{Local: Euphrates News} Iraq and the United Mexican States agreed to establish a parliamentary friendship committee between the two countries.
The Iraqi side was represented in the announcement ceremony, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, {Euphrates News} received a copy of it, on the formation of the committee that took place at the headquarters of the Mexican House of Representatives, Chargé d’affaires a.i. of the Republic of Iraq to Mexico Ali Essam Abdel Ali, the Mexican side, Chairman of the Friendship Committee, MP Manuel Alejandro Robles Dominguez, and in the presence of the Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Mexican House of Representatives, MP Alfredo Feitman Panyules, and several of the 17 members of the Committee, and the Chairman of the Africa, Central Asia and Middle East Department of the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Jose Octavio Tripp.
The two sides stressed “the common desire to develop parliamentary relations between the two countries, build bridges of trust, coordination and joint cooperation, and that parliamentary diplomacy plays its role in this field along with government diplomacy, in order to develop relations between the two friendly countries and start from the historical legacy of this relationship.”
