Congressional Republicans are demanding that Secretary of State Antony Blinken resign after recent testimony from the former acting director of the CIA indicated that Blinken may have been a driving force behind an attempt to discredit the Hunter Biden laptop story.
After the Republican-led House Judiciary Committee released a letter containing several quotes from former acting CIA Director Michael Morell’s testimony, conservatives began calling for Blinken to resign or be impeached. According to Morell’s testimony, Blinken directly reached out to him about the New York Post’s bombshell report on Hunter Biden’s laptop — and the call reportedly triggered a false statement signed by 50 former members of the intelligence community that claimed the story was part of a Russian disinformation operation.

The New York Post’s report was later proven to be true, and the laptop was proven to belong to Hunter Biden, but the damage was already done — the intel community letter provided a means for the mainstream media to dismiss the story and for social media to censor the story, which coincidentally prevented it from being shared ahead of the 2020 election.
Now, Republicans are arguing that Blinken’s alleged role in the creation of the letter disqualifies him from serving in his role as the secretary of state.
“This, in my opinion, probably disqualifies him to serve as the secretary of state,” Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) told Just the News on Friday.
“Tony Blinken, you should resign,” Biggs added, while also discussing the prospect of impeachment.
Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI), a lead congressional investigator looking into the corruption of the Biden family, also spoke out about the news — stating that Blinken needs to resign if it is proven that he was the “impetus” of the statement.
“And if he doesn’t resign, he should be impeached,” Johnson said in a statement to The Star News Network. “Again, so many members of the Biden administration have this level of deceit, dishonesty and corruption. This is a lawless administration.”
Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-TX) was much stronger than his colleagues in his condemnation of the secretary of state.
“Anthony Blinken is a disgrace,” he tweeted. “He has now lost ALL credibility. He’s damaged our country irreparably. He needs to RESIGN NOW!!”

If it were just the letter saying the laptop was Russian disinformation I wouldn’t care as much but there is SOOOOOOOOO much more. Everything with China-Blinken. Election tampering-Blinken. A trivial one, just being in the regime. A not trivial at all one, he was going to contact China if necessary. Get him out.
