Why is Evergrande so pivotal to the markets? Because big banks bought bonds in Evergrande. Those purchased bonds are considered Assets for the Big Banks.
Again, they never thought the she would lose. China consumed 20% of the real estate market in the USA, so their plan could have been to completely infiltrate America with China real estate properties. Then the Big Banks saw this as an opportunity to go Big and buy up Evergrande Bonds!!!
So when EGRNF goes down, the value of the assets for these Big Banks decreases significantly! Those assets are required for the new trading regulations for hedge funds! They must have enough assets to hold a position in trading. They cannot use that as an asset to hold a certain stock / trading position, so they are forced to sell or close that position.
So when we reported about Evergrande a few months ago, they were found on the SEC register.
