I have found a “new voice” giving us truth…Dr. Phrog whose website is aptly named…Seething Frog! I believe Dr. Phrog is knowledgeable about law and he has provided a letter for each of us to send to our Congressman reminding them that they work for us and therefore, must abide by our directive.

Dear Senator or Congress Person, Our fundamental rights to Freedom of Speech and a Free Press are being savagely attacked on the Internet. Small independent news and commentary channels are being shut down by the huge, unregulated monopolistic violators of our rights, YouTube, FaceBook and Twitter. As never before since our Bill of Rights were guaranteed by our Constitution have there been such challenges. And yet, even then, Congress is working against us. No decent person supports sex trafficking, but SB 1693 and HB 1865 are not the way to stop it. To the contrary, that approach opens up huge gaps to allow censorship, through threats and prosecutions by both Federal AND State Governments! Already Congress hides behind settlement processes that secretly pays off abused staffers, WITH TAX MONEY! And there is no disclosure, reprimand or warning to us, the US CITIZENS and voters. Of course, members of Congress, Federal Agencies and Executive branch who are sexual, graft and treason committers would want a mechanism in place to protect themselves! All they need to do is have a Federal or State agency allege abuse according to these laws and then shut down the Internet Platform, lock up the operators and intimidate the entire Internet system from ever disclosing the abuses and crimes. Do you not see how this could be perverted and used to censor truth? PLEASE, don’t support this Bill, it has very bad potential for unintended consequences!
