positive Venus/Uranus ties. In other words, the choice is ours to allow Mars which rules over Aries, or Venus which rules over Libra to lead us through these intense ecplictic energies. Aries will feel the fire of this square to keep tempers from flaring, and Libra will lend to love and balance and peaceful interactions. However, Libra will find it challenging to harness “nervous energies” felt now in a productive manner through creativity. If not careful, Libra can go the opposite direction with negative polarity within these energies. Pisces will feel it all and Leo will need to keep anger in check with Empathy and tolerance. Oh and Gemini ruled by Mercury, well they seem to be tolerating these energies better than the other signs with a hop, skip and a jump in their step and big, positive smiles on their faces ready for BIG FUN! By the time we are in the midst of this ecplictic volcano, balance in all areas of life will come into play, introspection on all will bring the clarity needed. Relationship lessons are also brought to the forefront, not only in this lifetime, but past lifetimes as well. Those from the past begin to resurface now for karmic healing and clearing. The past fear and guilt experienced within these relationships are to be cleared now to allow your new doors to swing back open after the Fall Solstice. These will be different from the ones which slammed shut. This will encourage many to step easily outside one’s comfort zone without the fear and anxiety that once held them back, if the work this energy prompts is utilized productively.

Solar activity is expected to remain low throughout this weekend. This allowing our full energetic focus to be on the moon and planetary aspects, prompting a major karmic clearing, introspection, life lessons learned and old karmic patterns to be SHIFTED from the old and outdated to the new and exciting! Many layers of old, dense energies can be healed and released during this time from blocked chakras.
This will bring on the urge to sleep more, rest and be alone to recharge. Physical pains in the shoulders and neck will be experienced as the weight of the burdens begin to lift. The lower root chakra and sacral chakra also finally feel a release from the fear and guilt of the Solar Ecplise on the 1st that brought this energy in. Harness this energy in focused creativity, music, art, grounding, meditation to bring you through the other side better than when you went in.

Happy September, New Moon, & Solar Eclipse!

I spent the New Moon in ceremony with Priestess Sisters. We gathered around a fire at our cabin in the mountains and created ritual for ourselves and our loved ones and the planet. We consciously made the decision to utilize this gateway opportunity of the Solar Eclipse (and everything else!) to jump through some accelerated vibrational hoops. As we sat together in meditation and sharing, the fire blazed, the sky turned dark and billions of stars began to dance. I sat in deep gratitude for these women, the ancient mountains, the changing planet, and sharing life at this moment in our perceived time and space.

September will be, by many accounts, a month of great change; a culmination. It is not a month to lose focus or to drift on automatic pilot. Our bodies are catching up this month with some big shifts that have already taken place energetically. An open heart is needed and, as most of us have been learning for awhile, surrendering to “what is.”  Many believe we will be living in a very different world before long. Many feel they already are.

My friend Tara recently talked about a personal experience that also resonated with me. A few short years ago, she remembers practicing the art of gratitude. She would catch herself during the day and shift her thoughts to things for which she was thankful. It was challenging sometimes, impossible at other times, but she kept at it. It occurred to her that she now lives gratitude in every moment. It’s a concept she has mastered. It is who she is and she is grateful for what she previously would have labeled both good and bad and the truth that it brings out in her and others. She is unattached to the old patterns and beliefs of this world and deeply rooted in presence. This is a huge shift at a core level that has changed her world.

Super ‘Blood Moon’ Total Lunar Eclipse in Aries: A Major Evolutionary Push In Relationships ~ Sept. 27, 2015

We will be having a Total Lunar Eclipse on the night of September 27th/28th which will be visible from most of North America, all of South America, Europe, Western Asia, and Africa. The entire process of the eclipse will last over 3 hours, with the period of totality lasting 72 minutes. The peak of the eclipse will be at 2:50am Universal Time (Click here for your time zone).

This total eclipse is a SuperMoon, which is when it is at a closer point to the earth. It is also the 4th and final “Blood Moon” of a series of 4 consecutive total lunar eclipses over the last 1.5 years. The themes and circumstances in our lives at this time are connected to what was developing during the earlier total eclipses, especially the previous one that was in early April.

A Lunar Eclipse is a super-charged Full Moon. Its effects are most strongly felt in the week leading up to it and the weeks following, but are played out over the following 3-6 months. Lunar Eclipses are times of major shifts which bring endings to certain aspects of our lives, in preparation for new beginnings. They always happen either 2 weeks before and/or after a Solar Eclipse, and have overlapping themes with each other. (Click here to read my article for the Solar Eclipse two weeks prior to this).

Lunar Eclipse in Aries Opposite Sun and North Node in Libra

aries-libra-2We have been experiencing lunar eclipses in the Aries-Libra axis since October 18th 2013, roughly every 6 months. This will be the last and most powerful one. The Aries-Libra axis represents the polarity between the individual self and relationships. Aries is independent and bold, and makes decisions based on its own best interests. Libra is codependent and always considerate of relationships in its actions. It is the sign of partnerships, fairness, and equality.

During this lunar eclipse, we are involved in a tug-of-war between these two signs. The North Node is on the Libra side of the fence, which emphasizes the challenge to be balanced, fair, equal, and considerate of our relationships when we act on our own interests. It is about moving forward in new ways that serve the evolution of our soul.

Mercury Retrograde in Libra Conjunct the Sun

Mercury has been retrograde in Libra since September 17th and will be until October 9th. This really emphasizes the need to be  reflective and flow with what is being presented to you in order to make the right choices and changes in your life. It is not the best idea to make any major decisions or force anything in your life until after Mercury retrograde is over, sometime after October 9th when there will be more clarity.

Mercury is also associated with communication and we can experience circumstances that push us to change how we communicate in our relationships. (Click here to read my article on this Mercury retrograde).

This Eclipse and Mercury Retrograde are Square Pluto in Capricorn

Pluto is associated with fears, power and control. It also represents transformative powers and things that are hidden. Over the previous and next few weeks we may have or will experience these Plutonian circumstances in a way that challenges us, yet will be instrumental in influencing how we proceed forward. With Pluto we can use our own power to disempower and manipulate others, or we can use it to empower ourselves in an equal way as Libra suggests.

Capricorn is also associated with work/career, ambition, and the structures in our lives. The challenges we are facing could be associated with the new transformations, or developing transformations, in these areas. The last Solar Eclipse that was in Virgo really emphasizes a potential shifting in our work and duties which is still a strong theme for us.

Saturn is Trine the Moon and Square Aries Ruler Mars

With Mars in Virgo square Saturn, in combination with Mercury retrograde, we may experience challenges, delays, and restrictions in taking action and completing tasks. Saturn in Sagittarius is about restructuring our perspectives and beliefs, and the trine it makes to the Moon in Aries shows that it is beneficial to our invidiual needs.

As mentioned above, the Solar Eclipse is bringing shifts and new beginnings around our work and duties, but it’s still not the best time to push forward  with full force on anything until after October 9th. Any tasks and work that we take on now should be associated with what has been put in place prior to September 17th.

Things To Do For This Lunar Eclipse

As mentioned above, it is best not to force or push anything in your life. Reflect on and consider what is the best course of action in a way that serves your individual needs, yet is also fair and considerate of your
relationships. Circumstances, challenges, and/or new understandings will still arise which will help us define how to proceed forward post October 9th.

If you are in North or South America, Europe, Western Asia, or Africa, you will be able to see the eclipse under clear skies, so be sure to check it out if you can. Remember, the entire process of the eclipse will last over 3 hours, with the period of totality lasting 72 minutes. Fall Equinox, Blood Moon, Lunar Eclipse: What It All Means For You ~ Sept. 24, 2015

Equinox: Wednesday September 23rd

Aries Full Moon/Eclipse: Sunday September 27th (full moon at 9/27 @ 11:52 pm PDT)

If I had to pick a theme for these three powerful events, it would be:

You are not alone.

It seems that way sometimes, doesn’t it? That you really are in this by yourself. Especially when things get hard and messy, as they sometimes do. Aries is the warrior of the zodiac. She is the first of the signs, triumphing light over dark, as she carries the banner of winter ending and spring beginning.

In her full moon form, always appearing close to the Autumnal equinox, she is less comfortable. The light is diminishing, and with the fourth and final of a total lunar eclipse tetrad, her fire will be completely put out.. or at least, it will appear that way.

Aries is fierce, independent and insatiable in her desire. Ruled by Mars and cardinal fire, she is the heat in our bellies that stirs us to action, to laughter and to rage. She is the leader and she loves that role. I carry her as my moon sign and I can tell you, the moon is a hard place for the hot-tempered ram. The moon requests our softening to the mystery, our syncing with others and the cycles of life. Lunar energy is receptive, for the moon does not make her own light, she merely reflects the sun back at us, and is always half hidden herself. When Aries wears her moon cloak, she is forced to slow down, she is forced to flow, rather than burn, and she is beckoned to look deeper than her usual shallow yet intense pursuit of passion in the moment.

This full moon eclipse has a lot of people nervous. It is a final curtain of an energetic initiation and it is completing in the sign of powerful new beginnings. Our culture is so Mars dominated, anyway, our selfish obsessions with power, competition and prestige coming to a head over a planet in desperate need of healing and millions of beings trying to make a stand for a new way of living. Some might say the time of Aries is past, that we need to shift our collective consciousness and they are afraid the old way will not go out without a fight; after all, it IS Aries. But Aries is not all self-centered victory. Especially as the Moon. She is a mother who wants to protect her family. She is a seeker of truth. She is youth and youth can grow up.

What better time to stand at this cross roads between immature wants and wisdom needs? Between the ego and it’s designs and the collective conscious and it’s evolution than Autumn Equinox, falling just days before the eclipse.

Equinox calls us into community, into our center. It asks for a pause to reflect, to find gratitude, rather than regret or lack and to fill ourselves and our families with light before the earth turns her other cheek towards the sun.

At this pivotal moment on one of the most intense days of the year, my intent for the Aries full moon is to challenge the mighty ram to take one more big, fiery summer breath and then go deep into the darkness as though falling into an embrace. She does not have to lead the fight. She does not have to fight back. She does not have to fight at all. We do not have to fight at all — and we are not alone.

Harness the fire of the night in celebration, ritual,  revelry. Come together to laugh and share in the gratitude of the moment. Autumn Equinox is on Wednesday, the full moon is on Sunday. Make this a week of sacred community. Call forth your loved ones, your like-minded warriors. Gather in person, in dreams, on the phone, over Skype, or in meditation.

We do not have to wield a sword aimlessly toward the eclipse-blackened sky. We do not have to hide and shield ourselves from the unseen foes and fears that plague our hearts or minds. We can hold hands and circle closely. There is power in numbers. There is magic in celebration. Even if you feel like you are by yourself, that no one could help or understand, I challenge you to try. Big changes keep coming, time is moving so fast now. You do not have to do it by yourself. Aries only thinks she is better off alone. But I have seen her face in ritual and she lights up in a way no battle lust can touch.

Please remember, you are not alone. Not on this full moon, not ever. Warriors are stronger when they move together toward a common dream, when they are equal and protecting what they care for. Come together and dance. Come together and pray. Come together and breathe the light of love, despite the darkness.
