Recall that at the beginning of this trecena (the numbers 1-13 in the Mayan calendar), I talked about how this 13 day period is when we learn the most in the entire 260 day count. Today we are at 10, 10 Wind. 10 Wind brings changes, often abruptly and in the form of some loss or deconstruction.
The sign of Wind is communicative. On 10 Wind, communication can decimate or uplift.
The primary energies today are aggressive. The Sun is located at “a flag bearer in battle,” Mercury at “Indians – some rowing a canoe and others dancing a war dance in it,” and Mars at “two men playing chess.”
Ok, we know that war is in the air. Something else is in the air! Spirit. The Sun is preparing to conjunct the Galactic Center tomorrow at 9:20 pm EST. When the Sun is in this part of the zodiac, we receive transmissions from Source. We transmit back and the Galactic Center receives.
At the New Moon, I discussed how we are in the time of the year when we receive the breath or wind of Spirit. We are “on pause,” huddling close together to receive the breath or wind of the Divine. Next cycle is active for us. But now it is Spirit’s turn.
We are trying to learn the message.
The last Full Moon – the Frost Full Moon/Partial Lunar Eclipse – brought us to the New Moon with the theme of “a widow’s past is brought to light.” Frost returns today with the Earth at “winter frost in the woods.” While a strong wind blows everything around today, we are as still as frost.
There is another reason to be as still as frost: Venus stations retrograde on Sunday. When Venus stations retrograde, it is like 10 Wind everyday. This time, it is a cascade with 27 Capricorn, “a fairy dancing in the mist of a waterfall.”
The end of this trecena, 13 Serpent, also occurs on Sunday.
The next cycle will come and the inspiration from the breath of the Divine will give way to us to respond. We are watching and learning.
