Notice every business that accepts your debit card is charging YOU their fee to process it? Well, ICYMI, this just came out. Yes, it is a grab, and now the merchant, receiving your cash, can cover your expense to their overhead by telling you there will be an added charge on your ticket.
This really is your chance to do something. Bank profits are huge from this.
Look this over and consider limiting these merchants and banks from taking your money?

This isn’t registering to me. My credit union says THEY are paying any fee to use their debit card, not me. If I find out I am paying someone else a fee to use the card, I may quit altogether using it and start again using CASH. It’s a pain but I’ll adjust….Debit cards are so convenient but I will not pay to use them…..my credit union can pay some other entity but it better not be me.

Fortunately my credit union had a copy of the Debit Card Agreement posted online and I re-read it again.. I just found another reason to bank with a good credit union and not a bank….my CU does not charge me to use my debit card, the only fees paid to VISA are by the merchant that accepts the debit card. Whew! Thanks for the suggestion to go back and read the original agreement, I don’t want VISA making a dime off me if possible.
