The U.S. government started notifying federal workers on Thursday that a shutdown appears imminent, as a Republican-led standoff on Capitol Hill forced the Biden administration to embark on the formal, methodical process of preparing much of Washington to come to a halt.

The messages acknowledged the growing risk that millions of employees and military service members may stop receiving pay in just three days, unless lawmakers in Congress can clinch a last-minute — and increasingly unlikely — deal that would extend government funding beyond Saturday.

“During this time, some of you will be temporarily furloughed while others who perform excepted functions will continue to execute your assigned duties,” read one of the notices, sent to employees at the Department of Homeland Security and obtained by The Washington Post.

A government shutdown could affect many services that people rely on. Here’s what you need to know about how it will affect you if you use nutrition programs like WIC or SNAP, if you’re on Medicaid or Medicare, if you’re a government employee or contractor, if you’re traveling by air or need a passport.

A shutdown would force the government to pare back to only its most vital functions. The resulting disruptions are likely to be significant, especially if the stalemate persists for weeks, potentially dragging down the fragile U.S. economy while complicating many of the services on which millions of Americans and businesses rely.
Some federal programs, including Social Security and mail delivery, would be unaffected, because they are funded outside of the annual appropriations process on Capitol Hill. But many other government operations would be rendered inaccessible if funds expire — resulting in closed parks and passport offices, and worrisome interruptions affecting federal housing, food and health aid for the poor.
Caught in the middle are the nation’s roughly 2 million federal workers and its approximately 1.3 million active-duty troops. On Thursday morning, some agencies began alerting many of these workers about the prospects of a funding lapse, which means they cannot be paid for as long as Congress fails to come to an agreement — though they would get paid back once any shutdown ends.
Members of the military are expected to helm their posts even without pay, as are a select group of civilian employees — such as bag-inspection agents at airports and federal law enforcement officials — whose jobs are considered essential to public safety or national security. But the Biden administration has yet to inform workers individually if they are going to be furloughed or exempted from a shutdown, adding to the anxieties of a political feud that has roiled the nation’s capital.

Well, I trust her more than some of the truthers…and their 107 and SG Anon, and blah blah blah…when I listen to her, I don’t get totally annoyed, but I can hear how annoyed she is getting with these lucerferian bloodline dragon families…she really gave them a chance to work with her for humanity, but they will not give up and work for the people. Kim has said all along that we have to do this, we have to help each other out, she didn’t tell us some military group is gonna save us, and never said some savior was gonna change things once he got into office…nope, not once…she has always said that we gotta do this, meaning stop sitting and believing/asking gooberment to solve our problems, stop thinking that you can vote and get a real person to change things….it’s all corrupt, it must be dismantled, all the alphabet soup agencies, all the huge gooberment departments….less is more, and we need to help each other out to counter what they are doing to us, and that is all she has said, she’s tried to get them to work on helping people instead of their plandemics and wars….she won’t be funding them.
Now if you listen to 107 and the truthers…well..it’s gonna be another RED OCTOBER, oh, Biden is gonna do this, Biden is gonna do that. running in circles…same crap different day. No one knows for sure if any of the things they say is going on is going on…gitmo, executions, blah blah blah…oh, we got 5 months to conquer Biden? LOL, it just keeps getting more and more ridiculous, like the assassination attempt now looming, like two years ago they said Trump would get arrested…took them two years to get that done.
Now some FEMA signal, which Kim says ain’t gonna happen, cuz that was their thing to send out a frequency to make everyone sick. They wanted access to the system and she told them no…they aren’t gonna get their plandemic, nor their funding for their wars. At least it’s something positive instead of the constant drama the truthers and so called white hats are always putting out…chasing the boogieman everywhere, blaming it all on the Biden Avatar…so yeah, I’d rather listen to her and believe that they will once again, be stopped in their agenda and humanity will eventually stand up and get tired of the grifters and truthers and 107 RED OCTOBERS…and oh, something big is gonna happen in March or april of next year…by december they’ll have things in place if their plans go as they want…marching on into 2024..
Yeah, I think I’ll just listen to some positive outcomes and envision that future and not the white hat Biblical Blockbuster movie they got going on.
