Ah, astrology…the way that movement of planetary bodies in the heavens affect our emotional selves. No wonder rulers from all eras have relied on the stars for some kind of guidance. We ALL want to know the future…and the more details, the better!

This weekend’s energies are complex, intense — and full of enormous potential. Tomorrow (at 10:35 p.m. UT, or 4:35 p.m. EDT) Saturn, Earth’s energetic gatekeeper, will bring his 4.5-month retrograde vision quest to an end. For the first time since March 1, his energy is once again becoming available to help our lives move forward.
 
The energetic intensity surrounding a planet’s direction change, or station, is called retrograde storm.  It’s the most potent part of any planet’s retrograde, when real, deep, and lasting change is most likely to occur.  Retrograde energies work far beneath the surface of your life.  They go to the roots of your energetic patterns and alter the structures. Of your life.
 
The magnitude of what’s happening over the coming days is amplified by several factors:

  • As he prepares to station, Saturn is deep in the heart of a long meeting with  Uranus that?s  like a 34-day arm wrestle.  Called a quincunx, it’s every bit as awkward and difficult as it sounds.  
The brakes are coming off, but the Manifestor can’t understand the instructions for breakthrough.  For nine days — from July 16th to 25th — the Manifestor and the Liberator are at the point in their cycles where they are least likely to understand each other.

 

The relationship between Saturn and Uranus is both tense  and creative.  Uranus is the first planet beyond Saturn’s orbit.  He brings a higher frequency of energy and information into our reality  the energy of breakthrough.  Without Uranian freedom and originality, Saturn’s realm becomes stale and oppressive, lacking in joy and transcendent purpose. 
And at this key moment, as Saturn changes direction, he’s unable to  understand the wave-length of breakthrough.  He can’t think beyond his own status quo reality. And right now, that status quo is pretty grim. Just look around you.
  • Raising the stakes is the fact that Uranus is also in retrograde storm.  On Wednesday, July 23, he’ll begin a 5-month retrograde of his own, searching within you for the energy you need to open more fully to his vibrations of breakthrough.
  • The breakthroughs you need are coming through another vibrational level, within you and around you — that’s beyond Saturn’s frequency.  
The Messenger is creating a direct pipeline with the Neptune, the Cosmic Mystic.  From the deeply intuitive, creative, and nurturing vibrations of Cancer — the realm of the Divine Mother — the information  you need is bringing the insight you need.  It’s coming through your intuition, your heart, and your imagination.  At this moment, your empathy, your inspiration, your creativity, and your intuition are your most important survival skills.

Imagine a cosmic relay race.  Saturn can’t receive the message, so Mercury is bringing it in from Neptune.  And over the next week, Mercury will begin to form a trine with Saturn, so that he can get the picture and begin to shape your reality accordingly. 

  • Heightening the potency of the moment is Luna.  This morning she reached her Last Quarter phase.  For the next week, she?ll be shedding dead skin like drazy, making room for the seed of creativity and good fortune that?s coming with next weekend’s New Moon in Leo. And so should you. 

The impasse between Saturn and Uranus can actually allow you to take a quantum leap beyond the barrier that your rational understanding and its three-dimensional comprehension so often presents. Here?s what’s most iportant to focus on as we move through the energetic maze over the coming days:

* Letting go of the dead skin in your life.   This is a short, potent window, so there’s not a lot of time for deliberation.  Show the Universe you know whats most important to you and what’s   simply the energetic clutter that’s blocking your way.  Whether it’s an old coat or an outgrown habit, if it doesn’t really matter to you, it’s time to let it go.  The more you release, the more room you make for what you really need.
 
 * Opening your heart.  Make room in your heart, your mind, and your schedule to receive the messages that are pouring through on the Mystic’s high-frequency wavelength. Make a lot room.    

* Focusing on your intentions while staying in your heart.  What is it you most need at this time?  Where do you need breakthrough? Don’t hold back — and don’t compare yourself to any one else.  Don’t judge yourself.  Stay focused on what matters most.
