Following Trumpβs arraignment on “conspiracy” charges last week, the 2024 GOP frontrunnerβs former vice president, Mike Pence, said that the 2020 election results would have been turned over to the House of Representatives if he rejected the Electoral College votes.
“It wasnβt just to ask for a pause, the president specifically asked me and his gaggle of crackpot lawyers asked me to literally reject votes, which would have resulted in the issue being turned over to the House of Representatives, and literally chaos would have ensued,” said Pence.

“People can read the indictment and frankly, Iβve said before, I had hoped that itβd not come to this point. You know, I donβt know if the government can meet the standard, the burden of proof beyond reasonable doubt for criminal charges, but the American people deserve to know that President Trump and his advisors didnβt just asked me to pause, they asked me to reject votes, return votes, essentially to overturn the election.”
On Thursday, Trump was arraigned on charges of conspiracy to defraud the government, conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, obstruction of and attempt to obstruct an official proceeding, and conspiracy against rights. He pleaded not guilty.
In the indictment from Special Counsel Jack Smith, he alleges that Trump enlisted six co-conspirators to “assist him in his criminal efforts to overturn the legitimate results of the 2020 presidential election and retain power.”
The indictment alleges that Trump was “determined to remain in power” after the 2020 election, and for the two months following the election “the Defendant spread lies that there had been outcome-determinative fraud in the election and that he actually won.”
“After it became public on the afternoon of January 6 that the Vice President would not fraudulently alter the election results, a large and angry crowdβincluding many individuals whom the Defendant had deceived into believing the Vice President could and might change the election resultsβviolently attacked the Capitol and halted the proceeding. As violence ensued, the Defendant and co-conspirators exploited the disruption by redoubling efforts to levy false claims of election fraud and convince Members of Congress to further delay the certification based on those claims,” the indictment stated.
Pence is currently running against his former administration partner for the GOP nomination, with Pence usually polling in the single digits While Trump leads anywhere from 40 to 60 points.

As we did not have control of the House, it likely would not have helped. If we have learned anything about the Uniparty Dems & Rinos it is this: They care nothing for our Republic, nor a truly fair Democratic process in any election.

Few people used to know the second part of the First Amendment, which protects our Right to the Redress of our Grievances, such as in case of a fraudulent election. We The People even turned up at the proper building to protest the election, the Capitol Building.

βSomehowβ Mr. Posobiec omitted a critical part of what Pence had to say about this, namely that he didnβt have the authority to do that!
Since WordPress wonβt let me post links, do an Internet Search for the following and youβll find plenty of articles stating this: Pence blasts Trump and “crackpot lawyers”
Meanwhile, Tracy Reinert seems determined to display a complete lack of knowledge about the Constitution or our Laws. That includes βcuriouslyβ omitting a key part of the First Amendment!
βthe right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievancesβ
I βwonderβ why the word βpeaceablyβ was left out? What happened on January 6th was anything but peaceable! Why do Trumpsters think they can get away with such obvious lies? π‘

Dear cindyloucbp (August 8, 2023 at 21:31):
What βtruthβ are you babbling about? π
Pence did not admit he had the βlegal abilityβ to do what Lying Trump wanted. In fact, he said the exact opposite! π‘
The First Amendment only grants a right to peaceably assemble. What happened on January 6th was anything but βpeaceableβ! π‘
Like your false βMessiahβ (Lying Trump), you are a bald-faced and pathological liar! So, Iβm done wasting my time here. Feel free to spew your delusions and deceits to your heartβs content.
Iβll just issue a final warning: donβt expect to get to Heaven. Last I checked bearing false witness is a big βno-noβ, and thatβs all youβre doing.
