After a shocking final vote in which Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) was the deciding vote that denied GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy (Calif.) the Speakership for the 14th time, Republicans moved to adjourn.
Republicans change minds on adjournment; TOO LATE
After a shocking final vote in which Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) was the deciding vote that denied GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy (Calif.) the Speakership for the 14th time, Republicans moved to adjourn.
But after they had gotten 218 votes, the threshold needed to adjourn, something changed.
Gaetz walked up to McCarthy, appearing to say, “One more time.”
After that, McCarthy and his allies changed their votes at the last minute.
“One more time!” members shouted as they rushed to the House clerk to deliver vote changes.
They changed their minds too late. You can clearly see time had expired on the adjourn vote. McCarthy was clearly elected ILLEGALLY. It’s like the football team is allowed to score after the time runs out. INVESTIGATION.
We need the 64 Republicans who illegally changed their vote after the time expired.
Somebody needs to investigate the last vote to adjourn. It’s an electronic vote. What did we learn about an electronic vote in the election? At 00 time remaining here’s a screenshot. Congress should have adjourned. Look at the second screen shot. Look how the vote changes 11 minutes later. Was there vote manipulation? This was an ILLEGAL vote. What do you think?
