To understand what’s happening, we need to go back thirty-five years.
The wall falls. The West thinks it has won History. Fukuyama announces the end of ideological conflicts, and a generation of European leaders draws a crazy conclusion from it: nations, borders, cultures—all that belongs to the past. The future is a faceless global market, run by experts, treaties, and commissions that no one elected.
Maastricht in 1992. The euro. Embraced deindustrialization, because we can produce everything in China and factories are outdated. Mass immigration turned into policy, without ever asking the people’s opinion. And when the people say no, like in 2005 with the referendum on the European Constitution, we ignore it and have Parliament vote on the same thing three years later.
Meanwhile, in the universities, another machine is turning. An ideology that teaches children their civilization is guilty, their history a shame, merit an oppression, and order a violence. It spills out of the campuses, colonizing the media, administrations, big corporations. It’s what Elon calls the woke mind virus.
The result is right in front of our eyes. A ruling class out of touch that talks at Davos and no longer knows how to speak to Lorient. A bloated state that takes everything and protects nothing. A debt that’s exploding. Public services collapsing. And a chunk of the youth filming a firefighter burning while cracking up.
That’s the endpoint of the globalist project. And now, three possible outcomes.
The first is 1984. The system senses it’s losing control, so it tightens the screws. Mandatory digital identity, central bank digital currency, network censorship in the name of fighting disinformation, algorithmic surveillance of every exchange. No fundamental problems get solved; we just ban talking about them. It’s the path Brussels is already preparing with the DSA. An order without freedom.
The second is Lebanonization. The system can’t even control anymore. The state withdraws bit by bit. Entire neighborhoods fall under other laws. Hospitals close, police stop showing up, electricity gets unreliable, communities arm themselves and retreat into isolation. The country doesn’t die all at once; it fragments. Lebanon was the Switzerland of the Middle East. It took just a few years.
The third is the rebound. The return of order. The European Union as we know it breaks apart, nations reclaim their sovereignty, and the reckoning begins. A Nuremberg for communism and all those who drove this continent into the wall knowingly.
And I think this third path is by far the most likely. For a simple reason no one wants to see.
France is a nuclear power. It has ballistic missile submarines, nearly three hundred warheads, a permanent seat on the UN Security Council. The United States will never let an arsenal like that fall into total chaos. Never. Washington can tolerate a weak France, an arrogant France, a France that lectures. It will never tolerate a Lebanonized France with the bomb.
That means the total chaos scenario has a ceiling.There’s a point beyond which the world’s greatest power will intervene, one way or another, to bring order back. And today’s America isn’t Obama’s anymore. It’s the one that decided to destroy the woke mind virus. With Elon, who succeeds at everything he takes on. Reusable rockets, electric cars, Starlink, the Twitter buyout everyone said was impossible. He doesn’t talk; he executes.
On the other side, what is there? Fake intelligence. The appearance of intelligence. Macron is its perfect embodiment: a communications product. Strip away his advisors, his talking points, his staging, and nothing’s left. Put him in front of a whiteboard with a real problem to solve, and he wouldn’t even know where to start. An entire system run by people who know how to appear, and not a single one who knows how to do.
This system rests on illusion. And illusions always end up collapsing.

So yes, I have hope. I believe all this fraud is going to crumble. And I believe that right after, a renaissance will come. One of builders, engineers, entrepreneurs, people who get up in the morning to create. Those who do, not those who appear.
Europe has already risen from its ashes. After Rome, after the plague, after two world wars. It will do so again.
And this time, we’ll be there to rebuild it.
