Y’all prolly know that the British just gave the American government the authority to extradite Julian Assange, bring him over here and try him for being a bad boy. The powers that shouldn’t be do not like journalists who divulge their dirty little secrets, and they’re bound and determined to make an example of Assange. Why Trump did not pardon Assange is a mystery to me, and speaks much about Trump. Why Biden does not pardon Assange is a bit more understandable for me — but it’s noteworthy that both an R and a D president did nothing to protect free speech and a free press.

So now Wikileaks has just given the world a ton of embarrassing secrets revealing the nature of totalitarian, authoritarian, statist governments. This was in response to the British court sending Assange to USA for trial. Guess he figured if he was bound to die in prison anyway, he might as well pull out all the stops. Enjoy this gift from a condemned man.
