Three top-tier X-class solar flares launched off the sun between Wednesday and Thursday. The first two occurred seven hours apart, coming in at X1.9 and X1.6 magnitude respectively. The third, the most powerful of the current 11-year “solar cycle,” ranked an impressive X6.3.

Solar flares, or bursts of radiation, are ranked on a scale that goes from A, B and C to M and X, in increasing order of intensity. They usually originate from sunspots, or bruiselike discolorations on the surface of the sun.

Sunspots are most common near the height of the 11-year solar cycle. The current cycle, number 25, is expected to reach its peak this year. The more sunspots, the more opportunities for solar flares.

Solar flares and accompanying coronal mass ejections, or CMEs, can influence “space weather” across the solar system, and even here on Earth. CMEs are slower shock waves of magnetic energy from the sun. Flares can reach Earth in minutes, but CMEs usually take at least a day.

All three of the X-class solar flares disrupted shortwave radio communications on Earth. But the first two flares did not release a CME; the verdict is still out regarding whether the third flare did.

Three flares, three radio blackouts

High-frequency radio waves propagate by bouncing off electrons in Earth’s ionosphere. That’s a layer of Earth’s atmosphere between 50 and 600 miles above the ground

When a solar flare occurs, that radiation travels toward Earth at the speed of light. It can ionize additional particles in the lower ionosphere. Radio waves sent from devices below it then impact that extra-ionized layer and lose energy, and aren’t able to be bent by ions at the top of the ionosphere. That means signals can’t travel very far, and radio blackouts are possible.

Three back-to-back radio blackoutsoccurred in response to the trio of flares, but primarily over the Pacific and Indian oceans. They were rated “R3” or greater on a 1 through 5 scale.

According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Space Weather Prediction Center, that results in a “wide area blackout of [high frequency] radio communication, [and] loss of radio contact for about an hour on sunlit side of Earth.” Low-frequency navigation signals, like those used on aircraft traveling overseas, can be degraded too.

Disruptions to AT&T cell service?

There was rampant speculation that Thursday morning’s pervasive AT&T blackout was tied to Wednesday’s solar flares. The Space Weather Prediction Center, however, released a statementnoting that “it is unlikely that these flares contributed to the widely reported cellular network outage.”

Joe Kunches, former chief of operations at the center, told The Washington Post that “there is no chance” of any connection.

“First it occurred in the night hours for North America, so any possible impact would have not occurred here. Flares and their associated radio bursts only impact dayside systems if at all,” Kunches said in an email. “And, even if this was to occur during your daylight hours, chances are near nil that cell service would be affected.”

Solar flares don’t usually affect cellphone frequencies. Radio blackouts associated with solar flares affect transmissions in the high-frequency 3 to 30 megahertz band. Most cellphone carriers operate between 698 and 806 megahertz.

Finally, Wednesday’s flares didn’t unleash CMEs. Such blasts can induce electric currents that can overwhelm circuitry in satellites and even knock them offline or destroy them. In February of 2022, 40 SpaceX satellites were knocked out by a CME. Even had there been a CME, it probably would have taken more than a day to reach Earth.

Potential Earth effects

Because the first two flares on Wednesday didn’t release CMEs, it means skywatchers won’t be treated to displays of the northern lights, as is often the case when such geomagnetic storms reach Earth.

The third solar flare, which was the biggest and occurred Thursday evening Eastern time, may have launched a CME, but forecasters don’t know yet. They’re awaiting coronagraph data. Since CMEs are slower-moving than solar flares it generally takes several hours for them to fully radiate away from the solar disk and become visible on sensors.

Still, there are more opportunities for X-class flares and CMEs in the days ahead. The parent sunspot cluster that launched all three, dubbed “Active Region 3590,” is still crackling.

The sunspot is so big that you can view it with your own eyes — but you’ll need eclipse glasses to do so safely.

Another focus during your ascension process is often to ground yourself into Mother Earth, to support you in experiencing balance, being more centred and more present in your reality or your ascension process. However, there is a need to acknowledge that in the same way the Universe of the Creator holds treasures of light, activations, downloads, boosts of energy and wisdom, so does Mother Earth. We could recognise Mother Earth as an equal to the Universe of the Creator. When we begin to change our perspective, around Mother Earth, we begin to recognise that Mother Earth is generous, bountiful and holds numerous blessings, light activations, boosts, awakening, and wisdom for every being to receive and embody. We begin to recognise that as a physical being you have been placed upon the earth and while it is important to connect with the inner planes and within your being, there is a very important relationship that requires to be nurtured and explored thoroughly. This relationship is with Mother Earth. 

Yes, you can continue to ground yourself into Mother Earth, she will continue to support you in the same way as she has always done. However, she has so much more to give and to share with you. She can assist your ascension process, she can increase the light vibration within your being, she can share wisdom, knowledge, and truth that maybe you have not recognised before. She can support you in navigating through the earthly reality in harmony with yourself and in harmony with Mother Earth, the true nature and essence of Mother Earth.

Take a moment to imagine or contemplate all the blessings that Mother Earth has to share with you and how maybe you have been ignoring these or maybe you have not been aware that they are available for you to accept. Mother Earth’s wisdom, light and knowledge is not only about the Earth, and the nature kingdoms, she has great knowledge about the transitions of ascension, about the Universe of the Creator as well. She has knowledge about healing and transformation. Sometimes it is easier to connect with Mother Earth and to receive her blessings, her treasures, her activations and wisdom because she is physical, and you are physical. This makes the interaction, the relationship and the communication between you easier because your experiences are similar and essentially, you are not trying to connect with a different dimension within the Universe of the Creator, because you are connected to the dimensions of Mother Earth already. Everything is available and waiting to unfold. 

I, Lady Quan Yin, wish to offer to you a very simple practice in order to connect more fully with Mother Earth. 

Simply allow yourself to feel, sense or to acknowledge the floor, the earth, the ground beneath you. 

On your next inhalation, breathe in deeply. On your exhalation, breathe down to your feet and even out through your feet. Inhale deeply, exhale down to your feet and out through your feet knowing that you are connecting with Mother Earth. Allow yourself to experience this until you feel, sense, acknowledge or simply know there is a response from Mother Earth. 

Then you may say something in your own words asking to enhance your relationship with Mother Earth and to receive the blessings, the light activations the wisdom of Mother Earth.  

After you have created your intention, inhale breathing up from the ground from Mother Earth up through your feet, your legs into your entire body all the way up to your head. As you inhale in one breath and exhale, simply allowing the energy to settle within you, achieve this practice until you feel, sense, acknowledge or know the energy of Mother Earth is with you. 

Allow yourself to enter into your heart space, as if you are sitting with Mother Earth, and be aware or conscious of the energies she has provided, or any light or wisdom she wishes you to understand.  

You can have a conversation with Mother Earth if you wish. She is present to be of service but also to be a companion. As you begin to open yourself up to Mother Earth realising the treasures of ascension that she holds, so, you will experience your ascension process accelerating in a greater understanding of your own existence upon the earth.

Co-Creators continue to assist us in transitioning into fifth density, so that our physical bodies can more easily adapt to the increasing high frequency energies coming to Earth via the Solar Portal. They periodically discharge the Sun with powerful coronal mass ejections from its reverse side to protect the planet and us.

This process will continue in March. We can safely endure this transformation if consciously align and accept these quantum currents, without inner stonewall to their impact. The powerful energies are coming daily in the form of Light tides. The purer our bodies and consciousness are, the higher own vibes, the easier we can take these currents. Conversely, they are very painful if we’re stuffed with blocks and clamps, psychological trauma and fears, and our bodies are dense and polluted due to unhealthy heavy nutrition and vibrating at low frequencies.

The coming spring, its powerful rays of renewal is a wonderful opportunity for active inner work, mental and emotional cleansing and raising vibrations. To realize that the old world with its laws and rules is no more, and it is impossible to exist according to their norms. It is time to live according to cosmic laws, on the high energies of the new Local Universe and the renewed Earth, to be in resonance with them.
