At one point the Secret Service whisked the President abruptly off the stage, but he returned. I can’t imagine living like this. It takes an extraordinary person to live with that lethal danger day in and day out and act like it’s business as usual.

It’s difficult to tell from what is televised, but the President and First Lady were protected inside a bulletproof cubicle. I’ve always been surprised that Trump stands so bravely without protection at the countless rallies he holds.
