Joe Biden is ramping up his war on fossil fuels.

But one Democrat has had enough.

And all hell is breaking loose after a top Democrat Senator revealed the disturbing truth about Joe Biden’s electric vehicle scheme.

President Joe Biden declared war on fossil fuels and American energy production on his first day in office through executive fiat.

Biden ended construction on the Keystone XL Pipeline, and banned new oil and gas leases for drilling on federal lands.

But that was only the beginning of President Biden’s war on fossil fuels.

He is also trying to force Americans to drive expensive electric vehicles that utilize technology that is still in its infancy of development.

In 2021, under his command, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) passed a new rule that requires 50% of all vehicles sold in America be electric by 2030.

And just recently, the EPA put forward aggressive pollution limits on automobiles that require at least 54% of new vehicles sold in the United States to be electric by 2030, and as many as every three by 2032.

“This is a very ambitious proposal,” EPA Administrator Michael Regan said during a briefing with reporters on Tuesday. “This proposal solicits a number of ways to achieve these goals and we plan to strategically engage all our stakeholders.”

But one top Democrat Senator strongly opposes Biden’s electric vehicle scheme.

On Tuesday, Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) released a scathing statement declaring his strong opposition to the proposal.

As Chairman of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, Manchin’s opinion carries extra weight in Congress.

And Senator Manchin ripped the EPA for “lying to Americans.”

“The EPA is lying to Americans with false claims about how their manipulation of the market to boost EVs will help American energy security,” Manchin’s statement read. “In reality, this is a Trojan horse.”

Manchin pointed out how the Biden regime’s electric vehicle mandate only serves to boost the Communist Chinese.

“To meet these timelines will mean strengthening our reliance on minerals and technologies controlled by the Chinese,” Manchin wrote. “Taken in concert with the clear violation of the IRA to undermine provisions that would actually secure these supply chains, this Administration is taking steps that will only result in a more energy secure and powerful China,” the statement continued, before adding “I don’t believe that making progress on climate change should come at the expense of our national and energy security.”

Senator Manchin then dropped the hammer, calling on his colleagues to join him in “overturning these dangerous EPA regulations.”

“I fully support Congress overturning these dangerous EPA regulations,” the Senator’s statement concluded.

Manchin was not the only Senator to point out how Biden’s proposal only benefits Communist China.

“This plan is totally disconnected by the reality of our supply chain and energy infrastructure, and will result in the U.S. depending even more on China for raw rare earth minerals that the Biden administration doesn’t allow to be mined here,” Senator Mike Braun (R-IN) said.

President Biden is trying to push forward with the Left’s radical environmentalist agenda that will end fossil fuels, and destroy working class Americans’ standard of living and the economy.

But Joe Biden’s extremism is even too much for some Democrats to handle.
