BoJo Hannibalgate: UK Diplomats Slammed For Spending Thousands On Celebrity Lookalikes — The Times
The British Embassy to Sweden has come under fire after it was revealed it spent £7,000 ($8,500) on celebrity impersonators for the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
The cash went to celebrity lookalikes impersonating singers like David Bowie and Baby Spice.
Perhaps most notably at the party was the faux Boris Johnson – caged and dressed in a straitjacket like Hannibal Lector from Silence of the Lambs.
The Foreign Office said the performers were not meant to parody the former PM.
