The Lunar Eclipse today, 15 deg Sag, is making a square to Mars in Pisces. It’s also opposite Venus, who is mid-retrograde. What does this mean?

Try to keep a cool head. Emotions are always intensified during a full moon and times that by 100 for a Lunar Eclipse full moon. Then add fiery Mars into the mix, and tempers can flare out of nowhere with two people or two parties or two sides at complete loggerheads, not able to see the others point of view at all.

Astrology doesn’t override our actions or our response. It simply sets the stage. It is up to us how we choose to respond to things.

If you find yourself getting angry at your partner, take a breath. Calm your emotions and mind. Ask yourself, okay, what am I really upset about and how can I express myself in a better way?

If you are angry at the state of our world, same advice. Anger is beneficial when we use it in positive ways. It is destructive and detrimental when we keep it inside then unleash it violently causing harm to others.

Uranus in Taurus, New Moon in Pisces, Mercury Retro ~ March 8, 2019

Today is a busy day in the skies!

Mercury went retrograde so the next few weeks are excellent for reviewing, revisiting, reorganizing, reflecting and in my case relaunching – the all new She Fire Membership Circle is being relaunched later today, watch this space and your inboxes for more info!

Mercury went retro on the very last degree of the zodiac, 29 degrees Pisces so it’s as if the communication planet is saying sort everything out before you move forward into a new communication cycle. A lot of the time we want to get onto the next thing, we ask the universe for more of this or that, but what in your life needs completing, finishing or releasing? If there are things that have been on your admin to do list forever, get them done already. Clear the clutter in your inbox and phone. Plan new systems to help you be more organised. Create mental space so that you can be free, fresh and energised once Mercury goes forward again.

Overnight we had Uranus, planet of the unexpected and unpredictable, move into very reliable and stable Taurus where he’ll be be until 2026. Where is Taurus in your chart? That’s the part of life that will get a Uraniun makeover – whatever has been the norm before will make way for something new and completely different. Uranus was in Aries from 2011-now so if you have a look at where Aries is in your chart you’ll be able to see how Uranus has been affecting you over the past 8 years.

For example, I have Aries in my 4th house of home and family. When Uranus moved into Aries in 2011 I got pregnant, Christian and I moved into a little cottage and set up our first home together as a family, I became a mum, we moved again when we needed more space, and my life has become very centred around motherhood, our home and family. Very different to the previous Uranus cycle where I wasn’t a mum yet, travelled a lot, and my focus was more on my work. When I look back at each previous Uranus cycle, it is like looking at completely different chapters of my life story, so incredible! So I’m looking forward to seeing what this next Uranus chapter holds.

When Uranus changes signs we can feel the change in the air even if we aren’t sure what we’re feeling. Uranus can bring shock events or bring opportunities that come totally out of the blue. Going into Taurus we can expect changes connected to: our money systems, sustainable farming, caretaking of the Earth, self-care, and prioritising what it is we truly value.

We also have the New Moon in Pisces today – the last new moon of the current astrological cycle before we start over with the New Moon in Aries next month. So we have an interesting energy this month with a lot of fresh new energy raring to go (Uranus) yet we also have Mercury retro and the Pisces influence asking us to take our time getting ready, no need to rush, take time to dream and plan before moving into action-focused Aries.

2019: January Solar Eclipse ~ January 6, 2019

SOLAR ECLIPSE: We have our first New Moon of the year which happens to also be a Solar Eclipse (15 deg Capricorn). On top of that Uranus is stationed direct, which means after some months going retrograde he’s about to start going forward again. This will mean that for the next 2 months ALL planets are direct.

If you’ve spent the past week still in holiday mode, this Solar Eclipse might feel like the ‘real’ New Year, kickstarting your momentum and forward drive for the year ahead. Many people will choose Jan 7 (which is also the Orthodox Christmas in the old calendar) to set their intentions for the year ahead, start new health and fitness routines, feel an urge to change jobs or geographical locations or change something around the home. Because Uranus is involved, some of these changes will be totally unexpected and have a real “what the!” feel about them.

Capricorn is all about tradition while Uranus is all about stirring things up, dye-ing your hair pink and doing things other people might think are unconventional. This Solar Eclipse will trigger a year of claiming and creating YOUR own unique version of tradition and solid foundations. Maybe for you that means selling up and travelling the world. Maybe it’s leaving a safe job for a more fulfilling one. The element of emotional wellbeing is important here: what is my emotional foundation like? Is it strong? How can I make it stronger? What do I need to do to feel more stable and secure within myself?

Pluto and Saturn are also in Capricorn, so this year has a huge focus on overhauling and strengthening all your foundations: emotional, psychological, spiritual, material and financial.

Solar Eclipses bring fated events. They accelerate your evolution. They speed things up. You may be saying “I didn’t ask for this! I’m not ready” meanwhile your Soul is saying “Yes, but I’m ready. This is what we need.” Alternatively you might be shouting “Woohoo I can’t believe this has finally happened!! Yes!!!!!”

This eclipse is only a couple of degrees away from the Jan 4, 2011 Solar Eclipse which was 13 degrees Capricorn. Where are those degrees in your natal chart? (You can find out for free on Astro.Com)

If not much is happening in that part of your chart then you might not have anything to report about this eclipse. However if you have a natal planet around there or an axis point (ascendant/descendant/mc/ic) or your north or south node you might be in for some big life changes.

Look back to Jan 2011. Did you experience any significant life changes that year? That eclipse was pretty much on my north node and ascendant (as is tomorrow’s) so a shift in the expression of my identity connected to what my Soul really wants me to experience/learn was on the cards. Sure enough we conceived Jax that Feb and I became a mum that November. Which obviously set me onto a whole new life chapter! What this eclipse will bring who knows….it’s almost always a surprise.

Eclipses often have a powerful effect over a 12 month period with the 3 month, 6 month and 9 month marks triggering related happenings. Events can also be triggered by the planets moving over the eclipse degree throughout the year. For example: In 2011 the Solar Eclipse happened in January. In February when Venus went over the eclipse degree we conceived. In March when Mars went over the eclipse degree we found out I was pregnant. The timing of things from an astrological perspective is incredible and exact.

Eclipses always have a destiny feel about them: sometimes things happen that you’ve been wanting for a long time but the timing has to be just right. Sometimes they are very challenging, but they always are designed to accelerate your soul’s evolution.

Leo Solar Eclipse: Truth, Strength, Courage ~ August 12, 2018


Editor’s Note: This post (thanks P.!)certainly resonates with me as driving into town for groceries this past Friday ( August 10) i was constantly observing signs of “Courage”, “Strength” and “Strong”. My thoughts?, we all ARE in the “storm” right now and need these reminders to stay the course of being true in our hearts.

11 August Leo Solar Eclipse Themes: Strength, Courage, Bravery. The strength, courage and bravery needed to stand up and speak the truth, and seek the truth, is rising up in us.

The truth is blazing like an inferno in our personal lives and for our collective.

Truth can at first trigger emotional and spiritual death: death of old illusions about what you believed to be real. Shock, grief, sadness, pain, anger and denial are all part of the death process as is the slow dawning acceptance that the old can no longer be. The acceptance paves the way for gradual healing and rebirth of something new: a new perspective, new identity, new life, new ways of being, and even…a new Earth and new version of humanity.

Truth-tellers have for thousands of years been vilified by those who rely on illusion for their profit and power. For thousands of years the truth has been covered by something that appeared stronger. But light and truth always finds a way to the surface, because light and truth are our natural states of being. You can cover the Sun by as many dark clouds as you like, but the Sun is still the Sun and its rays will always shine through eventually.

Awakening to truth isn’t all rainbows and light. A confrontation with the dark is necessary to see the whole big picture and awaken qualities we didn’t know we had. From that comes true power, strength and freedom. Now is the time to bravely face the truth within yourself, and together within our world.

Life these days feels as if humanity is slowly awakening from an anaesthetic that we were given long ago that had us under a sleepy spell. We did as we were told (aside from a few awake truth-tellers every generation). We forgot who we were and where we came from. Forgot our true history and herstory. Forgot our power and potential. Those who remembered, and tried to wake others, were punished.

It feels like that anaesthetic had a time-limit, after which it would start wearing off. We have reached that time-limit now. One by one, the eyelids are opening. Anything that was frozen is thawing. It feels like waking up after a deep sleep.

We are seeing what we couldn’t see before. We are feeling what we couldn’t feel. We are remembering what we once knew.

There’s no stopping this momentum now. It’s no longer happening on just an energy level. It’s landed in mainstream Main Street physical reality. Old powers don’t like it but c’est la vie. It’s our turn to take the wheel.
