Find the LOVE Inside of YOU!


Ever heard people urge you to meditate? You know, become quiet and still your thoughts? Wonder why so many urge this practice and what is to be gained? Becoming quiet and devoid of active thought (thinking about the electrical/gas bill, his graduation, her dance recital, etc.) is easiest at night before slumber and gives us the opportunity to listen to ourselves.

Meditation is defined as “to contemplate, or ponder” or take time to consider an idea. Most people think the meditation requires sitting with crossed legs, arms resting on your knees going Ohm…but that’s really not the case. You can “pose” for meditation, but I’ve done some great meditation while driving! (Not in city traffic however!) Meditation can be performed anywhere and any time you are able to stop active thought, at the beach, at home or whenever you can just still your mind.

What will you hear? At first..nothing, absolutely nothing. But the longer you are able to keep your mind quiet, the more conscious you will become of YOU and what you really are! The real you is not concerned withΒ  dinner tonight, or getting the car serviced. The REAL you is all about LOVE! As more time is spent listening to yourself, you will gradually discover the real meaning of life, the really important stuff that life is really made of…peace, joy, and LOVE!

The more you listen to yourself, the more you will inherently know just who YOU ARE. I AM not the middle-aged woman who lives in the mountains of Arizona. Meditation has helped me discover I AM a fountain of LOVE who is able to watch the antics of the world without fear. This self-discovery has been described as “self-awareness” by psychiatrists and it’s true! When you are self-aware, your spirit in a human body needs no outside “support system” to prop you up or solve your problems.

Philosophical change leads to Physical change!


Pretty confusing title to this blog, eh? That is my reflection of how one influences the other – namely, philosophical ideas ultimately influence our physical reality. The ancients said this another way, “As above…so below”. One meaning is that how our head thinks, is what we experience in the physical plane. OK, I can go with that! (especially as it relates to vibrations!)

This is all a big prelude to introduce the article I AM presenting from http://www.farsight.org. This organization uses “Remote Viewing” to better understand what is going on right NOW by going deeply into their own psyche through meditation that then allows them to access another place, and maybe another time. LOVE Your Happiness – A How to be Happy Guide !


Ok, I’ve decided to be happy, but I’ve got bills to pay and no money, the dog needs a shampoo badly (found a skunk this morning), and my boss is a bitch! How am I supposed to be happy with all this shit (pardon my language) going on in my life?

Happiness is a by-product of being in LOVE. We all know that…how do you feel when you are in LOVE? HAPPY!! So…just “stay” in a state of LOVE! But, it’s not that easy as concerns of the day override our ability to feel LOVE. That’s why meditation is such an effective tool for humans to use blocking out concerns of the day.

Other people find solace is sports, or hobbies, or reading since these activities use our active psyche, or “outside”minds, to concentrate hard and produce feel-good hormones, while our “inner minds” spin to realize that we are OK enough to LOVE and all is right with the world.

7 Tips to Break Free of Negativity

We all feel shitty sometimes, but sometimes these feelings start to linger.Β  Oddly enough, negative emotions can turn into habits if you repeat them for long enough, creeping through your daily life like a silent & deadly virus (cue Jaws soundtrack!)

If you’re constantly beating yourself up, getting irritated easily, and defaulting to anger instead of understanding, you may want to read on:

7 Tips to Shake it Off:

1. Quit Rationalizing.

You can be mad and upset, but it’s unlikely that you can honestly justify getting pissed about everything. You are responsible for your surroundings. Rationalizing all that anger is hurting nobody else, but you.

2. Take some personal responsibility.

Stop making excuses for yourself or others. We can all make elaborate explanations on β€œprinciple” of why we deserve to be angry. But when it comes down to it, you can either be right or be happy. Which do you want? And if you’re angry with someone who keeps repeating a behavior you don’t like, you are responsible as well. You choose to continue putting up with it. When you teach someone to treat you a certain way, don’t be surprised when they do. Besides, is playing the role of the victim really getting you anywhere?

3. Stop caring what they think.

I know, easier said than done.Β  But every time you look for someone else to validate you, you give up your power. Don’t let anyone else define your self worth. The irony is that we’re more likely to accept the negative criticism than any positive feedback. But what makes this truly crazy is that most of the time people are so busy living their own lives that they don’t notice that they made you feel this way. This means that most of that negativity is coming from you. As soon as you stop caring what other people think, you’ll instantly be happier.

4. Address your bad habits.

I love this one. I have many of them. Many of our bad habits are actually coping mechanisms that keep us in a state of negativity. What’s the easiest way to quit bad habits? Remove the triggers (people, places, and things) that suck the joy out of your life. β€œObligations” and β€œresponsibility” to stay around negative people are simply ways that we justify playing small. Read #2 again.

5. Pause before you react.

Often times our reactions are habits. They aren’t actually based on the desired outcome we want. So if you’re inclined to respond to that email immediately, give yourself 10 minutes.Β  During that time ask yourself,

  • β€œIs this really worth being upset over?”
  • β€œWill this response ultimately make me feel good or get me to where I want?”
  • β€œWhat are the consequences of my reacting this way?”

It just takes a little impulse control to stop an all out war with yourself and/or others. By pausing, you may be able to stop perpetuating the negativity cycle that blocks you from being happy and achieving your desired outcome.

6. Cultivate gratitude as your default attitude.

This is a no brainer, but it’s worth repeating. What can you be grateful for in this moment? An attitude of gratitude is a declaration that says what you want more of in your life. And what you give attention to will grow. So take a moment to notice the good stuff.

7. Get support.

Find people in your life who live life from a positive mindset. Spend more time with them. You might pick up a few tricks. Besides, the negative people aren’t doing you any favors. Our support system rarely looks the way we expect it to, but it exists if we’re willing to open our eyes.

The Takeaway:

Ultimately, being happy means letting go of the negative emotions. And that takes work.

You know how I got to be so happy?
I work for that shit.
Every. Single. Day.

It’s a conscious choice to be happy. Being angry and upset all the time was simply exhausting.
And it all comes down to one choice: Do you want to be happy or not?
