The Sound of Freedom film is shocking box office pre-ales with more than $10 million in tickets sold ahead of its theatrical release on July 4.
The film, which is being distributed by Angel Studios, details the true story of how Tim Ballard, a then-federal agent, quit his job and risked his life to journey into the jungles of Colombia in an effort to save children from sex slavery.

“Time and again, Angel fans have proven that they’ll support films that are entertaining and inspiring, and Sound of Freedom is no exception,” Angel Studios Senior Vice President of Global Distribution Jared Geesey told the Washington Examiner.
“Industry experts are telling us this surge in presales is stunning the whole industry, but we believe the Angels marshaling their resources for this film aim for it to stun people outside of our industry, to wake audiences all over the globe to the plight of these children,” Geesey added. “We are now closer to our goal of selling 2 million tickets this opening week to symbolize the 2 million children who are trapped in the horrors of trafficking each year.”
