Israeli media reported that “Israel’s” railroad network has been targeted by a cyberattack.
The Cyber Avengers hacker group has revealed information showing that it targeted the Israeli railroad system’s electrical infrastructure.
Since 2020, the Cyber Avengers has hacked into and carried out numerous cyberattacks against the Israeli railroad systems, as per their Telegram channel.
The group warned that if the Israeli occupation continues to pursue its crimes, it would deliver dreadful blows to Israeli infrastructure.
It is noteworthy that the Cyber Avengers has previously claimed responsibility for an attack that targeted the infrastructure of Bazan, “Israel’s” largest refinery that produces gasoline.In recent months, the infrastructure and websites of the Israeli occupation were subjected to large-scale cyberattacks by several hacker groups.In mid-May, Israeli media reported that the website of Ben Gurion Airport in “Tel Aviv” went out of service, reportedly due to a reported cyber attack. The Israeli Rotter Net news website also went offline due to a cyber attack launched by the Anonymous Sudan hacker group, while other attacks targeted the Israeli Emergency Alert System application, also known as Red Alert.The media also reported in mid-April that over 60 Israeli websites came under a heavy wave of cyber attacks in just a few days span. The targets included Israeli occupation government sites, major newspapers, and public services, where some of the hacks led to a takeover of databases.As a result, Ronen Bar, the head of the Israeli security agency Shin Bet, confirmed in late June that “Tel Aviv” was developing the “global cyber iron dome” system in cooperation with a number of countries to identify “threats” using artificial intelligence (AI), as per Israeli media.
