When the Devil card appears, it indicates that you are oppressed, enslaved or restricted. Crucially, these restrictions are often self-imposed, or brought about by your own fear. You may be oblivious to something or obsessed with someone, an idea, a drug, or a routine that you know is harmful for you. The Devil card shows up to urge you to face your fears head on and to seek freedom from whatever or whoever is holding you back.
Traps, obsessions and giving in to your own impulses – these are all aspects of the Devil’s business. Sometimes this card appears to warn of a trap or a delusion. It’s possible that knowing about the trap ahead of time can help you avoid it, but it’s also possible that you won’t be able to prevent it. The kind of trap you’ll fall into, as well as how you’ll escape it, is determined by where the Devil appears in your spread and what other cards surround it. This card does not portend disaster, but rather caution.
On the face of the Devil card we can see a horned and winged demon sitting on a black altar. In one hand, he carries a lighted torch, while the other is raised as if to deter anybody approaching. On his head is an inverted pentagram, which is the Devil’s emblem. At the Devil’s feet stand a man and a woman, chained and tethered. However, a closer examination reveals that the chains around their necks are not very tight – in fact, they could untangle themselves at any time, but they do not.
What Kind of Demons are You Battling?
In popular culture, the Devil is a well-known tarot card, since it symbolises a traditional foe in our religious cultures. Apart from religion, this card may be interpreted in a variety of ways. If you’ve ever heard the expression “battling my demons,” you’ll quickly connect it with this card.
Sometimes the Devil appears to tell you that a little bit of fun won’t do you any harm – take the day off, indulge yourself or spoil yourself. However, more frequently, the Devil card speaks to over-indulgence of any kind, particularly over-indulgence in drugs, alcohol, food or negative escapism. Be on the lookout for harmful habits when this card appears. It is your choice to free yourself from them, just as the man and woman on the Devil card could free themselves – but will you?
There are times when we find ourselves in areas that are dark and dangerous, and we’re not sure how we’ll ever get out. This card may sometimes indicate a profound despair, a suffocating relationship, or a soul-draining profession. Look to this card for the secret to escaping in these times. The two people on the Devil card are too terrified, and despondent to escape, but you don’t have to be.
When you draw the Devil card, you should ask yourself a lot of personal, probing questions. Is this Devil sending off a positive or negative vibe? Is there a place in your life where you could use a little extra indulgence? Or do you have an excessive amount of it? Do you ever feel like you’re stuck in a situation?
What The Devil Means for You Today
Take a good look at your situation and circumstances today. The Devil card shows that something is trapping you, obsessing you or holding you back, but once you recognize this, escape is easy enough. You simply have to choose to walk away. What exactly is enslaving you is not always obvious, but you’ll discover it if you spend some time in self-reflection.
This card is your encouragement to seize the day. Make this the day that you say enough is enough; make this the day that you choose a different path. Help and support will be available to you if you need it, but you alone can take the first step towards this decision.

The Tower symbolises the startling revelation that what you previously believed to be true was just a falsehood. On this card, people fall from its windows, as a tower on a rocky platform is hit by lightning, a sign of dramatic things to come. It may signify a sudden, calamitous shift for which you are unprepared. You can’t control what happens because it happens too fast. This card may indicate an unpleasant and disturbing shift in your livelihood, lifestyle, or beliefs, yet it will strengthen you when you are forced to start afresh.
The Tower is the epitome of upheaval, abrupt change, and strife. It is dark and ominous. Not simply change, but the sudden and jarring shift brought on by unpleasant and unexpected life events. The Tower in your spread is always a fear, but tragedy is unavoidable in life, and you must choose whether to confront it with grace or not. As you sift through the fragments, you may discover revelations. You don’t need to be scared of this card: change is good.
A bolt of lightning hits. There was an automobile accident. A partner makes a proposal. The ceiling collapses. You find out you’re expecting a child. There’s a mudslide. These are all unexpected events that have the potential to alter our lives forever. The Tower card may symbolise all of these things and more – that life events that occur unexpectedly and without warning, yet profoundly alter our way of life.
A tower is shown on the Tower card, as one would expect. Not just any building, but one that is on the verge of collapsing. The tower is struck by lightning, and the occupants are thrown from the topmost level. A crown at the pinnacle of the tower is symbolically thrown off and broken from its perch up high. To add insult to injury, the tower is on fire, with flames shooting out the windows. This isn’t the happiest of cards, to put it mildly.

We can see eight wands slashing across the sky here. You will be able to accelerate things once you decide to utilize your intelligence to harness your energy. The card advises you to avoid wasting your resources and to make the most of what you have.
You must learn when to accelerate and when to slow down. You risk losing control if you go at full speed all of the time. If we follow this card’s warning, we may still reach where we want to go, and possibly even quicker, by slowing down when necessary. Things will go fast, and no time will be wasted. There’s no need to be concerned about things getting completed on schedule since they usually do so sooner than expected.
Prepare yourself for a rapid shift and an increase in your life’s speed. Things are going to become very hectic. The good news is that any tasks you start will go along swiftly, with minimal delays and a happy finish. However, its brevity requires fast choices and concentration. This card is also excellent for relationships, but it may indicate that you may need to travel for them. All things considered, this is an excellent card to have in your spread if you’re prepared to put in the effort.
The Eight of Wands card returns us to the Wands suite’s origins – the idea of creative mobility and strength. A wand is a tool, a gadget that allows us to channel our energy out into the world. It’s an object of action because it brings what’s within of us to the surface, allowing it to drive pure activity. You can picture the kind of activity that this card implies with eight of the items on it!
In terms of look, the Eight of Wands is one of the most straightforward cards in the tarot deck. In the backdrop, we see a verdant, developing valley with a thin river flowing through it. We notice eight wands/staffs in the front, all of which are sticking out, almost as if actively flying through the air. Is it true that they’re being thrown? Is it only that they’re falling from the sky? From our vantage point, it’s impossible to say for sure, but one thing is certain: those wands are going somewhere.
Full Speed Ahead!
This is the card of unexpected action. The Eight of Wands, like a javelin falling from the sky or lightning striking from the sky, indicates that things will happen swiftly. This is the card of unexpected news and shocks, so don’t take it lightly. Unfortunately, this card is also a huge mystery – it does not indicate what kind of activities, news, or surprises are on the way, other than the fact that they are.
This card also implies that there will be no wasted energy in new initiatives, projects, events, and so on. It might even be a call to action: perhaps you’ve been putting off finishing a project, but the Eight of Wands is here to remind you that now is the time to devote all of your efforts to finish it. Whatever the situation may be, be aware that what is ahead will need your whole focus and every ounce of creative energy you possess.
When you see the Eight of Wands card, ask yourself these questions. What level of preparedness do you have for the unexpected? Are you able to get straight into a new project? What is the state of your creative energy? If you’re low in energy, you’ll want to do all you can to reclaim it immediately, before anything unexpected happens!
What Eight of Wands Means for You Today
The Eight of Wands has appeared today to show that you are building momentum in some areas of your life. This is also typically known as a card indicating an incoming message or communication. You could receive that call, text, or email you have been waiting on today. Things are moving fast today so try not to get too caught up in the chaos. When we move too fast because things are moving fast around us, it can be easy to make mistakes. When things move too quickly, this is when its time to make the mind move slowly.

THE TOWER CARD: Remember who we are: those progressing from
darkness to light. The key is YOUR RESPONSE to this imposing card, but I am thinking that it is entirely up to you as to how
you respond to it. To whom much is given, much is expected….
at some point in your Life, Consciousness will be made aware
to you. Just be ready for it BEFORE the Solar Flash. IK think it
is a two-edged sword.
