It’s the first day back to work and school for many in America as the 2nd was observed as New Year’s Day in lieu of Sunday. It keeps sprinkling off and on here in the desert, it’s sweater season, and it’s Christmas in this house until I say it isn’t. Eli is ejecting gobs of fur in the typical Christmas shed all our dogs go through with white tufts literally falling out of his drawers as he runs down the hall—and I just brushed him.

We had obedience class today so I’m signing off. The trainer tells me I’m doing really well. My other half would tell you different.
