  1. Frankl’s philosophy:
“Self-Transcendence is a core principle in Viktor Frankl’s philosophy. His teaching recommends a purposeful way of life that fosters meaning through service to others. LogoWisdom Media combines diverse voices of experience and expertise in a unique resource of wisdom for how to live Logotherapy.”

He’s alluding to soul transcending over the flesh (material), Also
to morality. He’s saying – Aim higher than the flesh because we are
SOUL and mere flesh is too depressing – but when you give MEANING (he is meaning something transcendent like G-d) – then
therapy and other efforts will have the INSPIRATION to actually succeed.
Maybe something like 12 steps – I believe there, that it’s G-d based for its inspiration, saying you are better than your own evident self of what you see – to heal yourself. He’s not referring to the idealist who is self oriented but the exact opposite – he’s saying when you live for morality (something higher than yorself) – THAT’S therapeutic.

    1. I agree… he has produced a well said argument for being true to yourself to the extent that you are capable of healing yourself (self-love perhaps?)!

      1. I think he’s saying – go out of yourself – see yourself as part of something higher (which is not about “you”)… which will lead to healing…

  3. I like critical thinking applied to everyday life. Sure, you can dream as he suggests, I just take the pragmatic approach. Maybe too much USMC Intelligence. but it works.
