It may be a long weekend and this may be a “holiday” but big news continues to flow, so here we are. There are very interesting things happening but let’s not forget why we have extra time to contemplate the significance of this day.

It seems there are always elections going on somewhere. Australia recently held an election, Erdogan was just re-elected in Turkey, and Alberta Canada is holding their provincial election today. Will it mean a shift? They need major change up there in the North 40.
I looked for some indicators but we’ll have to see what happens because we know elections have been manipulated in Canada in the past. It seems that when a large number of people woke up, Danielle Smith and the United Conservatives took over in Alberta. Can they keep it?
In 2015, the NDP crushed Calgary with an orange block securing 14 of 25 ridings. The Alberta Liberals won one seat and so did Greg Clark’s Alberta Party.
In 2019, the latter were obliterated and the NDP lost 11 seats.
The newly formed UCP took 23 of 26 seats after ridings were redrawn.
Young and other political watchers believe Edmonton will experience another orange wave, while rural Alberta will stick to its roots in Tory blue.
Calgary is so smoky at this point from all the fires up north that some don’t want to spend time outdoors. Meanwhile, Nova Scotia burns and thousands of people had to evacuate their homes.
Many have bandied about the question as to whether there will be an Internet Blackout. Some feel it’s inevitable. For me it would be a forced vacation. There’s always a bright side. If really bad news is coming for the cabal, they may try to shut things down to hush it up.
