.. the money guy
.. the guy who drove them around.
When you convict those guys
the guys up top know
he’s convicted
he’s facing Federal prison
& 99.9% of the time those guys facing Federal prison
are like
especially a career corrupt DOJ official like M Sussmann,
‘I don’t want to go to prison..’
Say Sussmann’s convicted next week
his sentencing won’t happen for 3 months..
There’s a whole back & forth between the Government
& the Defense that goes on..
but in that time..
I’ve gone to the Government having lost big cartel cases..
‘OK, we lost, just kidding, I need help.’
And my guy’s like,
‘I don’t want to go to prison for 50 years.’
‘Well, you better give the Government something.’
And you have room to negotiate..
The other thing is
‘Your honor.. we gave him an opportunity to cooperate,
but no, he’s a guilty person,
max him out.’”
