Democrats were popping the champagne corks after Soros-funded Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg indicted Donald Trump.
But they should not have been celebrating so soon.
And Joe Biden just learned some extremely bad news about indicting Donald Trump.
Joe Biden and the Democrats weaponized the justice system to go after Trump to not only try and put him in jail – any trial will likely take place after the 2024 election – but to disqualify Trump in the minds of voters.
On every front Joe Biden’s plan appears to be failing.
A brand new McLaughlin and Associates poll taken after the indictment shows Donald Trump built his lead from 12 to 30 points in a multi-candidate election.
“In a full-field ballot test of 14 potential Republican candidates, President Trump leads with 51%, DeSantis 21%, Mike Pence 6%, Nikki Haley 4%, and everyone else is at 2% or less. In our January survey, President Trump led the field with 43%, and DeSantis was at 31%. Trump’s lead has gone from 12 points to 30 points,” the accompanying polling memo read.
Trump also stretched his advantage over Florida Governor Ron DeSantis in a one on one matchup to from 12 to 33 points.
“In a one-on-one primary ballot test, President Trump beats Governor DeSantis 63% to 30%. Trump’s lead is up to 33 points from his January lead of 12 points (52% to 40%),” the polling memo added.
This poll also showed a plurality of voters agreeing that Joe Biden weaponized the government and the justice system to go after Trump.
“Most general election voters see the justice system being highly politicized. A plurality of voters, 48%, agree with the statement ‘Joe Biden and the radical left have weaponized the justice system to prosecute their political opponents.’ Only 39% disagreed. Republican primary voters agreed with this statement 82% to 11%,” the polling memo continued.
Finally, and this is the worst news for Biden, the McLaughlin and Associates poll found Trump’s four-point lead over Joe Biden unchanged from their pre-indictment survey.
“In a general election ballot test, President Trump leads Joe Biden 47-43. This number is virtually unchanged from our March 2023 survey,” the polling memo read.
The Democrats launched these new witch hunts to investigate Trump in New York, Atlanta, and Washington, D.C. over sham charges about payoffs to Stormy Daniels, contesting the 2020 election, and a document dispute with the National Archives all because Donald Trump decided to run for reelection.
These witch hunts were supposed to be the “break glass in case of emergency” Plan B to stop Trump.
But the first round of polling data suggests that the plan is a complete failure.
