On the day that a planet retrograde, this is called “stationing”, and this is like when a huge ship on the seas stops before turning around to move in the opposite direction.
In other words, the ship does not glide along and then suddenly swerve around to sail in the opposite direction. It slows down, stops, and then turns. Similarly, a retrograding planet halts and is at its greatest intensity at that time–the “stationing”.

Pluto “stationed” on May 6th and will remain so for several days and gradually move deeper into the inner-most portal of human emotions.
As the “station” occurs, many people tend to fall back into old unwise, even unhealthy, behaviors as uncomfortable realizations start to actualize more clearly. They tend to run away from what must be faved and cleared before true peace and new ways of being can exist.
Eventually, however, the old behaviors themselves become challenging to hold onto, and then deep emotions begin to be faced up to for healing. Thus, the “ship” carrying emotions turns around and experiences “deeper waters”.
As the recent teaching article on Pluto’s Rrtrograde energy discussed, “deeper waters” will be sailed upon until mid-October. By the end of “2026”, realities will have been clearly seen and opportunities will surface from the “depths” of emotional seas of inner strong feelings that can create new lifestyles, and thus, different behaviors that are harmonious and which are aligned with what is best for us as SOURCE helps us to navigate the emotional “seas”—parts of which may have been very tumultuous.
So, now is the time to go deep within, to allow the “ship” to stop and turn around. In the depths of our beings can be found knowledge and the wisdom to use it for the best benefit for ourselves and others. The LIGHT will be turned on brightly as we “station” and begin to “turn”. The journey is long and important.
We will arrive at a new realty and a better, more advantageous life spiritually, physically, emotionally, and cosmically. Relax. Move further inward. Allow the “waters” to cleanse and renew you. Allow Pluto’s retrograde to remove old, unworkable, concepts and behaviors.
The “stationing” will be for several days. People may feel more confused and unsure of how to proceed with plans and projects because certain planned activities may seem to be now unhinging. This is the inward “sailing” beginning.
The journey does not have to be unsettling if you truly want changes to occur and a wonderful life to unfold. Enjoy the “sailing” to your new “shore”.
