A couple of days ago I homed in on a seemingly inconsequential article by The Globe and Mail on the activities of Dow Chemical after they promised to recycle old shoes but instead they were found for sale in Indonesia.
The following claims by Dr. Robert Young won’t throw so pale a shadow on the chemical giant. This qualifies in my mind as a “scare event”. It’s an excellent article I recommend everyone read so we understand the situation.

The Liquid Cargo Came From Dow’s Toxic Waste Site!
The source of the liquid cargo came from Madison, Illinois, a shut-down uranium-rod production facility of the infamous Dow Chemical Company (of Agent Orange notoriety), more recently operating under the cover name of Spectrulite.
This diagram shows the phosgene cloud affecting some of most densely populated areas in the Northeast USA AND CANADA as of February 8.
What do we even say to this horror show? Is it for real, or is this one of the “scare events”?

To close, I just had to share this incredible footage; the most amazing landing I have ever seen in what seems to be a rubber plane. Who knew this thing would hold together? It’s mesmerizing. Can you imagine being a passenger, not knowing what is happening?
That just might be a good analogy for our current circumstances. We’re coming in hot, it’s chaotic, we don’t exactly know what’s coming but trust we have competent people in the cockpit. We think the landing will look a certain way, and it may be completely different. While it may be rough, when we debark, albeit shaken but relieved to still be here, we will be changed and stronger and nothing like this will ever happen again.
