Elon Musk’s announcement that Tesla HQ is moving from California to Austin reportedly came as a shock to his own staff – as he kept Gavin Newsom and co. in the dark too.
Newsom’s economy czar Dee Dee Myers said, ” Elon didn’t even tell his team… We didn’t even know until he made the announcement.” (Bloomberg)
While Tesla has made enormous investment in California, and has pledged to continue to do so, the richest man in the world has his eyes on a new educational institute.
“Am thinking of starting new university: Texas Institute of Technology & Science,” Musk tweeted. “It will have epic merch.”
