My next door neighbour is in Las Vegas now and says the flooding was mostly in West Vegas but it took them an hour to do a 25 minute drive in the east.

This is a gigantic story and growing. The Burning Man Festival in Nevada fizzled out when heavy rains turned the playa into mud flats and brought the event to a mucky halt. We heard they had instructed the revelers to shelter in place and conserve food and water. Jason Shurka attended and checked in with David Rodriguez on the situation there early on. We hear FEMA and the National Guard are there now.
I find it interesting that it’s the “Black Rock Desert” that they refer to as the playa, which is Spanish for beach or area adjacent to the sea. All they were missing in this dessert was the sea, and now it’s a sea of mud. I smell an “operation”.
One opinion stated on social media was that the Burning Man was mostly a bunch of elites and influencers doing what they do.
