German airline giant Lufthansa said Friday it will fly twice as many aircraft in June as in recent weeks and return to some European destinations, but the flight plan remains a shadow of pre-coronavirus operations. Spots beloved of holidaymakers like Spanish island Mallorca, Crete and German North Sea retreat Sylt will return to the timetable, with 160 aircraft aloft bearing Lufthansa’s crane or the logos of subsidiaries Swiss and Eurowings. More details of the 106 planned destinations will be published next week, Lufthansa said.

The Maltese ambassador to Finland Michael Zammit Tabona has stepped down in the wake of a Facebook post where he compared German chancellor Angela Merkel to Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler. In a Facebook post on Friday – which was Victory in Europe Day – Zammit Tabona said that “75 years ago we stopped Hitler. Who will stop Angela Merkel? The German Constitutional Court made an unexpected and significant ruling last week against the ECB and Quantitative Easing. In the midst of a pandemic and an important presidential election, it is very easy to miss globally significant events. Here is one that is way under the radar: The German Constitutional Court ruled the ECB’s QE Program Could be Illegal. That is a landmark ruling that challenges the independence of the ECB and the authority of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU).

The EU has attempted to defend the fact that it allowed the communist Chinese government to censor a letter it wrote before it was published in a Chinese newspaper, erasing a sentence that stated the coronavirus originated in China. The letter, co-written by the bloc’s 27 ambassadors, was published in China’s English-language newspaper China Daily on Tuesday. However, the EU agreed to allow censors to remove the sentence, which stated “But the outbreak of the coronavirus, in China, and its subsequent spread to the rest of the world over the past three months…” It is the second time in the space of two weeks that the EU has rolled over for Chinese censorship, having previously softened criticism of the communist regime in a report documenting how governments have pushed “disinformation” about the coronavirus pandemic.

Patriotism is Russia’s national idea, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Sunday, cautioning, however, against flag-waving moods. “Yes, it’s patriotism, I think there can be nothing else here,” Putin said when asked about the Russian national idea. But patriotism should not be spurious, he stressed in an interview with the program ‘Moscow. Kremlin. Putin”. As he stated he was going to do yesterday, Tesla CEO Elon Musk filed an 18-page lawsuit that asked a federal judge to allow him to re-open his factory in Fremont. “Alameda County’s power grab not only defies the governor’s orders, but offends the federal and California constitutions,” the lawsuit said. The suit argues that Alameda County “had violated the due process and equal protection clauses of the Fourteenth Amendment and sought an injunction that would allow the company to operate.”

The Department of Justice has dropped all charges against Lt. Gen Mike Flynn putting another nail in the Russia, Russia, Russia coffin. So what comes next? Well look for US federal attorney John Durham to bring criminal charges against the FBI’s bad actors. Charges could be brought against FBI agent Peter Strzok and FBI lawyer Lisa Page. These two reconstructed the damning interview narrative against Flynn. Then there is Deputy Director of the FBI, Andrew McCabe who set up the plan to take down Flynn as well as his boss FBI chief James Comey. That’s the chain of command when it comes to the Flynn trial. However once the FISA declassification is released by Durham we will discover the bad actors in the intelligence agencies. The FISA declassification release could include a number of indictments of intelligence chiefs for spying on Americans. The biggest boom could be that President Obama was updated on all these nefarious actions in his Daily Intelligence briefings. Time will tell how expansive this attempted coup radiated.

The Afghan government has released 1,000 members of the Taliban movement and expects the group to respond by setting free government security forces personnel and speeding up the preparation of direct talks, the Afghan National Security Council said on Saturday. The prisoner exchange and launch of the intra-Afghan talks became possible after the Taliban and Washington reached a peace deal in Qatar in February. Under the agreement, the US and NATO troops are to be pulled out from the country within 14 months, and the intra-Afghan talks between the militant group and the government have been set to start on March 10. However, the talks have been delayed due to Afghanistan’s electoral crisis and mutual disagreements over the release of prisoners.

Ethiopia has admitted that they shot down on Monday a Kenyan plane carrying humanitarian and medical supplies, killing all six people onboard. In a statement to the African Union, the Ethiopian military said they interpreted the plane’s “unusual flight” as a “potential suicide mission,” adding the crew did not inform authorities of any aircraft flying to the country. “Because of lack of communication and awareness, the aircraft was shot down,” the military said. “The incident was performed by non-Amisom troops of Ethiopia, which will require mutual collaborative investigation team from Somalia, Ethiopia and Kenya to further understand the truth,” it added. All six passengers onboard died on Monday after the plane was shot down in the southwestern town of Bardaale in Somalia. Kenya expressed its shock over the incident, saying the plane was on a humanitarian mission amid the coronavirus pandemic.

German intelligence has revealed that Chinese President Xi Jinping asked World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Thebreyesus to cover up the severity of the coronavirus pandemic in January, according to Der Spiegel. During a January 21 conversation – one week after the WHO assured the world there was ‘no clear evidence of human-to-human transmission’ – Xi reportedly asked Tedros not to reveal that the virus was in fact transmissible between humans, and to delay declaring that the coronavirus had become a pandemic – despite the virus qualifying as one by the WHO’s own former guidelines. And while the WHO announced on the 22nd that data collected through their own investigation “suggests that human-to-human transmission is taking place in Wuhan,” which they said more analysis was required “to understand the full extent,” they waited all the way until March 11 to declare the virus a pandemic.

Earth is about to cross a fold in the heliospheric current sheet, a vast wavy structure in interplanetary space separating regions of opposite magnetic polarity. The crossing, called a “Solar Sector Boundary Crossing,” is expected on May 11th and could trigger geomagnetic activity around Earth’s poles.

The COVID-19 pandemic has taken a major toll on the American food supply chain, with some companies reducing slaughter capacity. However, many of these companies are owned by foreign investors. According to a May 2019 NPR report, “nearly 30 million acres of U.S. farmland are held by foreign investors. That number has doubled in the past two decades.” Smithfield Foods, Inc., owns more than 500 farms on 146,000 acres of U.S. soil. Smithfield was purchased by the Chinese company WH Group (then known as Shuanghui Group/Shineway Group), China’s largest meat producer, for $4.72 billion in 2013. Meanwhile, German investors own 71,000 acres of farmland in Ohio, according to that same NPR report. Out of all foreign investors, Canadians own the most farmland in the U.S. American farmers and corporations also invest in foreign agriculture, owning billions of dollars of farmland across the globe.

An advanced group of Chinese hackers has recently been spotted to be behind a sustained cyber espionage campaign targeting government entities in Australia, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar, and Brunei—which went undetected for at least five years and is still an ongoing threat. The group, named ‘Naikon APT,’ once known as one of the most active APTs in Asia until 2015, carried out a string of cyberattacks in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region in search of geopolitical intelligence. According to the latest investigation report Check Point researchers shared, the Naikon APT group had not gone silent for the last 5 years, as initially suspected; instead, it was using a new backdoor, called “Aria-body,” to operate stealthily.

In a new report on Thursday, the Statistical Center of Iran (SCI) announced that the inflation rate in the 12-month period ending March 20, 2020 in for foodstuff, drinking water, beverages and tobacco products passed the 42 percent mark. The new overall inflation rate is up from 34 to 37 percent in comparison with the previous year for various subcategories according to the report. The SCI report also set the rate of inflation in the non-food and services categories at 31.4 percent during the same period.

Texas salon owner Shelley Luther has been ordered released from jail after the governor and attorney general protested her imprisonment over violating the state’s lockdown and modified the shutdown orders to exclude imprisonment. Luther, who became a symbol of the movement to end Texas’ lockdown when she was arrested for refusing to shutter her Dallas salon despite a district judge’s restraining order, was ordered released from jail on Thursday by the Texas Supreme Court after serving two days of a seven-day sentence.

A gas leak at a chemical plant in India has killed several people and put hundreds in hospital with breathing difficulties. Chilling images have emerged showing victims lying motionless on the ground in the wake of the tragedy. The gas, believed to be Styrene, is highly toxic when inhaled in high enough concentrations.

US President Donald Trump told his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in a phone call on Thursday that the US was ready to provide assistance to any country amid the coronavirus pandemic, including Russia, White House Deputy Press Secretary Judd Deere said.

Indian-origin identical twin brothers, who were stranded at the Dubai airport for nearly 50 days due to the Covid-19 lockdown, finally boarded their flight to Kozhikode in Kerala today.The twins – Jackson and Benson Andrews – were among the 177 Indian passengers who were stranded at the Dubai International Airport’s terminal 3 since March 19 while they were returning from Lisbon, Portugal. They were among the 19 Indian passengers who were stuck inside the airport for over a month.

The sale of used clothing is a billion-dollar global industry. According to some estimates, almost 70% of garments that are donated globally end up on the African continent. Donated items that cannot be sold in thrift shops in high-income countries are resold in bulk to commercial textile recyclers. The garments are then sent to sorting centers, often located in the Middle East or Eastern Europe. These are then graded and sorted into bales. The bales are in turn resold to wholesalers on the African continent. East Africa alone imports over $150 million worth of used clothes and shoes, largely from the US and Europe. In 2017, USAID estimated that the industry employed 355,000 people and generated $230 million in government revenue. It also supported the livelihoods of an additional 1.4 million in the East Africa Community bloc. In Malawi, where used clothes are known as “kaunjika” (meaning “clothes sold in a heap”). It is a popular and resilient business. A recent report predicts that the global second-hand clothing market is set to double to $51 billion in the next five years, exceeding fast fashion within a decade.

Uganda’s Finance Minister Matia Kasaija has said the EU grants, totalling U.S.$50 million, will support three projects and programs that are meant to improve the standards of local products. It will include the funding of the inclusive green economy uptake program, which involves developing innovative products and projects that reduce environmental risks – a key benchmark for gaining access to the EU market.

5/06 17:00 – The calm that began yesterday at 13 UTC lasted until 14 UTC today when a momentary isolated peak reached Power 30, little movement even for the other parameters, Quality and Frequency. The duration of this movement was approximately 1 hour after which it has been calm.
5/05 17:00 – After the previously reported peak there was a sudden rise of the Frequency which in 2 hours, from 11 to 13 UTC, returned to normal values, in parallel both the Amplitude and the Quality also fell towards calm. From 14 we are in a calm condition.
5/05 13:00 – Today the activity began calmly, from 7 UTC there is a gradual drop in frequency which reached the minimum value of 7.28 hz at 11, at the same time when there was a peak in Quality at 8.70. The increase in the amplitude of the cycles has increased in parallel with the decrease in the Frequency and has also reached the maximum value so far of Power 45 at 11 UTC. This was followed by a slight drop but since the Frequency remains low it is likely that we will see other movements.
5/04 21:30 – We are now in a gradual descent, it is interesting to summarize the peaks reached during this phase (UTC times):
- 11 – Power 91
- 12 – Power 70
- 14 – Power 61
- 15 – Power 61
- 17 – Power 50
- 18 – Power 37
- 21 – Power 20
5/04 17:00 – From the beginning of today’s movements at 7 UTC, 10 hours ago, there has been no interruption, there have been two particularly intense periods, from 10 to 12 UTC when we have been constantly above Power 60, and from 14 to 16 UTC when the Amplitude has always remained above Power 50. Apart from a short period of time of about 30-40 minutes around 13 UTC, from 8 to 16, then 8 hours, we have been constantly above Power 37, quite impressive, do we understand the message from Terra/Gaia?
5/04 14:30 – The activity of the best days distinguishes today, after the very strong peak at Power 91, there has been a short break of about 45 minutes at Power 32 before the new increase in progress that is reaching Power 70 at the time of this update. While the Quality remains at minimum levels (and therefore the ECC is not at stratospheric values), the Frequency remains below the base value.
5/04 12:00 – The series of peaks in constant increase continues, after the 77 previously reported others followed in rapid succession exceeding 80 until reaching Power 91 shortly after 11 UTC. The graphs show strong fluctuations in Quality and Frequency as well.
5/04 10:30 – The script is repeating itself, 15 hours of total calm, from 15 UTC yesterday until 6 UTC today when abrupt changes in Quality and Frequency started which were followed by Amplitude movements that reached a first peak at 8 UTC up to Power 50. The Frequency continued to decrease to 7.32 Hz and this minimum further increased the maximum amplitude value bringing it to Power 77 at 10 UTC.
5/03 17:00 – Today’s activity lasted 11 hours, from 3 to 14 UTC when a last peak at Power 49 seems to have closed a strong sequence that has always been increasing. May seems to be a crucial month, we shall see if the Schumann Resonance will ‘resonate’ appropriately. The situation at the time of this update seems to have returned to calm even if the Frequency is not yet back at the base value, it is still quite low, so other slight movements may occur.
5/03 12:00 – Today so far it has been a continuous crescendo, after the last update we had a peak at Power 65 at 9 UTC, one at Power 72 at 10 and, like a clock, Power 80 at 11 UTC. At 11 o’clock there is a drop in Quality, part of the wide oscillations, and the Frequency which always remains at fairly low levels.
5/03 08:00 – Another increase, after the previous peak, a rapid and short drop before going back to Power 63 at 9 UTC. As before Quality in ever wider oscillations and low Frequency.
5/03 08:00 – As anticipated, the activity is continuing, it started at 3 UTC and with a slow and constant increase it reached the maximum value so far of Power 43 at 7:30 UTC. The oscillations of the Quality increased in intensity without however reaching high values while the frequency continued to decrease until it reached 7.32 Hz.
5/03 06:30 – Once again a period of calm, lasting about 15 hours, from 12 UTC yesterday to 3 this morning. All values measured during this period remained stable at basic levels. From 3 UTC there is a gradual increase in Amplitude which at the time of this update reached Power 20, this movement is accompanied by an equally increase in Quality and a less gradual decrease in Frequency which is going below 7.40 Hz. There is the feeling that the activity can continue to increase.
5/02 17:00 – Calm.
5/02 13:00 – We hope you like the constantly updated charts! Today’s situation, after the final part of the activity previously reported yesterday, shows a period of almost calm that started at 22 UTC yesterday and that lasted for about 10 hours until 8 UTC today. During this period, the Amplitude and the Frequency remained on normal values while the Quality had a variation between 3 and 4 UTC. The first isolated peak of Amplitude at 8 UTC reached Power 20, the second, still isolated, reached Power 18 at 8 UTC and the last, isolated as well, reached Power 41 at 11:40 UTC. While these peaks occurred, the Frequency, as it almost always happens, has had wide oscillations towards lower values, but not too low.
5/01 23:00 – Today we worked hard to make the way that the main chart is updated independently of these textual updates, the work is not yet finished but I think it was worth it already! As for the situation, we see that from 15 to 19 UTC the activity was powerful with 3 major peaks at Power 58, 47 and 30. A further isolated peak reached Power 34 at 21:30 UTC. There have also been wide fluctuations in Quality, indicating that the “message” has not always been the same while the Frequency has had a sharp drop between 17 and 19 UTC.
5/01 17:00 – Even today, little or no calm, after the movements described previously we had an isolated peak that reached Power 44 shortly before 12 UTC. In the following 3 hours there were fluctuations in Quality and Frequency but the Amplitude remained at normal values. From 15, however, a rapid drop in Frequency began and once again an increase in Amplitude which in one hour, at 16 UTC, reached today’s maximum at Power 58. Frequency is still very low at the time of this update so it is possible that the activity continues.
5/01 08:30 – There was the impression that the activity would have continued and it did. Resuming from the last update, where we highlighted the frequency that remained high, it remained so, with the Amplitude on normal values, until 2 UTC when a rapid drop began. At the same time, the Amplitude gradually started to rise to reach the maximum at Power 58 just before 7 UTC. This peak was followed by a new drop towards Power 20 and with an increase in frequency.

Frequency means how many wave cycle happen in a second, 1 Hz. means 1 cycle per second, 40 Hz. means 40 cycles per second, Amplitude is the size of the vibration, how big is the wave, the chart shows the frequency variation in Hz and the amplitude using the white color.

It also happens to be Mother Earth’s natural heartbeat rhythm Schumann resonances are named after professor Schumann who was involved in early German secret space program and was later paper-clipped into the United States. The frequencies of Schumann resonances are fairly stable and are mainly defined by the physical size of the ionospheric cavity. The amplitude of Schumann resonances does change and is bigger when ionospheric plasma gets excited. Ionospheric plasma excitation happens because of solar activity, thunderstorms, use of scalar plasma weapons and HAARP and lately also when the Light forces are clearing the plasma anomaly.

Explanation of The Chart

The Schumann Resonance Spectrogram Chart

The Schumann Resonance Chart displays data from the magnetic field detector to monitor the resonances occurring in the plasma waves constantly circling the earth in the ionosphere. These three days spectrograms show the activity occurring at the various resonant frequencies from 1 to 40 Hz. Within the spectrogram, the power, or intensity level of each frequency is displayed as a color, with white being the most intense. The Schumann Resonances appear as the horizontal lines at 0.0, 4.0, 8.0, 12.0, 16.0, 20.0, 24.0, 28.0, 32.0, 36.0 & 40.0 Hz. This chart is based on Tomsk, Russia, time UTC +7 (UTC = Universal Time Coordinated).

What is a Spectrogram?

The Spectrogram Calendar is a visual representation of the range of frequencies in the magnetic field at a given location. Similar to how an equalizer displays the frequency content of music played on your stereo, the spectrogram calendar displays the frequency content of a magnetic field. Instead of showing a brief snapshot, it shows changes over a period of time, in this case 3 days.

The local magnetic field is a dynamic field that changes constantly because of variations in the ionosphere and sun and many other influences not yet fully understood. The range of variation displayed in the spectrogram chart is from 0 to 40 cycles per second. The vertical axis is frequency and the horizontal axis is time. The amplitude of a particular frequency at a specific time is represented by the intensity of color (green, yellow, white) of each point in the image.

Editor’s Note: Whew! We see a solid “white out” (dense patterning for high amplitude energies) for the Schumann Resonance energies yesterday which ended at 4pm yesterday afternoon on 5/4. (All times EST, USA). Today, on 5/5, we see a fairly dense “smattering” of mid-range energies from 2am through 7am.

5/05 13:00 – Today the activity began calmly, from 7 UTC there is a gradual drop in frequency which reached the minimum value of 7.28 hz at 11, at the same time when there was a peak in Quality at 8.70. The increase in the amplitude of the cycles has increased in parallel with the decrease in the Frequency and has also reached the maximum value so far of Power 45 at 11 UTC. This was followed by a slight drop but since the Frequency remains low it is likely that we will see other movements.
5/04 21:30 – We are now in a gradual descent, it is interesting to summarize the peaks reached during this phase (UTC times):
- 11 – Power 91
- 12 – Power 70
- 14 – Power 61
- 15 – Power 61
- 17 – Power 50
- 18 – Power 37
- 21 – Power 20
5/04 17:00 – From the beginning of today’s movements at 7 UTC, 10 hours ago, there has been no interruption, there have been two particularly intense periods, from 10 to 12 UTC when we have been constantly above Power 60, and from 14 to 16 UTC when the Amplitude has always remained above Power 50. Apart from a short period of time of about 30-40 minutes around 13 UTC, from 8 to 16, then 8 hours, we have been constantly above Power 37, quite impressive, do we understand the message from Terra/Gaia?
5/04 14:30 – The activity of the best days distinguishes today, after the very strong peak at Power 91, there has been a short break of about 45 minutes at Power 32 before the new increase in progress that is reaching Power 70 at the time of this update. While the Quality remains at minimum levels (and therefore the ECC is not at stratospheric values), the Frequency remains below the base value.
5/04 12:00 – The series of peaks in constant increase continues, after the 77 previously reported others followed in rapid succession exceeding 80 until reaching Power 91 shortly after 11 UTC. The graphs show strong fluctuations in Quality and Frequency as well.
5/04 10:30 – The script is repeating itself, 15 hours of total calm, from 15 UTC yesterday until 6 UTC today when abrupt changes in Quality and Frequency started which were followed by Amplitude movements that reached a first peak at 8 UTC up to Power 50. The Frequency continued to decrease to 7.32 Hz and this minimum further increased the maximum amplitude value bringing it to Power 77 at 10 UTC.
5/03 17:00 – Today’s activity lasted 11 hours, from 3 to 14 UTC when a last peak at Power 49 seems to have closed a strong sequence that has always been increasing. May seems to be a crucial month, we shall see if the Schumann Resonance will ‘resonate’ appropriately. The situation at the time of this update seems to have returned to calm even if the Frequency is not yet back at the base value, it is still quite low, so other slight movements may occur.
5/03 12:00 – Today so far it has been a continuous crescendo, after the last update we had a peak at Power 65 at 9 UTC, one at Power 72 at 10 and, like a clock, Power 80 at 11 UTC. At 11 o’clock there is a drop in Quality, part of the wide oscillations, and the Frequency which always remains at fairly low levels.
5/03 08:00 – Another increase, after the previous peak, a rapid and short drop before going back to Power 63 at 9 UTC. As before Quality in ever wider oscillations and low Frequency.
5/03 08:00 – As anticipated, the activity is continuing, it started at 3 UTC and with a slow and constant increase it reached the maximum value so far of Power 43 at 7:30 UTC. The oscillations of the Quality increased in intensity without however reaching high values while the frequency continued to decrease until it reached 7.32 Hz.
5/03 06:30 – Once again a period of calm, lasting about 15 hours, from 12 UTC yesterday to 3 this morning. All values measured during this period remained stable at basic levels. From 3 UTC there is a gradual increase in Amplitude which at the time of this update reached Power 20, this movement is accompanied by an equally increase in Quality and a less gradual decrease in Frequency which is going below 7.40 Hz. There is the feeling that the activity can continue to increase.
5/02 17:00 – Calm.
5/02 13:00 – We hope you like the constantly updated charts! Today’s situation, after the final part of the activity previously reported yesterday, shows a period of almost calm that started at 22 UTC yesterday and that lasted for about 10 hours until 8 UTC today. During this period, the Amplitude and the Frequency remained on normal values while the Quality had a variation between 3 and 4 UTC. The first isolated peak of Amplitude at 8 UTC reached Power 20, the second, still isolated, reached Power 18 at 8 UTC and the last, isolated as well, reached Power 41 at 11:40 UTC. While these peaks occurred, the Frequency, as it almost always happens, has had wide oscillations towards lower values, but not too low.
5/01 23:00 – Today we worked hard to make the way that the main chart is updated independently of these textual updates, the work is not yet finished but I think it was worth it already! As for the situation, we see that from 15 to 19 UTC the activity was powerful with 3 major peaks at Power 58, 47 and 30. A further isolated peak reached Power 34 at 21:30 UTC. There have also been wide fluctuations in Quality, indicating that the “message” has not always been the same while the Frequency has had a sharp drop between 17 and 19 UTC.
5/01 17:00 – Even today, little or no calm, after the movements described previously we had an isolated peak that reached Power 44 shortly before 12 UTC. In the following 3 hours there were fluctuations in Quality and Frequency but the Amplitude remained at normal values. From 15, however, a rapid drop in Frequency began and once again an increase in Amplitude which in one hour, at 16 UTC, reached today’s maximum at Power 58. Frequency is still very low at the time of this update so it is possible that the activity continues.
5/01 08:30 – There was the impression that the activity would have continued and it did. Resuming from the last update, where we highlighted the frequency that remained high, it remained so, with the Amplitude on normal values, until 2 UTC when a rapid drop began. At the same time, the Amplitude gradually started to rise to reach the maximum at Power 58 just before 7 UTC. This peak was followed by a new drop towards Power 20 and with an increase in frequency.

A new breed of ‘killer bee’ has arrived – this time from Asia (Japan, to be exact). The Asian Giant Hornet – the Murder Hornet’s government name – is much larger and significantly more aggressive than its North American cousins. Queens can grow to be more than 2 inches wide. And the soldiers posses powerful venomous stingers. Only a handful of the bees have been officially cited in North America over the last year. But several reports of beehives being ‘plundered’ suggest swarms of the hornets might be active in the US.

Globally, the cost of living has fallen by an average of 4% over the last year, with much of the movement up and down the ranking being driven by currency fluctuations. The locations with the highest cost of living are largely split between Europe and Asia. For the second time in the report’s 30-year history, three cities are tied as the top spot—Singapore, Hong Kong, and Osaka. Osaka is a newcomer to the top spot, climbing four places over the last year to join cost of living heavyweight champions, Singapore and Hong Kong. As Japan’s third-largest city, Osaka is a major financial hub and a breeding ground for emerging startups, with relatively low real estate costs compared to Singapore and Hong Kong. Three European cities (Paris, Zurich, and Geneva) sit atop the most expensive city rankings, compared to seven cities only 10 years ago. Similarly, 31 of the 37 European cities have seen a decrease in cost of living overall—largely as a result of the Euro or local currencies losing value relative to the U.S. dollar. Finally, the top 10 is rounded out with two cities from the United States (New York, Los Angeles) and one from Israel (Tel Aviv).

The international air traffic may recover in the middle of summer, official spokesperson of the Russian flag carrier Aeroflot Yulia Spivakova said on Sunday. “It is difficult to indicate the exact timing of flights so far but when looking at the best case forecasts, then the international traffic may start recovering in the middle of summer,” she said.

An Asiatic lion sneaked into a school building while trying to make a kill in an adjoining livestock enclosure in Paswala village of Una taluka in Gir Somnath district. It was later rescued, forest officers said on Sunday. Officers of wildlife division said that a fully grown male lion attempted to prey on a buffalo calf kept in an enclosure adjoining the village primary school in Paswala late Wednesday. When the livestock owner raised an alarm, the carnivore escaped.

Due to coronavirus, shops across Kerala have been shut for over a month now. However, there was an unexpected visitor at a jewellery shop in Payyanur in Kerala’s northern Kannur district Sunday. The owner, Sajith, had opened his shop Sunday for the first time since the lockdown was imposed. Among some old things in his shop, he discovered a reticulated python curled up and about 20 eggs that it had laid. Sajith screamed and called the state forest department, who came and rescued the snake and eggs. It will remain in their protection until the eggs hatch. The snake is 3 metres in length and weighs 24 kg.

The State of Illinois has released 146 sex offenders statewide, including 3 considered “sexually dangerous persons” convicted in Winnebago and Ogle counties. 4,000 inmates released from prisons, including 64 convicted of murder. A list released by the state shows each inmate who had their sentence commuted by Gov. JB Prtizker or were released early by the Illinois Department of Corrections. Winnebago County State’s Attorney Marilyn Hite-Ross said that some inmates are being let out so quickly that she doesn’t have proper time to inform victims, as is required by the Rights of Crime Victim’s Act and the Illinois Constitution.

Between evil laughs and dark chucklings, the tech guru, tax fugitive, and general wild man shared his suspect views on the “state of the world” during COVID-19 last night at Virtual Blockchain Week. “We are living in a paradigm the world has never seen before,” the 74-year-old crypto advocate and antivirus-software pioneer said, speaking from God knows where. Money is based on something called industry, production, service. We haven’t increased any of that,” he said, with a deep, unsettling chuckle. He predicted the money-printing will lead to a collapse of the US dollar.

Warren Buffett, the billionaire investor revealed the conglomerate has offloaded the entirety of its stocks in the US airline industry, waving goodbye to shares in United, American, Southwest and Delta Airlines, during the firm’s annual shareholder meeting Saturday. In the same meeting, Buffett urged investors to hold onto stocks in businesses they like and to ‘never bet against America’ despite the mounting concerns over the long-term impact the virus is wreaking on the economy.

Earth is approaching a stream of debris from Halley’s Comet, source of the annual eta Aquarid meteor shower. If forecasters are correct, the shower will peak on May 5th and 6th, producing one of the best meteor showers of the year. The question is, will anyone actually see it? The 2020 eta Aquarid meteor shower has a problem: The Supermoon. Intense glare from one of the biggest full Moons of the year will reduce the number of visible meteors from the usual 40 per hour to no more than 10 or 15 per hour.
