Editor’s Note: Yes…there were Century Link outages in Cheyenne yesterday because that’s where I Am right now. Landline phones, nor any kind of Internet were available for 36 hours. My cell service through Verizon was fine. The hospital where I work, along with various businesses we deal with (think blood unit suppliers) were unable to be contacted. Physician offices who use us for their lab work could not contact us to any kind of STAT pickup.
Perhaps this was a “wake up” call for many to be prepared for possible disruption in our near future? All I know is that my lab is now more prepared to function delivering lifesaving information when circumstances are not normal.

Steve says Century Link was involved in this one. That’s our carrier here in Arizona, but as far as I know there was no outage here. For a change, it wasn’t us—-and it often is. That was right off the top of the show.
