What is the Solar Plexus Chakra?
You might have heard that there are seven main chakras in the body, but this isn’t exactly true. The truth is that there are more than 200 energy centers in the body—some small, some large—and each one has its own unique purpose.
So what’s a “chakra”?
Chakras are energy vortexes within the body that store information about our emotions, thoughts, beliefs, and experiences. They’re connected to specific physical organs or glands as well as different parts of our bodies (e.g., head, neck).
Each chakra has its own color, sound vibration, number of petals, and associated organ (s).
The solar plexus chakra, referred to as “manipura” in Sanskrit, is located in the area of the abdomen from the breastbone to the navel. When balanced, this energy center enables you to feel confident and secure about yourself, your actions, and your life direction.
The solar plexus chakra is associated with the color yellow. You can easily recognize its presence by looking at someone’s face or body language: if they appear confident, then it shows that their solar plexus chakra is open and healthy!
When this chakra is open, we feel more confident, courageous, determined, and motivated. We also believe in ourselves and our ability to achieve our goals in life.
The Positive and Negative Qualities of the Solar Plexus Chakra
The Solar Plexus Chakra is the chakra of willpower, ambition, and personal power. When this chakra is balanced, it brings feelings of self-confidence, self-esteem, and self-discipline.
When it’s imbalanced or blocked, you may experience feelings of fear and anxiety for no apparent reason; you might also find yourself feeling angry or depressed for no apparent reason. You may also feel like your life has no meaning.
Transitioning from a Negative to a Positive Solar Plexus Chakra
• The first thing you should do is meditate on how to balance your chakras. This will help you release negative energy, anxiety, stress, and fear.
• If you suffer from anger or depression, it’s essential that you learn how to release these feelings through meditation as well. Meditation can also help with grief and sadness because they are emotions that occur when we lose something or someone important in our lives.
To open your solar plexus chakra, you need to focus on self-esteem and personal power. Here are some steps to help you:
1) Consider how much control you have over your life and yourself.
2) Focus on how much control you have over your life, whether it’s controlling what happens or controlling your thoughts about what happens.
3) Practice releasing negative emotions such as anger, frustration, fear, guilt, etc., so that they don’t keep coming up again and again, taking away from your power over yourself and your life.
Yoga For The Solar Plexus Chakra
There are many yoga poses that can help you open your solar plexus chakra. The most basic pose for opening the solar plexus chakra is called “bridge pose” or “upward facing dog.”
When you do this pose, you elevate your hips above your shoulders and lengthen through the spine. This helps to stimulate the area around your belly button or navel area, which corresponds with the Solar Plexus Chakra.
If you find it too difficult to hold this position on one leg at a time, try placing a pillow underneath each knee so that they can rest comfortably on top of it while they perform this pose together as a team!
You might have been born with this chakra closed, but it is never too late to open it. As you continue along on your spiritual journey, always remember that you can use intentional choices and actions to open the solar plexus chakra. If an imbalance exists, seek help from a trained practitioner or yogi.
In the long run, opening the solar plexus chakra will be of great benefit to you. Be aware that true liberation can only come from within, not from anyone or anything outside of yourself.
Once you gain access to your own inner truths, you can no longer be manipulated by outside forces or misguided individuals.
The solar plexus chakra is also associated with self-honesty, personal power, and determination. In other words, you must learn who you are and what you’re capable of before moving forward through life.
