The joint venture theatrical production of V For Vendetta idolizes the violent overthrow of a corrupt government through miraculous acts of vigilantism and was released in December 2005 simultaneously in the United States, Germany and the United Kingdom. These are the very same police state powers that are now ascendant – and who are sharing their global espionage and censorship powers against their Constitutional Republic states.
V for Vendetta is set in the present day, some 400 years after Guy Fawkes’ execution.
