This is a gross misrepresentation of Comey’s testimony. He may not have drawn specific conclusions about the legality of Trump’s actions, but that is not his current job, nor is it something he had been prepared to do at the time he was fired. Investigations take time. To pretend it’s significant that Comey didn’t find anything when he was stopped half way through his job is highly deceitful. Also Comey has made it clear he felt Donald was pressuring him to drop the investigation, which would indeed be quite illegal. That he doesn’t say so now is simply an indication of the care he takes with the subject. To spin that into a triumphant declaration that he didn’t find anything illegal in Trump’s behavior is deceiftul.
