The latest information from the Big Island on Sunday, June 3. Now the southern and western portion of the Kilauea are is involved as opposed to the easterly lava flow. Stay tuned and keep folks in Hawaii in your thoughts and prayers. Thank goodness no lives have yet been lost!

Kilauea Eruption 5-21-18… “Where it’s Going in” (and a few videos)…May 21, 2018


This is a kind of “video report” from our spiritual friend, Kp who lives on the Big Island in Hawaii at Kaluia-Kona (on the est side of the island, no where near any type of volcanic action).

I sent this to a few people yesterday, but wanted to share it here as well.

Here’s a map I just snapped to the address I saw on a mailbox in the first video. That’s one place where the lava has flowed over the road (Kalapana Rd, Hwy 137) and now is going into the ocean. I have been down this road several times in my life here and it is very lush and beautiful. There is a well known black and beach and a surf spot nearby.

I’ve also often driven down 130 to the bottom, where there is relatively new, very black lava. I have walked on that lava and enjoyed the view.

These are BIG changes for all who live here right now, but we allow Pele to do her new creation magic. It is extremely beautiful to see this new creation, and the foundations for the Nova Gaia being laid!

The first video has the mailbox number on it, the last one has Shane Victorino, a local MLB player who is from Hawaii. Watch for the flying lava rocks in that one!!

Hawaii Eruption: New Lava Arrives, Activity Increases (May 18, 2018) ~ May 19, 2018


This is a question/answer between various reporters (some by phone) given to USGS personnel about the on-going volcanic event on the Big Island of Hawaii. Information regarding the erosion of of the south part of Kilaeau into the Pacific is given @ 5:30. Of course the USGS tells us there is no worry of this happening…but that’s the government for you. 🙂
