Astrology Forecast for February 2018 ~ Unity, Connectedness, and Partnerships ~ Feb. 5, 2018

In numerology, 2018 is a number 11 year, however it also holds the vibration of number 2.

February, being the second month of the year also holds the vibration of 2, meaning that the month ahead is is going to help sync us up with the energies of the year. In fact, by the month’s end we are likely to feel a greater sense of balance and harmony as we move forward.

 

The number 2 represents unity, connectedness, and partnerships. It is a month for all of us to think about how our relationships are serving us and how we are creating a sense of community in our own lives.

February is also the month of Valentine’s Day, which has roots in the Pagan fertility festival known as Lupercalia.

This festival was used to celebrate the starting of Spring and included rituals to help create fertile soil and to help conception.

With the energy of Valentine’s Day in the air, February is also the perfect month to celebrate your loved ones and of course, self love.

Celebrating love doesn’t mean you need to go out and buy chocolates or flowers, instead telling  your loved ones how you feel, giving them a hug or just thanking them for all that they do can be enough.

Just the same, it is important this month to take the time to celebrate and nourish yourself in whatever way you need.

Loving yourself, honoring yourself, and believing in yourself is so important, so use Valentine’s Day as your reminder to pamper yourself with these thoughts and feelings.

One of the best ways to begin with bringing more self love into your life is to stand in front of the mirror, look at yourself in the eyes and repeat- “I love you”. This simple exercise can be confronting at first, but when practiced regularly it is extremely effective!

Aside from celebrating love, one of the most notable energies for February is that it is the only month of the year without a Full Moon.

 

Even though we will still be feeling the effects of the January 31st Full Moon Eclipseas the month begins, having no Full Moon in February is a sign that we need to focus on the new and set our sights away from the past.

Full Moon’s are typically a time of release, and without a Full Moon under the energy of this month, it seems that we are really going to get some extra time to focus on building up the new and focusing on strengthening new relationships in our lives.

This energy is further enhanced by the Partial Solar Eclipse that falls on the 15th-16th in the sign of Aquarius.

This New Moon Solar Eclipse is going to be helping us to communicate and express ourselves to those that we love. In fact, relationships are really going to be a theme around this Eclipse so stay open and see where the Universe is guiding you.

The New Moon Solar Eclipse is also going to help us to come to terms with whatever was released around the time of the January 31st Lunar Eclipse.

In fact, if things were stirred around the January Lunar Eclipse, the Solar Eclipse may bring new information or some new insights may rise to the surface.

On the same day, there is also a shift in the Chinese Zodiac, and we move out of the year of the Yin Fire Rooster and into the year of the Yang Earth Dog.

The year of the Earth Dog is going to help bring a grounding energy and will help all of us with building and manifesting what we want to create in our lives.

This shift of energy from fire to earth is a theme that is also strong in Western Astrology, and is something we are likely to feel more and more as we head deeper into the vibrations of 2018.

As we come down from all of the heavy Lunar Eclipse energy and prepare for the Partial Solar Eclipse, we may feel all over the place, out of balance or even like we are floundering a bit, but this is all so we can find our feet and work on bringing more grounded energy into our lives.

As we move through the month, it will be important to check in with ourselves and work out what we need to do to feel grounded, secure and balanced from within.

Overall, while the beginning of February may feel a little unsettled, by the end of the month we will definitely start to feel more in sync with the vibrations of the year. This will help us to receive a boost of energy and lots of motivation to start laying down the bricks one by one.

The Eclipse Gateway ~ The Time Between Eclipses ~ Feb. 5, 2018

Eclipses always follow cycles and generally come in pairs. These pairs include a Lunar Eclipse, which falls on the Full Moon and a Solar Eclipse which falls on the New Moon.

The time between these two pairs of Eclipses is considered the Eclipse Gateway, and is a period that usually lasts for about 2 weeks.

 

The Eclipse Gateway is one of the most potent and magical times of the year because the energy of both Eclipses merge, forming a bridge between one state of consciousness and the next.

Eclipses are always huge points of growth, awakening, and change, so this moment in between the two Eclipse pairs is really a time of transformation and renewal as well.

There are two different types of Eclipse Gateways- there is the Gateway between a Lunar and a Solar Eclipse and there is a Gateway between a Solar and Lunar Eclipse.

Depending on the order of the Eclipses, the energy can be slightly different. The intensity of the Eclipse Gateway will also depend on the intensity of the Eclipses on either side of it.

The Eclipse Gateway can also carry a slightly different flavour depending on the astrological signs of the Eclipses as well.

The Gateway Between a Lunar and Solar Eclipse

When you are walking the Eclipse Gateway between a Lunar Eclipse to a Solar Eclipse, usually there is a theme of release and letting go in order to make space for the new.

Lunar Eclipses have the ability to pull and drag things out of you, almost like the Moon’s gravitational pull helps to pull things out that have been buried deep within.

This “pulling” or “drawing out” energy helps you to release things that are no longer serving you and can bring old thoughts, patterns, and beliefs to the surface in order to be cleared.

As you walk the Eclipse Gateway after a Lunar Eclipse, it is likely you may feel drained and lethargic. You may also feel the need to go within, reflect, and spend time on your own.

Hidden truths and feelings may also come to the surface, and you may have to deal with old wounds that you had pushed away or forgotten about.

Lunar Eclipse’s always challenge us to dig a little deeper and push a little further so we can create more awareness around our thoughts and habits, and this is something that definitely intensifies as we move through the Gateway.

Lunar Eclipses can also bring endings, and these endings often occur during the Gateway period itself.

 

As you move closer to the Solar Eclipse, a sense of lightness usually follows, and you may even start to feel space being created in your life.

Ending with a Solar Eclipse, indicates that the month’s ahead are all going to be focused on creating the new, and filling this new space in your life with something more positive and aligned.

It also indicates that the months ahead are going to be filled with action and energy, and you are going to be supported to move forward.

The Gateway Between the Solar and Lunar Eclipse

When you are walking the Eclipse Gateway between a Solar Eclipse and a Lunar Eclipse, the energy is slightly different.

While a Lunar Eclipse pulls things out, Solar Eclipses draw things into your life and help you to create and direct your life in a new way.

Starting with a Solar Eclipse is a sign that you need to put your dreams into action, and go after what it is that you really want.

It is a sign that you need to get more action based energy into your life and to align so your words match your actions.

As you walk this Eclipse Gateway, there is often a feeling of support around starting new things and a sense of being guided as you take the next step.

This is a very high energy time, and it is likely that you will feel a burst of energy and inspiration following the Solar Eclipse.

As you get closer to the Lunar Eclipse however, the energy begins to shift and you start to become aware of what is blocking you from being able to move forward.

You may have your dreams and all your plans laid out, but the Lunar Eclipse will alert you if there are things that need to be cleared before you can move forward.

The 11111 Gateway, January 2018 ~ Attuning Ourselves to The Higher Vibrations ~ Jan. 10, 2018

One of the things that makes 2018 so special is that it’s a number 11 year. In numerology, number 11 is considered to be a master karmic number that holds a sacred vibration.

It is believed that the vibration of the number 11 can create spiritual awakenings and unlock the divine realms.

 

When you see the number 11 often, it is considered a sign from your angels and spirit guides that you are aligning to your higher destiny and to a higher wave of consciousness.

All numbers hold their own sacred vibration and meaning, but 11 continually stands out as being one of the most enlightening and transformative.

11 is also considered to represent perfect balance between both masculine and feminine, and the material world and the spirit world. It represents a coming into alignment and balance.

This vibration is going to run through all of 2018, but dates like January 1, January 11, November 1 and November 11, are going to hold this energy in it’s highest form.

On these dates, we are all going to be able to experience the vibration and gifts that number 11 has to offer us.

Sun, Venus and Pluto Alignment, January 2018 ~ Movement Away from The Patriarchal System ~ Jan. 9, 2018

January is such a busy month in the cosmos. In fact out of all the months this year, January stands out as being one of the most high energy and productive.

January started off with a Super Full Moon in the sign of Cancer. This Super Full Moon was really gearing us up for all that January has in store, and is continuing to guide us as we get settled into the new vibrations of 2018.

 

Along with the Super Full Moon energy, January also brings us three rare alignments and closes out with a Blue Moon Eclipse.

The first rare alignment happened January 5-7th with the meeting of Jupiter and Mars.

The second rare alignment occurs January 8-10th with the meeting of the Sun, Venus, and Pluto, and the last rare alignment occurs on January 16-17th with a New Moon and a special line up of five planets in the sign of Capricorn.

All of this energy points to January being an action packed month where we can really get things done and fire ahead on all cylinders. It is a month to make positive changes and it is a month to really get your life in order.

Of course, you can only plan your life so much as often the Universe or fate, or whatever you want to call it, has other plans for you. But nonetheless, January is a BIG month and it’s likely you are going to be feeling the changes and energies that this month brings for a long time to come.

One of the most significant alignments of January is the meeting of the Sun, Venus and Pluto. While all of these celestial bodies cross paths from time to time, what makes this so special is the fact that all three of them are aligning together.

The Sun is our life force and represents the material world around us. The Sun is what keeps us all going and when it meets with Pluto, their energies instantly merge to create the potential for higher consciousness and growth.

In fact, the meeting of Pluto and the Sun almost sets the tone for the year ahead and guides us as to what lessons or themes we will all be dealing with and where will be asked to grow and evolve.

Pluto and the Sun always meet once a year, but the addition of Venus in the mix makes this year’s meeting particularly special.

Venus is the planet of love, abundance and creativity. When Venus mixes with the powerful Sun and Pluto energy, it adds a feminine quality which softens the energy and allows us to view things from a more intuitive perspective.

This rare aspect can also be a prediction of the rise of feminine power that is currently in the works.

In most countries around the world, women are exploited or treated as being lesser than men, but this is shifting and there is a lot of cosmic support to help with this.

This alignment is not just about women however. It also touches on how we use power to mistreat not only human beings, but animals and Mother Earth as well.

This energy is going to be planting a seed to help all of us step out of the male patriarchal system and to look at things from a more holistic point of view.

There is so much masculine energy on this earth and while this is beautiful in its own right, it has been out of balance for too long.

Mother Earth needs more feminine energy, she needs more balance and this is exactly what this rare alignment comes to show and teach us all.

Embracing feminine energy is about embracing our intuitive, compassionate side. It is about looking at things from a deeper perspective and finding the deeper meaning, rather than just looking at things in a black and white manner.

Embracing feminine energy is about trusting that inner wisdom and looking within for guidance rather than looking to the outside world.

Feminine energy is so much more than just being “female”. It is an energy that runs through every living thing and the more we can acknowledge, celebrate it and use it, the more in balance we will all feel.

On a global level, honoring the feminine energy inside all of us will help to create peace within and peace on earth.

It will help us to tap into our creative potential and intuition. It will help all of us to rise up in consciousness and to experience the bliss that follows.

The Rare Mars and Jupiter Alignment, January 2018 ~ Jan. 4, 2018

You may remember that back in November 2017, Jupiter and Venus crossed paths in the sky, showering all of us with the energy of love and abundance. Now, it’s time for Mars and Jupiter to cross paths in the sky and this will happen from January 5-7th, 2018.

Mars and Jupiter aligning is extremely rare, in fact the next time this will happen will be in 2020. Whenever rare alignments like this take place their energy is always more significant and special.

 

Mars is the planet of action and energy, the ancients also considered it the planet of war. As the planet of war, Mars was able to use its power and strength in order to fight for what it believed in, find power and bring resolution to conflict.

Even though Mars energy can be destructive, it can also inspire change and movement. Whenever Mars energy is strong, we are encouraged to follow our hearts and take action.

Mars also rules over intense emotions like lust, passion and anger. It is important whenever Mars energy is amplified to ensure that we are not taking action from a place of anger or doing something we may regret later. However, it is also important to tune into our instincts and follow through on what it is that we truly desire.

Jupiter is going to be amplifying Mars energy and will be really guiding all of us to think about what direction we want to move in. This is actually wonderful energy for the start of the year, as it will help us to create actionable goals and resolutions that we can actually stick to.

If you want to make a change in your life, if you want something different for yourself, you have to take new action. You have to change up what you’ve been doing and bring a fresh wave of energy into your routine.

 

After all, as the saying goes- if you want something different, you have to do something different.

Mars and Jupiter are going to be aligning in the sky in the Scorpio constellation. Scorpio energy is all about transformation, death and rebirth.

While Mars will only be in Scorpio for a short period of time, Jupiter will remain here until November 2018. While in Scorpio, Jupiter has been helping us adjust our attitudes towards gender equality and sexuality.

The recent “me too” movement is a perfect example of what type of energy Jupiter in Scorpio can bring.

Jupiter helps us to raise our level of consciousness and understanding around bigger, global issues so we can make changes and make improvements for all of humanity.

As Mars and Jupiter align in Scorpio, we may see more progress and action taken with this “me too” movement, as well as other important humanitarian issues. We may also feel inspired to actually make changes instead of just talking about them.

On a personal level, the meeting of Jupiter and Mars is the perfect time to start something new or make some changes.
