Editor’s Note: There is some great advice in the article below, yet it’s actually pretty simple to change your mind, and we actually “do” this all the time. The real question is learning how to Balance our minds…and that is where the peace inside is! So…spend some quiet time (for most folks, that is bedtime), and focus on BEing happy! Turn your mental wanderings to those things you enjoy, from the past, present, or future, stay there a while, and then BE in…

Quantum Joy!

This reality of the ego mind is like a maze of mirrors and we wander, lost and confused as we chase the illusory images in one mirror after another. We experience endless trials and errors while blindly attempting to exit the maze. But the only way out of this ego mind/matrix is through the pursuit of spiritual power and the attainment of belief in self.Every human’s challenge in this “matrix” varies from individual to individual with karmic variations. What varies is the degree to which one is enslaved by its programs called thoughts. The degree one is enslaved to it, is determined by the extent to which one identifies with the thoughts as me, or true.
Mental illness is the definition of identifying with the ego mind as “Me.” When you believe the limited and negative thoughts/illusions of the mind to be true, you become mentally ill. The narcissistic core of the ego mind is aligned with being “right.” When the mind is unaided by a higher energy (a great teacher), the ego/mind cannot transcend itself. Did you know the human mind, without help, cannot identify what is true vs what is false? This single fact is confrontational to the average mind and thus are not welcomed by those who profit from the mind’s illusions of limitation.
Thoughts on the brain is called Mind. The brain without thoughts is called Pure Consciousness.
When we let go the ego mind, it has no power and it begins to decline it’s programs (thoughts) as one progresses spiritually.Pride in the form of vanity of thought, concepts and opinions is the basis of ignorance. Only pure consciousness, which is empty of its contents (thoughts/beliefs), can pass through new barriers of perception and become clear like water.
The ego uses the human mind as camouflage and becomes hidden in its clever construction. Profound silence is more influential and beneficial than a waterfall of redundant words and actions that emanate from the Spiritual Ego and its indulgence in spiritual rhetoric. This reality is just a world of mirrors, and all that we experience is our own energy field reflected back upon us as perception and experiencing.
What you “see” and experience in reality is a projection of what you entertain in your mind.Unless we can become self aware of our own self-interest animal = the ego and start to understand and accept its influence, it will not lose its control. The ego functions on satisfaction and gratification of survival needs and desires.
The ego/mind does not experience the world but only its own perception of it.
As you progress spiritually, the ego self begins to dissolve and merges into the Real Self, which has its own learning capacities that differ from those of the ego/mind. You have more focus, concentration and mental energy to use and exercise your creative superpower, your imagination. This is shown when one takes full responsibility of ones life by virtue of the fact that they know, they are the creator of their reality. By looking inward and discovering ones unconscious programming and secret payoffs by simply writing down one’s grievances and worries and then merely turning them around into their opposites over and over again is what Masters and great teachers teach.
Discipline the mind by letting go and surrendering to silence.
Through the eye of the ego, life is like a kaleidoscope of constantly changing attractions and repulsions, fears and transient pleasures. Without a teacher or help, the ego mind does not know which way to look and may merely settle back into basic survival techniques that have no value.
The ego is the imaginary doer behind all thought and action.
Its presence is based on a belief that it is essential for survival. It believes the goal of life is to do, act, acquire, perform with an intention of “becoming.” But it is an illusion and pure fiction.
It is addicted to lack, survival and the secret pleasure of negativity, which cannot be released unless it is recognized, identified and owned without shame or guilt. The ego loves and clings to the position of victimhood and the distorted pleasure and justification from pain and suffering. It defends its own limitations with prideful denial, thus becoming it’s own victim.
This is what every human being inherits and operates. But at the same time it is not personal at all. It is a test of our spirit to exercise our power we innately have to create. To realize this “matrix” ego mind and progress spiritually we must dissolve the ego by compassionate understanding.
It takes courage to defy the ego mind and let go all pride with humility and acceptance. By releasing its control and its fear of the future, the ego has habitual modes of perception that must be released. In order to progress, the programs have to be identified first before it can be disassembled. You have to let go all concepts and everything that you’ve obtained and as contents of your consciousness.
This reality is created by the ego mind and not the real self – the heart. Once we can become aware of ourselves and overcome the ego, this reality will reflect the balance, abundance, creativity, joy and happiness that exits when you live in wholeness and belief.
Until we all do this individually and collectively, the world will continue to be a reflection of its painful projections rather than the real reality of peace, joy, freedom and love.
To truly change the world is to listen to the silence of your heart and not the voices of the mind. Calm your heart and empty your mind.– Billy Rood / Creator of FIFTY8
