Q posted a link to a report comparing this year’s deaths from respiratory illnesses with that of previous years. Why is the influenza death rate lower than in previous years?

For the week of April 11, 2020, deaths from all causes dropped dramatically not only from previous weeks but when compared to previous years.

I suspect children are immune to Covid 19 for the same reason they’re immune to influenza. They have a healthy immune system.

I suspect the elderly are susceptible to Covid-19 for the same reason they’re susceptible to influenza. They often have compromised immune systems.

Why are deaths this year from pneumonia (red line) dramatically lower compared to previous years? Is it because more patients are being treated (and being treated earlier) with Hydroxychloroquine?
